Agreed. Gimmick. In fact when I tried it, it worked horribly in different light. The more I tried to get it to learn by letting it analyze my face in different light, the worse it seemed to get. Found myself almost always resorting to my pin, and actually being surprised when it did unlock for me based on my face.

So lately I've been trying a lot of ROMs. Sense 2.1, 3.0, and 2.1/3.0, yet I get the same issue no matter what I can't get into the HTC hub I signed up when I first rooted and it let me.. its not important that it works, just annoying that it doesn't.
In short, anybody know what's up with HTC hub?

Ditto from me bud. It works for some people and dosn't for others. Its just one of those things that was never ment for our phone but thanks to the hard work of all our devs and everyone else it now is. Things will be buggy. We just gotta expect that for now. And keep hope alive that our upcoming OTA will bring a lot of good fixes.

Yea I love the red chinese skin you can get from there. Its pretty cool.
I always sign into it but have yet to find anything personally appealing in it. Still waiting for the day when something pops up tho.

Have you tried the Synergy ROM? That's what I'm using and it seems to work. Could you maybe make a list of the ROMs you have tried?

I've never had any problems with my HTC hub on any sense rom. Maybe recreating the account is your best bet.
CM7 nightly
Couldn't get mine to work with Shift but my same account works perfectly with Hybrid.

Ok, so coming from a Blackberry this is very frustrating. Is there any way at all to take a screen shot without rooting and without connection to a computer? I need to be able to do this and i don't always have access to a computer and i don't want to root. This was so simple on my Blackberry. Thanks

The reason you can't take screen shots is, due to the openness of the Android market, Google didn't want spam apps to have the ability to take screen shots of your bank account, etc.

Of the many features Samsung included in the Galaxy S3, what is your favorite (or one of them) and why? Even if it isn't exclusive to the phone, I'm curious to know.
Personally, and I didn't think this would be one of them when I heard about it, I LOVE Smart Stay. I usually use my phone a lot to browse and read forums and other internet documents. My old phone was constantly turning off the screen while I read a long post. My Galaxy S3 never turns it off. One of the best features of the phone imo. It's all the little things that work together to make this phone so great.
So what is your favorite feature of the phone?

When watching a video, on the bottom right there's a button to enable picture in picture
I also love Smart Stay, it just makes reading easier than having to constantly be touching the screen.
Personally, I love all the ICS and JB leaks I get to play with!!! Never seen a phone with so many so fast!

I would have to agree with the Smart Stay, it works great. Swipe capture and picture in picture are also on my list. I wish u could watch youtube videos with it though like u can do with the app Super video.

There's an app called super video floating that does the same thing as the pop up player. Works on non gs3 as well
Smart stay for sure I love the feature when reading books or en gadget really helpful, I like direct call but I hate the stock messaging app :/

Screen size for me. 4.8 is my new "sweet spot".
Not sure if this could be done with any other device but I noticed I could zoom In and out of web pages by just touching the edge of the screen up and down.

It drives me insane when I'm using the device one-handed and trigger this "feature" when I scroll near the edge of the screen...

There seems to be no option. The browser itself is one of the best stock browsers I've ever used. But I want to punch sammy in the throat at times for not allowing that to be turned off.

I agree I would also like it to be disabled. The other big annoyance in the stock browser is the double tap to zoom doesn't work (over zooms every time - naturally you have to be in desktop view to see this). There is a setting to alter it but it doesn't help. Firefox works correctly but I end up using the stock browser most of the time and just pinching.
I no longer have this problem. I was stock AT&T, then rooted, then running International ROM with a stock browser that doesn't have the edge zooming. Yes, it did annoy me when I had it.
Wow! You're right! I also changed to a different rom a while back but kind of forgot about the problem. I thought I was being more careful I guess. No! I forgot only because the problem was gone and didn't notice! Yet another reason to get off stock! Great info, big :Thumbup:
