Hi Guyz,
Any one here have tested a ICS or JB rom that can play 720p video playback (HW) and stable?
I've been looking for a months now, i already tried many roms. And yet no 720p video playback HW
Thanks..
I do not think that there is such a rom at this point. And as it seams that probably will never be possible on htc Desire. :/

in ICS , videos are recorded with a slower FPS than Gb or Froyo due to codecs compatibility I think, did Videocamm Illusion give you videos with 20 FPS or better ?
no more laggy video in ics

I have used CM roms on other devices but not on the sgh-t989. I was noticing as one now there is only CM9 nightlys and a RC2.
One thing that I remember on the CM9 were the bugs in playing videos from gallery that were HD 1080, as well as recording with the front facing camera.
Also I hate how the GPS is flaky on some CM releases.
So how is CM9 on the T989 as in what are the current bugs?

Yes, I am using the exact same ROM. I must say, it is almost perfect..the only problem is with the video recording...i am able to record with lg camera app and default but its very laggy......
See. May be video playback.. is bit laggy.. then use mx player..
But I didn't had any recording issues yet..!

CM9.1 video playback is laggy if you have a live wallpaper. For best video results use no wallpaper setting. I'm not sure of a working camera yet though.
I use CM10 form modpunk and camera is ok. Only preview has some noises and is not clear. It is not perfect but usable.
Can someone suggest a ROM for me which can do the following
-Play HQ youtube vids
-stable and smooth (doesn't crash)
-pretty (CM10 and maybe CM9)
Marvellous ROM djolivers

The only things I dislike on cm10 are laggy scrolling and Usb tethering bug, which do not exist in cm9.
So I like SlimSandwich by Henry_01, I think it's perfect.

Henry updated his miui ics based port, in which he fixed video playback. (He didnt post it in xda, but in his team's website). So I took the libs and replaced the old ones in slimsanswich, thus video playback is working flawlessly!
Ps. I think Henry said he will update slimsandwich soon too, so i guess he ll fix video playback on it too.
I recommend AOKP 4.2.2.
the owl project will suit u the best according to ur needs...!

What is the ROM which has good video recording capability except the Stock and Cyanogenmod 7.2. If there are any please suggest them with link(if you can find it )
Any gingerbread AOSP ROM would have the same recording capabilities as cm 7.2.
Also only stock will give you 720p if you care about 720p video recording.

Thanks man, will roms that state "Stock rom based off ota 4.08.605.19 710RD"(like Touch of Blue) provide 720p video recording ? or is it only the stock rom ? I really need a good rom with 720p video recording capability
Yes,mostly true.....Touch of blue is stock so camera and video functions should be all there.
ICS and later the Original Poster or Rom Developer will state whats working or whats not
your biggest problem will be finding active links. I run community rom when I need video recording but evervolv roms (older..ie pre JellyBean) usually everything works
http://evervolv.com/devices/inc
can't find any other active links

Just a stupid question, do evervolv 2.2 (pre jellybean) support 720p video recording ? or just normal recording ?
