I'm on AOKP but I noticed on CM10 too, why is there no CRT off animation default when I turn the screen off? There's not even an option to enable it and on my previous phone it was always there built in. The mod was even there on Blazer Rom but not AOSP roms?

I'm on the 2.3.3 leak, and we don't have the lock animation that gingerbread has. However AOSP can get it. Why can't we have a flashable one for Sense?

Its their. Set your windows animation to normal.

I have my animations to show all. I get the screen slide effect when I press the back button, but no tv animation when I lock

I only briefly had the stock gingerbread leak, but all of the "GingerSense" roms that I have used have had the CRT shut off/turn on animation
Like the previous person said, the TV screen on/off feature is present in the gingersense roms. I've run Optimized Gingersense as well as Gingersense Remix betas since day one of the leak and each iteration has that lockscreen on/off feature.

No, the OP is right, it's absent in the stock leak with sense 1.0.
Not surprising, I don't think its included in the official updates. Tried the gingerbread leak on my Droid 2 when I had it and had to flash a different zip to get the animation. Although it was just screen off, I noticed on the kingdom port at least its screen off and on. I think they should just merge it into all 2.3 builds.

well..its has to be added in by the creator of the rom....its fairly simple even though i can't find that darn surfaceflinger.cpp file in services.jar
could anyone point e in the right direction in getting CRT animations to work on the Stock Rom? i dont want to flash a custom Rom
One option would be to flash the stock Deoxed Rom by teshxx and apply the lite-ning blue theme, it has the CRT off animation.

I also posted a hint of honeycomb theme a while back that has crt off and custom animations, battery icon, and various other customizations. You should check it out

You need a De-oxeded ROM to have the CRT-Off Animation.
There is a stock rom that was De-oxeded and you could ask buddy323 if he could make a flashable zip for CRT

Hello, I've tried search after search and I can't find a way to disable that animation of custom ROMs that don't have the CRT animation toggle. Is it something to do with a build prop value?
Thanks in advance.

Change window animation under development.

If you install the Xposed Framework, there may be a way using that to turn off the CRT animation. Really though, it depends on the ROM, as I know that the PACman ROM, which is based on CM, AOKP and PA, has the option to turn it off. I think it's from the CM10.1 nightlies.

Changing the window animations, even turning them off entirely, won't get rid of the CRT animation.

Yeah, window animations didn't do anything, but I'll try Xposed! Thanks!
Is there anyway to enable CRT animations in galaxy grand with stock ROM?

I think you mean the CRT Screen off animation.
I used this when i was on Stock ROM.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.katecca.screenofflock
If you are using apex/nova launcher, there are options to activate this app using gestures so you dont need to tap the icon every time u want to switch off your screen.
Now i am on CM10.1 and it has this feature built in.
how i can get it on stock rom I9082XXAMC7
Use the above linked app...
