[THEME] Virgin Theme ICSWiz v1.33 UCALH1 - AT&T 9.17.12 - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

fellow themers/Rom makers, if you'd like to use any of my work, please ask first!***
this is a continuation of my theme from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1735157. i asked for it to be moved but that never happened so we're starting over with an RC1 and a substantial amount of updates/improvements. this actually went from beta03, to beta08, and now an RC1 in the background. if you thought i was gonna sit back, never update, and let my thread die, you thought wrong
trying to get this finished completely before jumping to MIUI.
oh, for those of you who do not like the AOSP 4G statusbar icons, i have an add-on for you guys
i've attached a flashable of the Trebuchet launcher which is what i use. thanks goes to CM Team.

yeah, i miss Jelly Bean. it's going to be a while though. a few more Samsung firms will prob drop before that happens. CM10 isn't quite stable enough yet for me. those guys are working hard on it.

minor update of a few things today. looking to theme SecContacts (dialer, etc) next but this may take a while. after that, this theme will be complete i believe

quick panel settings support?

So I flashed this over my rooted stock phone that wasn't on LH1, but the release before it. Now I've got this error Select an action. No Applications can perform this action. Activity %1$s is not responding. Then something about violating strict mode policy.
I can't get the phone to sync via USB in Download/Recovery or at the point where it's stuck with that error. Any suggestions?

upgrade to LH1... why would you flash files from a different firmware
the update from LG1 to LH1 was pretty big... not only did lots of xml change, but so did some policies.

Yeah, I don't know what I was thinking when I did it last night. Too much to drink etc.
So where can I find LH1 and can I flash it through Odin3 with the phone in download mode because that seems to be the only place I can get a connection made to the PC?
Thanks for the help.
EDIT: I found a LH1 stock rooted ROM. We'll see how this goes.

Problem is I can't get the files to the device because USB doesn't work while the phone is booted and it's stuck at that error screen. I'm trying to figure out a way to push the files to the internal sdcard now through download mode.
EDIT: Back on a rooted LG1. All good now I just need to flash LH1 then this theme again. Lol.

i had to base SecPhone off of MVLALE8 due to compiling issues (weird). SecContacts isn't complete just yet. it's very very close. there were a few things i couldn't find but will. eventually. enjoy!

Just a thought but you may want to black out your phone number in the ss.

[THEME][XXJVQ][02 July] Gingerbread theme (JVQ ported by redmanner)

Hi,
This is a simple mod of Samsung's 2.3.3 framework to make it closer to the stock Gingerbread feel. Images are taken from 2.3 sdk, added a feel tweaks of my own (to fit the expanded status bar in particular). Kindly note that this will only work on Samsung's Gingerbread releases.
Changes from Samsung's stock theme:
- 1% battery levels
- Tweaks to expanded status bar
- Green/grey network and wifi icons (depending on connectivity to Google services)
- New Pop-up toasts
- Screen-off animation (tks Daneshm90 for his tip)
- Green progress/ slider bars
- Extended Power Menu and AOSP lockscreen (thanks $omator!)
- Overscroll glow (thanks dhiru1602!)
Installation:
- I would recommend using CWM install zip function in Chainfire's or Supercurio's kernels
- Or you should be able to replace the apks from the zip file generated by Rom Kitchen (Use 7zip and drag and drop.). Keep a backup just in case bad things happen
Changelog:

v5.1: Fixed bug with data connection labels on power menu. (Thanks $omator for the hint), removed auto-reboot command in installation script, added TouchWiz lockscreen version.
20 Apr 2011
v5: Redone framework to minimise errors. Fixed string error in USB connected screen(and possibly other areas). Removed 5 lockscreens, kept AOSP lockscreen. Hope that means no bootloops
18 Apr 2011
V4: Tested on XWJVB. Based on dhiru1602's framework. Added 5 lockscreens (special thanks to dhiru1602)
The USB connected screen has some strings replaced/substituted, so I've marked this as a test version for now.

So not sure what you mean by Rom Kitchen and the rest. But will it work to replace the 2 apk files with root explorer?
Looks good man, can't wait for a ASOP lockscreen so i can lower my lcd density again.
Can you make other signal bars (when not connected) green, too? Thanks!

I've not tried that, CWM is still the easiest. If root explorer works for you in previous roms, the same method would work too. You may get some force closes though when replacing them.

