Including the three update, should maybe tell them.
This thread is also nullified because we (o2 users) all got a notification on our phones...

The 3 thread was a thread about not getting the 1.29 OTA and it expanded to include the 4.0.4 OTA...so it can be forgiven

Well I as an o2 user didn't.... Since I'm not running stock.... But would still like the firmware zip from that update.
If anyone has a direct link,
Link me.

True, but a user such as yourself with enough know-how to install a custom ROM would also have enough know-how to read the thread that's already been created about this.

Yes, my big sis. Infact she's the one who root my one x.
Teach her the meaning of private property... No, seriously just flash the boot.img that belongs to the Rom that's on your phone.
I don't know why, but I laughed really hard on this
Hboot version? And that's the first girl I've ever heard of to root a phone herself

With you in charge it sounds like it's beyond help. Try reading a guide from the developer section.
Sorry, noob here... not sure if I'm posting in the right place. Trying to figure out how to install pa Rom on my htc one v, and which version to use. I'd rather a stable older version, than a beta. Also, I was going to use 4.1.2, but then I saw 3.1?
Also, I've read different installation instructions/tutorials, and one mentioned flashing a kernel, one didn't mention a kernel at all-
And, one said that their instructions would only work on htc one v international Tegra 3- I think I have Qualcomm S4...
does that mean I can't use a pa rom? Or do I need to find a pa rom compatible with S4? And how do I verify which version I have?
If so, how or where do I find it?
Please help!
Thanks!

Sounds like you need Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86)
It is a requirement for the RUU to run.

It's been a minute since I've flashed an RUU, but I believe there's a thread around here that gives you steps to convert to a Dev Edition M8. Give me a few minutes and I'll try to find it.
---------- Post added at 22:01 ---------- Previous post was at 22:00 ----------
Do you have a GSM or CDMA M8? And is there a reason you want Dev Edition specifically?
---------- Post added at 22:09 ---------- Previous post was at 22:01 ----------
Ok, these aren't Dev Edition, but I used the 5.1 a while back and it worked great. If you use these, you'll be bone stock...stock recovery and all. Also, they will wipe all your data so make sure you back up and important files.
5.1 RUU. - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2708589
And this is Graffixnyc's webiste that has both 5.0.1 and 5.1 RUUs. - http://www.graffixnyc.com/m8.php
Install Adobe Air on your PC.
