Whenever I open the play store app, Im unable to see even one image and when I select an app for its description it shows screenshot loading failed. What could be a possible reason for this?

All of a sudden today, anytime I log into the Market and then click an actual app, it crashes. Is this a system wide Android Market down thing today ?

Thanks tried that, logged back in. Same thing. Force close soon as I click an app.
This is only time I have ever had an issue with the Market. Was working normal just yesterday.

Try clearing data from Market and Google Services Framework, reboot, then sign back in...

Tried that. Rebooted now can't get into Market at all. Says server error retry. Kept retrying and nothing.

Hm, just noticed that I have the same issue as the op; any clue anyone..? Cleared the data on Google Services Framework and can't log in to the market either.
P.S. Apps install just fine from the web market to the phone.
Need to push this up; I've now flashed a new rom after full wipes and it's still there.

edit:
if clearing cache
setting another zone with MarketEnabler
and resetting language to US doesn't work - reinstall gapps.
OK so, ever since I upgraded to CM9 months ago, I have found that certain apps are not available to me from the play store. For example, when I type in Youtube, it doesn't even show up as a option to download. When I go to the play store on my desktop, it either says that the app is not compatible with my device, or my device is greyed out in the drop down menu. This is true for several other apps that I have tried downloading. I tried clearing the play store data, but I'm still limited in the apps that show up upon searching. I was able to find a youtube apk elsewhere, but am wondering what the fix is for this cause there are other apps that I want...like zen bound. I just upgraded to alpha 6...same problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have put up with this issue for long enough.
I haven't had that issue and am on cm9 and was also on aokp. Which cm9 did you download and from where?

CM9 was from here. It may have nothing to do with CM9, I just can't figure out why so many apps either don't show up at all upon search (e.g., zen bound 2), or they show up in the store, but say that they are not compatible with my device. I though it might be a screen density thing, but when I upgraded to alpha 6, the screen density went back to 240 and the play store is still missing apps like youtube.
Try clearing all data for the play store and then reflashing gapps...?

That did it! Thanks button has been pushed.
Clearing play store data then re flashing gapps did the trick (i.e., zen bound 2 and youtube apps were showing up in play store). However, I woke up this morning and the play store is doing the same thing as before (missing certain apps). For example, I type in "zen bound 2" and get a white screen with the "No results found". I tried the same technique again (as suggested by shultz) and this time it doesn't work. So I'm back to the same problem. Any ideas on what the culprit is here? should I be posting this in the CM9 thread?

yes, I live at 190, but went back to 240 just in case that was the problem (is there a better setting i can try?). I let rom toolbox reset my phone after and i still couldn't get zen bound 2. By the way the above trick (clearing play store data and flashing gapps) briefly worked and i was able to download zen bound 2, but by the time the game was finished downloading, the play store stopped working correctly again....and so I have zen bound 2 purchased, but it won't let me install it cause it says my device is not compatible. This is aggravating.
I want to keep google talk and not update (or as i see it downgrade) to the hangouts app. Does anyone know of a way to prevent it from appearing in the play store "my apps" list? I've tried using titanium backup to detach/remove from market with no success. I know I can just deal with seeing it in that list but figured i'd ask.
edit: using "detach from market" in titanium does work, but only until i reboot the phone. upon reboot it will show up again and i can go and detach again. so getting closer to a perfect solution; i feel like that may be as good as it gets. any other ideas appreciated though!
Uninstall your present GTalk and install GTalk from an external source then make it a system app if you want. This may stop showing you updates as you haven't downloaded GTalk from the Play Store.

U can find a Gtalk on mobilism and then convert it to a system app as Sherlock said above. I've had system apps still connect to play store before also, but that's ur best bet.

When I open the play store, no apps seem to show. When I search for an app, nothing comes up
When I choose from a category, nothing shows up
I can't update my apps or download any new ones.
I'm running jellyverse v3. I've had jv for a while and this problem occurred like a week ago.
I tried reinstalling and clearing the cache.

Go to you're app manager and clear the data / cache for the play store and playstore services... If that does not work...uninstall the UPDATES for the play store in app manager( don't uninstall the play store app ), clear data / cache on play store services again. Then launch the play store it will come up and if not instantly/soon after..will ask to update or update itself..Should be good to go... Let me know...
Thanks! The cache clear for GP services seemed to fix the problem.

Gapps failure is the best way I can describe my problem. About a week ago my nexus 7 decided to reboot itself while I was in the middle of some gaming (asphalt 8 I think). I took it as just you know the system needed it and said whatever.
The next day some apps start having problems. Specifically Google play apps. Then all of a sudden my nexus reboots and starts boot looping on the 4 colored balls part of the boot animation and then keeps going Google then balls. Back and forth.
I used nexus toolkit (v1.8.0 I think) to reboot the device in adb then ended up reflashing stock because the problems persisted.
Now the device is not bootlooping but every few mins some app force closes or pops up saying jot responding. Or even 7-10 different popups...
Idk what to do now. Please help?
NOTE:
This nexus 7 was purchased around Christmas time at my local best buy. It has been unlocked and rooted. Only things I ever did was use titanium backup to restore some game data from my phone. Never did anything more than that! And I guessed maybe a virus (if there is any such thing on android) did this but kaspersky reports no malware of any kind.
Apps and processes that fail:
Google play
Play music
Play books
Play games
Play magazine
Google+
Gmail
Google currents
Play movies
Google search
Google keyboard
Google text to speech
I don't remember the processes that crash so when they do I will update you on what they are. Please help!

What I would recommend that you do is use the nexus root toolkit to install twrp recovery manager then boot into recovery manager and try clearing cache and everything but dont clear data and see if that helps.
If after you try that the problem still persists then boot into recovery manager and wipe everything....cache, Dalvik, and data.
By wiping data you will have removed your apps but they can easily be reinstalled with google play. You can use titanium backup to restore game data.
Oh and give this a try first...create a new gmail account and add that account under settings and see if that fixes anything. If under the new account you dont see any problems try switching back to your original account and see if the problems go away.
Hope it helps...

Thanks droidshadow for your response. Seeing how no one else commented this really must be an issue with my device. Not widely known. I attempted your solutions to no avail so I will be sending it to Asus. Hopefully they will give me a nice unit back that has no problems.

You did get TWRP on it? You could go all out with a custom ROM. In any case this looks like a simple enough issue to fix. Go to settings > apps > scroll right to all > now scroll down to Google Play Services, click on it and then clear cache. Now go down to Google Play and clear data, clear cache and then force stop. Ignore any misbehaving warning you may see. Now go open Google Play and re-register if asked. Let me know of if this helps.
What's going on should not require you to send it in. Worst case you do a complete factory reset with fastboot and not some tool.

Thank you for your tips. I actually did clear cashe and data on the services and even on other apps that randomly shut off. It temporarily fixed the issue for about an hour then all issues came back.
I have reset with nexus toolkit, I have factory reset while on the tablet. And I have also erased everything in the stock recovery.
It sounds like a simple issue but its not being resolved! I thought about just putting on cm11 or something but not sure if that would fix it considering these problems persist. Even with a different gmail account on it.
