Perhaps extremely stupid question but if you dont ask you won't know.
Is there an app that can turn our device into a media streamer using radio as output so we can listen in the car via the radio . Tune into user configureable freq etc
Or do we have to get another device attached to ours .
Thanks

The xplay has both a fm receiver and transmitter. But it has been disabled somewhere in the software. FXP is working on a fix.

If you have unlimited data, the fm radio apps on the market are way better i find since you can get stations from around the world
The one I use though wifi is called tune in radio.

Would definitely recommend tune in radio... even with a poor data signal it can keep your stream going... only downside is that since it buffers there is generally a bit of a delay...

Is there way to check the progress?
Thanks for the explanation, looking forward to had the same feature like this fm station on my play.
Internet radio was a bit annoying when it comes with buffering. xp

Try this:
Pause your music.
Go into Bluetooth settings, find your paired Bluetooth device and go into the settings for it. If there is a check mark next to Media Audio, uncheck it. It should ask you if you want to disconnect media audio, say yes or continue, I forgot which. Then check the box again.
Unpause your music.
If the box is NOT checked when you enter settings, click on it. It SHOULD enable, but it may ask if you want to disconnect Media Audio, which you will follow the same instructions as above. This is the problem I'm having.
Hope this helps.

I have a habit of listening to BBC world live via the BBC app
However , the playing often stops itself
I have made sure that I have got enough free ram, around 100mb.
p.s. I use a Sony Bluetooth headset to listen
Do anyone have the same issue ? and how to solve it?

Is the playback stopped because of the fact the app is killed or because the bluetooth connection was dropped?
I am using Galaxy Nexus with the 4.0.4 official rom

I can't remember the name of the app, but there is a program that allows 2 mobile devices (tablets and/or smartphones) to connect this way. The app for the host device is a paid app but each addon device utilizes a free controller app. In this instance, your HTC would use the paid host app to be used with a stereo, TV, computer, etc and your s3 (and any other phones/tablets) would use the free remote control app. I'll see if I can find it again
