[ROM] (development stopped) LAST RDANNAR ROM based on miui but theme arc launcher

THE MIUI DIET​
Modded Defy MIUI 1.8.5 gingerbread rom

MIUI that you can install with 2nd init recovery.
Thanks to cm7 team, MIUI team, and defy devolopers, jorgon for his work as he made porting easy for me, rubberchiken for wifi barnacle fix, and all other bravo and defy MEMBERS on xda that I may have used files for reference, used, or modified.
All working except for camera and camcorder. I REPEAT, CAMERA AND CAMCORDER NOT WORKING.
I made update zip using different edify script binary and left out devtree so that everyone can work with cm7 and should be able to flash using any recovery.
Modified defy scripts and rom to match bravo.
Made some small Build prop tweaks.
Includes
Golauncher and MIUI launcher
Cwm recovery (thanks defy developers)
Has new Motorola logo and boot animation
data tweaks
ui tweak from cm7
removed unused apps
torch
Molino
couple of others that I forget
INSTRUCTIONS​
DO NOT LEAVE RECOVERY MENU UNTIL YOU ARE COMPLETELY DONE WITH INSTALL
download and place on sdcard
reboot into recovery menu
format data in recovery
wipe Dalvik in advanced menu of recovery
wipe Cache in recovery
choose install zip and click to install ROM
reboot and give it some time for first boot
IF ANY PROBLEMS with getting bootloader error then use the SBF called rdannarFIX in downloads and install like regular SBF
I use 2nd init for defy in the market.

Never tried MIUI. I'll try it now, then. Been lovin' CM7 on my Atrix, and before my Atrix had it been lovin' on the Bravo.
Time to see what all the hype is about, I guess.

Nice Btw, I really like it. It's really different, and I really don't mind the iPhone elements that are added, looks kind of nice. And woah, unlimited lockscreens...
Also thanks for all of your work. You're like the only pro dev on this phone right now. Bandroidx was pro as well, but he kinda left. Anyways please keep it up, you're pretty much the only one holding everyone with this phone up, and you're doing a great job.

He's not so much a pro as he is willing to do the research and is quickly becoming a pro. All we needed as a community was someone like him... willing to dedicate some time in doing the work I just wish I knew where to look myself. Keep up the good work!

Nice, can't wait. Maybe this will fix the issue I'm getting, data connection randomly stops working and you have to restart the phone?

I am having huge upload errors with the file... if you want miui just download it from the defy section of miui main site (not miui us) then download defy English pack. Copy system files from English pack and pit them on miui zip. Then copy over my entire Meta folder... delete boot devtree logo... use sbf fix in first post if you have bootloader error. Then you don't have to wait for my update anymore.. I already did the harder stuff with editing updater zip and making fixed sbf.. if anyone makes one and wants to put up download link.. I will add to first post

Ok so I just installed the rom and it works great only problem is the notification bar wont work, anybody else having that problem??

Where is your "Meta" folder? Where are the files that hold the order of the capacitive buttons? Where are the files that will make it to where the Defy MIUI will work with the Bravo MIUI?

is there a way, on miui, to turn off icon labels on homescreens? they're kind of obnoxious and i'd love to get rid of them!

Easiest way is download miui for defy.. wipe data cache
Update in recovery.. then you will get bootloader error...
Now flash my rdannarfix.sbf with rsdlite in first post and it will fix the
Bootloader error. The sbf flashes are kernel and devtree and some other core files to get it to work. I used the sbf splitter and took out some files then repackaged it.
If you run into problems just post them and i will help you.
My plan is to let people know how to do it so someone can take over the rom development. I only have this phone until October then I'm getting an atrix. So i plan on porting as many roms as i can to help out bravo community. Anyone can use my roms to build there own and post them. Just give the proper credits to the people i ported from
Reboot and miui will boot up.
You will have service but not 3g. You need to replace files in system/etc/motorola/bvpn
Jorgon posted the signal fix files in his thread.
Then you are done.

This theme suitable for any stock or CM FW version
(but not for custom ROM`s based on CM).​
Installation:
Make backup first!!!!
Use Stock Recovery or any version of CWM;
1. You do not need to wipe anything before installing, but it is mandatory to connect the phone to an external power source.
2. Boot in to the Recovery (or CWM) and run the update.
The update will run from 20 minutes (for CM) to 40 minutes (for stock FW). Consumed a lot of energy. This is a fee for versatility.
Info: On the screens you can see that the battery with interest only 5%, so it is better not install this to custom batterry with 1% interest.
This update amends the existing resources, rather than replace them. That is why the installation takes a long time and there is a large expenditure of energy. But the beauty of versatility and security is worth it.

This is similar to Go Launcher's Future World Theme. I love it.

the wallpaper's not there, but the theme looks fantastic.

So i can't use it to CyanogenMod 7.2 cooper KANG RC0 Android 2.3.7 by vo-1? I think all of CM mod to SGA are custom, right?

This theme is not suitable for custom CM-based ROM with modified graphic resources only. You can use it with CM by vo-1.

Wallpapers are attached to the first floor.

I have found bug, i think. On the main screen, when i clicked menu touch button it apear menu (manage apps, settings, edit screens etc) but without text . I can see them when i touch them for ~1 sec.
It's worse than i thought. Every app menu have no visible text :/ Only if i hold on position. What have i do now?
edit: and one more: please look at wifi widget. It's turned on but grey. Rest are blue but off. It shouldn't be the case inversely? And what about rest of widgets? Light control, data mobile etc? Will they convert to "blue style"?

wi-fi icon on your screenshot is blue. At the top bar.

