Auto call recording function on Desire Z - which ROM ? - G2 and Desire Z Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, sorry of this topic, but you can help me a lot. Be sure, usualy I'm reading forums, using search function, but this time I need your help. I bought this phone (Desire Z, first Android phone for me) few days before, and it is hard to find the newest ROM for this phone with auto call recording capability (may be integrated function or other program). Audio must be from both sides and taken from hardware, not from microphone (this worked perfectly on my broken Touch HD with Auto Call Recorder program). So, can anyone suggest me which ROM to choose ? Must I look for Jealy Beans ROM's, or for some Virtuous ROM's(maybe it's the only choose with auto call recording capability) ? Thanks a lot for your help !

I was using CallRecorder from skvalex on Andromadus Mimicry. Unfortunately does not support JB.

I just noticed CallRecorder by skvalex is not working JB, as you pointed out. It was the best one!
Is there any other one that does work on JB ?!

Don't know. Didn't look for one yet.

You read the forums alot but you don't know that this is supposed to be asked in the Q and A section?

And on ICS this function is not supported, right ? It's sad, because I think this is the must have on my phone. Ok, will try MIUI Thanks !

we can flash with suitable kernel

Ok, now I see, that update Android phone ROM is not that simple like WM was (in WM you just need to find suitable ROM for your device and update using ROM update utility). Sorry for this, but can you tell me (post a link) which ROM with auto call recording function I must try to instal ? Please understand- I have two little childs now, and have no time to spend to try many ROM's, just need suggestion how to make my Desire Z auto record calls in simplyest way. Thanks !

Callrecorder from Skvalex did work perfectly on the ICS roms. Altough people say it doesn't work on JB, I haven't tested it yet.

But now I see, that these new adapted ROM's are not perfect (camcorder, browser, speed issues, etc). I prefer fully working ROM. Must I look for a old MIUI rom ? But which one ? Can someone post a link to ROM, that realy works with auto call recorder ? Thanks again.

Will Callrecorder from Skvalex work with this rom:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1349864
I'm jus looking for a good one ROM with acr capability.

Done !
So, I finaly have fully working phone (with few ICS issues). I decided to instal very popular Mimistry 1.5.0 ROM (before formatted all with 4ext). This ROM is fantastic ! And finaly I bought CallRecorder by skvalex- now call recording works just fine ! Thanks for all for your replays !

Flash issue on ICS and JB roms for bravo

Hello, I just wanted to gather your experiences on the matter.
I know that I'm not the only one suffering the good (Gray circle of death) when attempting to view some flash content for more than one second on an ICS or JB rom and I just wanted to know if a lucky person had already succeed on making it function properly.
There are couple of options I know of that I tried with no success such as importing a 10.3 version or using apktool but with no success so the question I have for you fellow xda members :
How about you, flash player and you 4.0+ ROM?

^ Pretty sure it says in every JB and ICS ROM, that flash isn't going to work. As for your answer, it freezes my Desire.
In fact adobe are not supporting flash player on any android version.after ICS. That doesn't mean someone won't get in working though

No it's actually never specified and also if you are talking about adobe flash support it works well on ICS not JB.

Exactly Well from my point of view ICS has not yet been fully developped at all on the bravo. It is usable as daily though but you can always feel something is missing lol.

I think CM9/AOSP Roms don't have Video Call Feature build in.
You can try 3rd party apps like tango, skype etc
but those app work with voip....
i talk about traditional videocalling

So if I understand correctly, there is no way to make videocall on Galaxy W with ICS, except by using 3rd party apps? And what is the best app to do so? Can I make a videocall with anyone in my phone book or just with people that are also using the same app as me?
thanks for answers

this is impossible because devs need video calling codes, not app.İf only app can solve video calling problem, i belive devs would port the app.

I do hoping CM9 or possible CM10 to have the native 3G video calling via sim.
But too bad it's seem that all CM9 rom doesn't support 3G video calling.
Maybe as refer to lacking of video call codes which, myself also wondering why don't they put it?
I'm not a developers and maybe it is hard to implement the code, but hopefully they do support in future.
As in many Samsung phone like S2,S3 with ICS,JB rom also do support 3G video call, hopefully it can be port/implement to our SGW CM9.

i found very strange that where all the desire jb roms on xda are unstable and camera and video playbck is not working, amazingly this taiwenese qiss rom there is no video flickering error and camera is working like a charm.its 99% stable too.i request to developers here plz if u can contact these guyz and find out the solution in xda roms also?????????
And also video recording is working at 25-30 fps.And this rom does not crash at all even then it is only a beta release
yup using it daily! and it is damn stable! everything works .. only thing missing is a2sd script support(only on ICS.. scripts working fine on JB version)

Problem is that they aren't releasing any source code. We can't do much without it. You're welcome to spam the f out of them
Giving it a try now, I think keep on bothering them to release source is the best thing to do, they have to at some point in accordance with opensource licenses

haven't tried daemon controller but i am using jelly bean version and the battery is pretty amazing! i can get more than 2days with light use and with moderate use(wifi all day and some gaming(temple run lol)), i am on 1d 20h 49min and it is still 21%!
On ICS, battery was much weaker (but was still decent)

[SOUNDMOD] Sony xLOUD Engine (FULLY WORKING)

[NO FURTHER DEVELOPMENT][SOUNDMOD] Sony xLOUD Engine (FULLY WORKING)
HELLO EVERYONE! I thought I might as well make this public
xLOUD is FULLY WORKING again on the One X!!!!!
Tested and First made for Renovate ROM
You guys try on other roms, I'm not sure if it works on other roms (it should work on most)
If you are not sure it will work on a specific rom, all I can say is "Try it yourself."
Download: http://d-h.st/y15
Enjoy
P.S This will be included in the next Renovate update, so no need to flash this when the next renovate rom update is released
For the first time ever, you are allowed to FREELY share this or add it to your rom/mod, give credits IF YOU WANT, I don't really care anymore
Oh and this activates by itself after bootup, just change the ringtone volume and it should appear to be louder, this mod ONLY effect Speakers and NOT Headphones... (And no, I can't make xLOUD work for headphones as well)
USE WITH CAUTION!!!
If you are scared you might break your speakers, don't even bother using this
I will NOT be responsible for breaking your speakers (If that's possible)
Currently not working for ARHD 18.x because of the modified files in the bin folder that blocks the xLOUD function (I think) (Like in Sense 4.1 ARHD, it had the same problem before with xLOUD)
Hehe
I'm first one to test it, will report shortly
Thanks m8
Mod is Back Again!!!!
Congrats Zero and cheerd mate
