Quality 3000 mah batteries? (Need something under 4000) - Galaxy S III Accessories

Has anyone found any 3000mah or so batteries? Quality ones I mean. I wouldn't mind something larger than the 2100 but anything over 4000 just ruins the look of this phone. I don't even require NFC. Just something that gives close to the stated capacity. If Mugen, Seidio, Anker, or Hyperion made something in this range I'd jump on it immediately.
You see, I like modding OB Defender cases to work with extended batteries and I just don't see any way a 4000+ battery will work with the OB Defender for our phones.

Hmmm...not sure. Doesn't list if it's 3.7 or 3.8
Also found a Monaco 3000 mah battery which I've seen good reviews for on other phones. May try the Monaco.

I have the OEM Samsung 3000mah battery for the GS3, and find it to be reliable and holds charges well.

Anker 2050 mAh Battery

For those of you interested, there is a 2050 mAh battery made by anker on amazon which is the same size as the stock vzw i515 1850 mah battery - no extended door needed! It works as advertised, though it does not feature the nfc antenna.
Any one found something like this for GSM?

Good deal. I'm pretty sure that battery doesn't have the NFC antenna on it though. Their 3000 mAh battery specifies that it has NFC in the title whereas this one doesn't and it doesn't have any verbiage on the battery about NFC.
This looks like an awesome deal though. You get two of those same 2050 mAh batteries with a travel charger so you can charge both at the same time. Pretty sure you could use your phone literally all day with all that (including the battery you already have), hah. I just noticed that in one of the reviews for this, that the reviewer says there's no NFC on the batteries. But I'm sure most people don't care much for that (as I don't).

Even if the batter is comes with only performs as a stock battery, the charger looks to be worth it due to all the options alone. Pretty cool find, if I was a traveler I'd surely want something like this.

How does the battery life compare from the Ankers to the stock battery?
Anker has a good track record of having reliable batteries.
does it fit the I9250 or just I515?
Can anyone comment on battery life on these?

Best stock size battery

Exactly as the title suggests I'm looking for everyone's opinion on the best stock size battery for the Note. I've been using the Mugen battery but at times the bulk seems too much and I'm interested in trying something stock size that gets me at least a little better than stock battery performance.
Thoughts, opinions, experiences?

it is too expensive? any cheap battery for extend battery life of galaxy Note
I use the "golden battery", the sticker on it says 3250 mAh.. and that power stays at the sticker. It is roughly as good or just a tiny bit better than stock battery.
I get 3 hours 10 minutes maybe 20 minutes less or more each day of screen time on weekdays with stock battery. Let's use this as a standard for me.
With gold battery I get 3 hours and 40 minutes with a variation of 30 minutes more or less.
So it doesn't last 30% more as the sticker suggests.. but meh it lasts as much or a little bit more so I am not bothered with a 15 doller battery I can carry in my wallet as a backup

Also, it seems to handle charge/discharge better, it doesn't get as hot as stock under load.

I was thinking about it, and it seems plausible that the best stock sized battery for this phone at this moment would be a 2700mah one. If you look at it, the Mugen 5400mah extended battery is just 2, 2700mah batteries linked together.
Until a revolution in batteries is made, I don't think we'll get a stock sized one with a better mileage .
different capacity with stock size battery
It's mean the concentration become higher...
just wondering.
you know the anker charger that comes with the bundle if you buy 2 anker 2700 batteries?
does it charge the stock battery as well?
im assuming it does cuz the batteries are the same size (right?)
just wanting to make sure.

I've tried aftermarket batteries of that small of difference, I personally believe samsung makes their stock batteries of higher quality than the 10$ dollar ankers or the likes therof. Therefore, I think its a wash as far as daily phone hours of usage. But I'm pretty confident the cheap aftermarkets won't last as long in the long run. I think the best option is just get a replacement battery, have it charging all day, use your phone to your hearts content, no extra bulk. Then at around 7 or 8 when its getting low if you had a big usage day, pop out the battery, put in the new one. We should be grateful as g3 users that we have this option eh.