You don't understand me In any theme icon turn from grey to color(any color, blue or green) when particular options is enabled. In this theme is inversely. That's all. I know that the picking

First make cwm backup, then you can try anything you want;-)

Just report : Work perfect on KPD stock rom.

My report: fully funtional in stock rom XXKPP

I Recommend using a different launcher like Holo Launcher
Flash using CWM made by willing magic for gingerbread bootloader
if apps are force closing wipe cache and data after flashing.
I have taken things from many roms and developers. None of these are my property. I just combined them to give a stable rom.

What to do after flashing ?
1.To enable themes create a folder named theme in /data/system using any root explorer( very important for themes to work)
2.use exdialer instead of stock dialer (exdialer already in rom )
3.to use alternate launcher open milocker app and go to settings and go to lock home key option and do as mentioned in it.
4.for more themes add .mtz files to MIUI/theme in sdcard
5.Add at least one contact else your messaging app will forceclose

Another good port for ajay. I have brick my phone so i cannot test this.Maybe by day or two i will go to samsung center to ask for repair. can you port cm9 of galaxy mini to our device.

Pardon my ignorance, but what is MIUI exactly ? Another custom build of Android, just like Cyagenmod is ? What are its fundamental differences compared to Cyanogemond ?
edit : wikipedia's description provided me with part of the answer, but on what basis should i choose your cyanogenmod our our miui ports ?

Thank you. For my needs, stability is more important than the UI. According to the description of both of your ROMs, the Cyanogemnod port seems to have less bugs. Can you confirm that ?

Flashing:
1.Flash a Gingerbread rom (not if you already had)
2.go in to recovery (phone power +t)
3.Format data/cache (delete all user data)
4.Flash Miui (or other Rom) (install zip from SD)
5.Reboot

Depends, if you like modifying your rom then go for deodexed otherwise go for odexed
or you can search "the difference between deodexed and odexed" in google for better understanding (there i give you the keyword)

deodexed rom will take more space from the internal memory
since our phone have less internal memory its better to use odexed rom and also odexed will be faster
since our system memory is also less it was hard to odex it. that was why i uploaded deodexed rom.
our device is very poor

Yes, you can overclock this rom upto 806 mhz, bt I recomanded you to overclck 729 mhz, more than 729mhz sometime it rendomly reboot...
Also use No frills CPU Control from playstore for overclocking...

I say overclock it for about 15-20% which I think is the safest for such low frequency device, anything above it as stated will cause instability.

Some big plus points or Observation, from these highly-compressed and lite ROM's is =
1. Due to less RAM consumption, phone tends to be more responsive, smooth and faster !
2. Overall performance increases.
3. If you are a benchmark believer, then AnTuTu scores were also slightly higher compared to the original ROM's
4. These lite ROM's along with any script like Adrenaline Engine, can boost your performance slightly higher.
5. These ROM's can be used as a daily driver, 100% !
6. While in CM7 there is no bootanimation, the screen will be blank, so don't worry you did not brick your phone :fingers-crossed:

INSTALLATION
before install mine rom if u have installed ics or jb or froyo than u face playstore problem.[thanks to mrvan2851 for informing this prob and thanks to saif husain for testing]
So,
Highly recommended before install the rom
1st install cm7 official nighty and g-apps and than flash mine rom
[main advantage not have to install g-apps after the flashing mine rom and not playsore problem ]
Now this steps...,
1. Wipe data
2. Wipe cache
3. Wipe dalvik cache
4. Install zip from sd-card
5. Wait till it flashes
6. Again wipe data [yeah AGAIN ]
7. Again wipe cache
8. Again wipe dalvik cache
9. Hit reboot and enjoy..!!!

-keyboard is may forceclose than install this wp7 keyboard than click here
OR u can install smart keyboard from here
-another u have to tell me

yeah...i haven't tried that but i do this

[don't come from ics or jb it gavge error to one user which gave me msg]

She only needs whatsapp, sms and be able to make phonecalls.

Preamble
After a long time using MIUI, I decide to go back to a fast and non-bloated ROM. CM9 seems a good option.
However I didn't like some of it's options and built-in apps. That's why I created Slim Series for marvel and marvelc.

Recommended gapps? I installed a package and getting fc's on play store. Is SU working? Never used that file manager, can't browse root (or don't know how). int2ext+ works for me.

Ehm nope? Probably that it's just stupid to release ROMs with small changes. I believe this one will be different. Not too many mods but only the things I want. If you don't like it, good for you. Beware that this ROM is not finished yet. And it already exists for over a month, but I think XDA is more popular then our own team website, so posting here seems logical. (BTW: I hate large quotes)

Working USB tethering! Now I can upgrade from stock.

i don't know if it is a bug or it's my radio.
i cannot receive incoming calls.
when i tried calling my wfs, i can hear from the calling phone that it's ringing but only ones and then right after it becomes busy.
has anyone experienced this?

Do I need to flash ICS Gapps ? Or is it included ?

Our server is down currently. I've contacted the other team members and it should come online again in the following days. In the meantime we are working on an automatic script which creates a mirror to our goo hosting. Just have some patience.
There is a SlimSandwich ROM on our goo mirror, but it isn't the latest version. You can always try that one if you're in a hurry.

Mehh , I guess I'm gonna test the AOKP first then install this rom after the server is back online

Been using it for a few days.......Really fast and smooth,especially with Link2SD..
And the WP7 multitasking looks great with Launcher 8

On second thought...... only problem: it has a little bit laggy video playback. I mean, it uses HW decoding, ok, but it has very small lags while playing..
