How to go back to stock/fix a bricked epic
You'll probably want to get DI18 image instead of DG27 and the follow the instructions in that thread.
Why do you want to go back to stock rom?
the best way to go back to stock is to download odin and here the tar file http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=794138
You probably also want the 512 .pit considering that is basically the formatting map for the rom, the kernal, and the modem.
i rooted my phone and installed CWM recovery. Now lets say i want to go back to Stock recovery. and stock Firmware (Rom) how would i go on about this ? just flash it via ODIN using the PDA option or ?
Thanks in advanced
Yes just download a complete stock rom from sam-mobile and flash it

You can use the TAR file to flash a stock ROM on your phone using ODIN on your PC, with your phone in Download mode. For example, mrRobinson's pre-rooted stock ROMs are to be flashed using ODIN.
(But yes, if you flash a mrRobinson's stock ROM using ODIN [or an original stock ROM], it will overwrite your custom recovery with the stock one, so you would have to reinstall a custom recovery once the rooted stock ROM is flashed.)
Hello
Trying to use Odin to go from Jedi x20 to a stock prerooted wind mobile 4.1.2 rom.
This is what I had in mind.
Download tar file and place in the Odin folder.
Go into twrp and do a full wipe. Do I also need to format internal storage?
Start up Odin. Now what needs to be checked off i can never seem to remember?
See this image is that correct? https://dl.dropbox.com/u/69671105/Odin.jpg
Go into download mode and let odin do its thing.
All done.
Am i missing anything? Help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
I am Not Responsible to damage to your device.
First Make Sure You are Running Android 4.1.2 Stock GB27 (This Was Only Tested With This Version) This is For the SPH-D710 as tested
1. Download a app that roots your device. Just Look up Android Jelly Bean Root App on Google.
2. Next Download Mobile ODIN From Chainfire. Please get the Pro version and Install
3. Next Go to Rwilcos Android Repository find your device.
4. Download the GB27 Version of the Stock ROM. Mobile Odin File
5. Next on The Repository find AGATs Custom Recovery.
6. Extract the GB27 File with ES File Explorer or any app capable of doing so.
7. Go To Mobile Odin Install Th GB27 Rom with the Stock recovery switched with AGAT.
8. You Can Now Flash. It will go into a special recovery Mode.
9. You can now flash a Android 4.2 Rom
10. Next you can flash a 4.3 Rom if you want one or once on 4.3 you can flash a 4.4 Rom once the 4.3 Rom is installed.
11. You should have no Yellow Triangle.
(Note)
This process only used the computer to install Stock 4.1.2 GB27 with Samsung kies
I've even Checked with Triangle Away It shows that the Flash Counter Says Zero, Even though I know I flashed stuff at least 50 Times.
If You want to go back to stock Rom. Just Flash The Samsung Rom without AGAT Recovey and replace it with the stock Samsung one.