Has anyone tried the 3200mah extended slim battery by sporting persistance? If so how does it perform?
I been using it for about a week. I think it's the perfect size to get a mid level user through the day. I still have to charge it at the end of the day, but on days that I don't really use my phone I think that it would make it a day and a half(I always charge my phone at night so I'm not sure).
Just to let you know ,I always have GPS on, when outside I usuall have my screen at full brightness, and I am currently using a Live wallpaper.
I'm am running Juice Defender for when the screen is off.
I do more surfing, checking emails, reading news and forum posts, than I do calling and texting. I also play some games from time to time.
I'm happy with the battery's performance so far. I only thing I worry about is the longevity of keeping charge over time. I've never heard of the brand before and it seems to be the only battery of this capacity while keeping the stock dimensions.

Does your NFC still work with the sporting battery?
I don't use NFC anymore, but I did test it, and it does work. The only reason I got the NFC version is because it had a larger mah than the non-NFC model.

Honestly I doubt a random ebay battery is really 3200 mAh. Especially at stock size. That being said, it seems to be at least stock capacity, has working NFC, and hopefully at least decent quality control (unlike those Samsung "OEM" batteries on Amazon which are seriously hit or miss)

I'm guessing about 3 hours extra, depending on my usage. Not a lot, but enough so that I can make it through the day.

Is almost always a miss, we havn't seen advancements in batteries (lithium ion) in years so naturally size directly affect capacity.
That being said you can't have a larger capacity battery that is the same sized as OEM. And because these are most likely from unnamed brands, it's probably even worse than stock.

Extended battery with factory footprint?

Anyone know of a reputable extended battery that fits with the standard battery door? I don't need much more...maybe 4000mah or so would get it to go all day with how I use it. 6400 and 9000ish are way more than I need and I'm not interested in doubling (at least) the thickness of the phone. Saw one on some chinese website at 3500mah, but pretty sure I don't trust it. I have the zerolemon replacements and I swap out as I go, but I don't like carrying them with me. I like to travel light. Thanks.
Im curious to know this too.
Ive had bad experiences with buying extended, but similar to stock size batteries. They tend to actually be lower capacity than stock... cheap pieces of crap with false labels. (Ex: my old phone's battery was 1650mAh. I bought three different 2000mAh batteries over the phone's lifetime. One was actually 800mAh, one was 1000mAh, and one was something around 900mAh.)

3 ways.
First, there was the fact that my phone went from 8hrs of typical usage to only 4hrs with same usage patterns and ROM.
EDIT: I had a Hyperion battery and it actually only gave me 3hrs!!!!! I also had a Bluegate Kobe and it only gave me 4. The third battery was an EVO and it gave me about 6, but it wasn't as good as stock.
A second way was that I used an app to measure my mAh (don't have the app name right now. Not installed now and can't find it, but it's a popular one).
EDIT: The app was Battery Monitor Widget. I used the stock battery first to get a base mAh based on my actual usage over a week. Then used the 3rd party batteries and did the same. The 3rd party batteries came out to be FAR less mAh than stock.
The third way only applies to one of the batteries (EDIT: The Hyperion I had). I removed the label and printed on the actual battery under the label was the true mAh, which was half of what the label said. (The sticker said 2200mAh, but the battery said 1100mAh)
Plus all the labels were cheap stickers. The batteries looked more legit online than they dI'd in person. In person, they look homemade and felt lighter than the stock battery. (MUCH lighter).
EDIT: To be clear, all of this was with my old phone, a Galaxy S2.
Also, that Battery Monitor Widget app didn't seem to work with the OGP, which is why I don't have it installed still.

That's one tip-off that there's something wrong here.
The other biggie is that they say the battery is FCC Approved. Which sounds real important, except, the FCC doesn't "approve" batteries in any way I've ever heard of.
The battery business is infamous for outright fakes, counterfeits, and junk. It isn't easy to get real prime-quality products at good prices. And the stuff from unknown vendors? Really, how many reports of battery fires and explosions does it take to make anyone worry about leaving a no-name battery or a no-name-source battery charging while you sleep?
I'd rather carry a hot-shot (USB battery) charger around "just in case".
