Here's the MMS.apk from SGS that works on SGA. just minor aesthetics change. For me it is more formal and has brighter colors.
sghould work on any deodexed gingerbread version.
Press thanks if you like it.
Thanks. Will give this a try...
Edit: Its really good. I got what I wanted most : A bigger text box. Thanks. Themes are missing though. May I request for skins. Thanks a ton...

remove or rename the old mms.apk app. reboot.. then you'll see the new messaging app
thanks for the reply. but what permissions should i set? should is set it first then restart? do i need to wipe cache? because i did remove the mms.apk and placed the new mms.apk and restarted then i cant see any messaging app anywhere in the app drawer. i restarted three times and messaging app is nowhere to be found.
No need to wipe cache. Permissions -rw-r-r.

Title says it all. I was using a zip file on a prior jb ROM but since I've went to bamf the mod seems to break the navbar altogether.
It was nothing fancy, just an invisible dot on the left bottom corner of the navbar so I don't have to keep reaching to the power button....I know I couldn't be any more lazy than that!

Fine,which rom are U using?
Or,if U are using a rooted rom,you can install the RootExplorer.apk to copy SystemUI(system\app) to Ur sdcard, and attanch it here.
U know that, using a wrong SystemUI may cause Ur system damaged.

Same problem here
I've got the same problem.
After restarting the screen keeps blank. You have to make a Full-Wipe.
I think it's a bug of CM10. Maybe in one of the next versions it will be fixed.
Sorry for my bad English.

could be on ICS to let the touchwiz port work without losing the call feature
but it looks like a full wipe is needed as its not booting, the problem isn't the phone apk I think but just jellybean framework not able to handle density change on our gio's (yet)

It looks like it's a "Live wallpaper" and by even removing the default supplied live wallpapers, this one is not effected - it sticks.
I wish someone would make is customizable.
Any DEVs out there that wanna take this on?
i wish we could unlock the screen by waving over and then pressing anywhere on the screen
that feature was available on the note 2, saved me from pressing the home button

So has anyone at all tried removing the quick glance lwp and do an apk file PLEASE I been looking everywhere and found nothing I hope to hear from someone soon thanks.
SAME
i really want to customize this. i really want to get rid off the animation. the point of quick glance is also to preserve battery. since super amoled only lit up the pixels used. i prefer just the time and notifications light up. NO ANIMATION.

here is the APK modded glance view.apk. this is the modded version by me with all animations removed with just a simple black background. and if you want a different background. just open the .apk with 7zip or equivalent and go to /res/raw/background.png and replace it with your own imagine with identical resolution.
when you are done. go place it in /system/app
*make sure you backup your original glanceview.apk in /system/app
* restart phone right after overwriting the apk.
*phone might restart itself right after overwriting, this is normal, and it will ONLY do it once.
please only do this at your own risk.