I've tried to keep things as close to stock Gingerbread as possible. Maybe I'll add a couple of alternative packs if I have time.
ock, I took your theme and replaced the battery icons to a Honeycomb like, cause I seriously can't see the battery reading in the original Gingerbread (it's not your fault, I understand).
So, I took the liberty to use your theme.zip and replaced it the battery indicator icons.
I'm sharing what I changed here for all, hope you don't mind. If this shouldn't be here, let me know.

Currently, my phone is bricked (partition resizing gone wrong). I will be getting a new one as soon as I save up enough. Once I have a new new phone, I'll start making updates again.
WTF is "Rodimus"? A gnarly character from Transformers. Also, it's my Optimus V ROM. It has modifications and optimizations done by me to make your phone better. Updates to this ROM may come in the form of an update.zip or may come as a full ROM requiring a wipe. Please do not request ETAs. I'm in college full-time studying biochemistry as well as working full-time. I work on this in the small amount of free time I have.

You can't use clockwork 3. You must use CWMA. link and instructions are in the post.
I really like your ROM, but is there anyway that you may know of that I can edit the screen-off animation to the gingerbread screen-off animation. If so, that would be an awesome add-on. Thanks!

Not possible, sorry
Using your ROM, I have a 6-bar cell signal icon in the notification bar. Would it be possible for you to tell me how to go back to the default 4-bar cell signal icon?
Thank you!

Default for this phone is a 6-bar cell signal icon. To make it 4, you would have to make some xml edits in the framework. The easiest way would be to just edit the icons, but the bars wouldn't be as accurate.
I tried editing the icons "stat_sys_signal..", but nothing changed about the cell signal in the notification bar. Any recommendation?

I forgot to mention, with this phone, Lg changed where the signal icons are stored. The files you are looking for are in /system/framework/lg-res.apk and they're called icon_rssi_bars0.pro, icon_rssi_bars1.pro, and so forth.
Sorry to be such a bother, but how would you go about putting an icon into a .PRO file?

[Theme] GingerWay_BlueOcean SGS2 Port KI8/KI3/KI4 10/21

first i want to say thanks to Dr_Sam for bringing this particular theme to my attention. had he not, this probably wouldn't exist
also need to say huge thanks to Antonda who is the original creator of this theme. original thread can be found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1152448
alright, down to business. porting has gone extremely smoothly thus far. i've kept almost everything (i know, some probably just sighed a little here) but i have only changed very very few things. example... the message slider tab is currently green. i will be changing this to blue to better suit the theme. *please note, this is not an "all blue" theme. there are some hints of green, as well as other colors, here and there.
currently Antonda has 3 releases. at this point, i'm only concentrating on one at a time. i may only do one, we'll see. i've started with the JVP new release, but i'm going to go back to just JVP because i like the status bar a little better.
Universal theme *should* work with ALL deodexed TW ROMs, no matter what release version KI4 (and all 2.3.4)
i'm no longer supporting the Universal theme. there are just too many issues with it. it doesn't work for everything like it should. i'm leaving the link up but flash at your own risk

NOTES
all feedback is welcome. please keep in mind that i've never ran this theme on any device previously than the SGSII. there are probably some things still wrong.
Mms.apk was released pretty much how i had it. if anyone would like to lend a hand there regarding the background being changed to black, please feel free to.
oh, and the ClockPackage.apk changes were just for the tabs. i'm also aware that the other colors within the clock aren't blue... that's because the stock ROM of the SGS1 had blue. may theme this later anyway...
***blue toggles zip
i have added blue toggles as a zip file (do not flash!) for anyone that wants them. to apply, simply copy the included png image files over to your SystemUI.apk in res\drawable-hdpi using 7zip or something similar. then copy SystemUI.apk back to your system/apps folder with root explorer or something similar. change permissions to rw-r-r and reboot.

what 's the letter type used in this theme?

my system font being used is the Sony Sketch font. but 3G icon font face, and others, is a font called Bauhaus. it will be included and installed when you flash. will overwrite your Clockopia, DroidSans, and DroidSans-Bold fonts to make them all Bauhaus.

nice. looks great. btw about EDT, do i install EDT first then this theme?

it really doesn't matter which you install first. i'm not including the EDT app. i'm just making sure my SystemUI.apk is compatible with it so if a user wants to use it, they have that option.

