anybody else not liking the smilies on the ics roms? just wondering lol
Is anyone else being blocked from installing the new google play music app? I just updated to the ics fco5 rom and now it says it isnt compatible with my device. Any help would be much appreciated!
It looks like the issue has been addressed in Android 4.2 on the Nexus and some people have worked on porting this updated messaging app into their ROMs. I have looked through all of the available ROMs and cannot seem to find the most recent version in them. I might be missing what I am looking for though. Does anyone know if the changes found here are available in any ROMs?:

I would even take a stock rooted rom with these changes in it if I had to. If messing around with a ROM kitchen is the answer that is fine too. I might have to go that route.

I would love to dump GOSMS hopefully this happens
The slim ROM seems to have it. Native group messaging and it seems to work. Some messages, although small seem to be slow to download. But that could just be me.

I am running a custom rom (MMuzzy) based Android 4.2, and before when i was on Android 4.1 i had the option to do SMS in facebook messenger, but now the option is gone. Is anyone else experiencing this or does anyone have an explanation? Also i am running the most current version of Messenger.
I've also been experiencing this, and have found no answer.

Same here - worked on my G-Nex LTE with AOKP 4.1, but no dice after moving up to 4.2. I've uninstalled, re-downloaded, wiped data, etc. It was awesome to use while I had it working. Current Messenger version (find it in settings) for me is 2.2.4 (build 97447); I wish I knew what i had with 4.1

I'm having the same issues on Paranoid Android 2.99+ (Android 4.2.1). It's frustrating. I actually downloaded the Android SDK and used the emulator for Androids 4.0.3 & 4.2. Same issue on all of those too. I tested the FB Messenger app on my gf's Galaxy S3, and it shows up fine on hers. Something is wrong with the Galaxy Nexus and Facebook Messenger.
I have the Nexus 4 and do not have this option. I was hoping it would be there. My GS3 has it. I wonder what the delay is from adding compatibility to other phones? Why only roll this out to a few devices? I would think pure android would be the easiest compatibility to a achieve.
Really missing this feature. Upgraded to a Nexus 4 from an SII, and losing features was not something I expected to happen.
I don't understand what's taking them so long to roll this out to other phones.

I don't want the "Jellybean Keyboards" from the market.
I want to pull an original Latin_IME keyboard (Clean AOSP keyboard) from an AOSP ROM and make it work on Sense.
But how do I do this?
I've tried it multiple times now and it's always "*Keyboard* has stopped working*.
Anyone have any ideas regarding this?
Thanks!
what's wrong with the one from play store?
It should work by normally installing the .apk file. If not, get it from Play Store.
The one from the Store doesn't have the same feel to it, it's sitting there in my app drawer, it's usually slow and sluggish, I just want the original.
I have a toroplus, and have toyed with several 4.3 ROMs (the latest being Carbon). Now I'm on the 4.2.2 MIUIv5 and have the same problem. That is, whenever I am running Maps Navigation and Rdio at the same time, one or both of them closes when they go to the background. It's as though I am running low on memory and Android is saying "that's not an important app, so I'll just close it". When I check, I have somewhere around 100MB of free RAM, which seems to be normal compared to other reports. Does anyone have a similar experience? Any insight on how to fix? Would it help to move Maps to /system/app? Thanks!