nice. thread is going fast after released.
btw does the battery extras need to be redownloaded too for every release? cuz i got the habit to download all stuff in one update and would like to know if i only need to download the new bate2 only or includes the 3 extra battery just incase i want to change them.

good question.
edit: this has changed a bit. battery variation release numbers should almost always match theme release number, ie 1.3.1 to 1.3.1. there are certain instances where you'll see the theme bumped up one but the battery variation release staying the same. this is because something changed within the main theme that had nothing to do with SystemUI.apk or framework-res.apk which is re-flashed when you flash one of the battery themed mods.
and just because i'm pretty excited, aren't you? heh
Is this the one you've posted on the VR thread? If it is, then I'm looking forward to it

i would seriously need your help with the lockscreens. i've never messed with anything quite like that before. looks like there were lots of .jar file edits and the addition of xml/png files all over the place.

i was modeling it after the Android here.
as you can see, that dark blue isn't the only blue within the theme. i thought a darker blue for a tab would look tacky. guess i could do it just to show you...
also please keep in mind that the blue tab was green in the original theme

Correct that it has been tested snd confirmed with Tmo, but most everything should work on any TouchWiz ROM running Kit Kat since I use Vrtheme scripts to change the images. For this version the only things not working would be the signalbars and data Icons since the have a sprint extension at the end of the name. When I get back to my PC I will make the necessary adjustments and repost.

Correct that it has been tested snd confirmed with Tmo, but most everything should work on any TouchWiz ROM running Kit Kat since I use Vrtheme scripts to change the images. Glad to hear you're experienced enough to run a Backup first, not so glad to hear about the outcome... If I could get a little more info so I can check into the problem? Which options did you run, what mods were you running before, md5 was good, did you happen to get an install log (Installer asks at the completion)? Those answers would be very helpful. If you get brave and have the time, you could try again only change 1 or 2 things at a time? Let me know so the Sprint crowd can enjoy what we have going here. Good luck and thank you for the input.
Okay. Since I was the 1st guinea pig with this......
Cleared cache, Dalvik, & Fixed Permissions prior to install. I get a good stick on MOAR 2.1, but the toggles are solid green haze. Themed colors throughout the settings, caller, and MMS are about 50/50 but it's the icons not sticking. Just seems like a few UI/framework tweaks needed.
This would be SOOOOO welcome to the Sprint S5. Good luck. Take your time. Get back to us when ya can, Stang.
I'll test any updates you have.
P.S.......I saw a Bobcat Theme in there. Boy, some of us really enjoyed his work on the S3.
switches dont display correctly sir and it says off when its on and on when off using el diablo on MOAR 2.1

I have an update coming out soon and have already made the fix. Thank you for the info. If there is anything else please let me know as soon as you can so I can include those also.
If anyone is interested in updated themes including "Dialers" you can download this zip package that includes, backup/Restore script, kernels, custom recoveries, essential apps, tweaks, mods, themes, and boot/shutdown Animations. Oh yeah, also includes my Not Now ROM which is optional install.
Flash from recovery like normal, the only special instructions are for ROM installation, ROM MUST BE DIRTY FLASHED!!! I have dirty flashed from pretty much every T-mobile rom available. What I mean is I've flashed over a ROM I've had completely setup for a couple days or I have installed a ROM and in the same recovery session flashed Not Now v2.5 right on top.
All other options work completely normal with no special instructions.
There is one things about dialer themes, which is explained in the Aroma Installer. The international dark dialer is not compatible. Install the "sickmade" Chrome dialer (recommended) or the US variant Dialers
Not Now v2.5 including Missing Link

Very nice :good: I'm using MOAR 2.1 and been experimenting with different themes and statusbar icons. I almost feel like I'm going to doing "theme for a day" Thank you!

Here you go, I'm into red today
As far as anything not working, seems like some of the previews for some of the statusbar icons aren't working. Love the artwork boot animation!

NICE!! I would say that Moar rom mixed with a little Missing link is perfect! I wonder how compatible Moar is with Tmo? Looks like you have some serious control options there. I'm jealous...
WOW! So many choices I don't know where to start. Well done!!! :good: Thank you for all your hard work!!
I do have a question - I didn't see any choices to change statusbar icons, etc. I see it in the OP but not sure where I missed it

Got it. Thanks @Ramer84015!! :good:
Feeling a little blue today. Check out the brick background on the quick toggles. The work that @stangdriver44 put into this is amazing!
Are you using version 2.1 or 1.1?
