Ok thanks i tried to use that but its still going on

think i have done it
i wiped the batery stats and ful charge then a full discharge and also disabled the alarms i have set up and then recalibrated just for future reference

Do a reset without the restore. When you did the restore, you probably restored the problem.

thanks for the help
insted i put a whole new rom on that was a good idea

Phone not ringing

My phone is not ringing on incoming calls. I'm currently running the PAKang 1.40 rom and have been for a long time and it just started doing this. I've never had this problem before but I'm missing lots of calls. Anyone have any ideas on how I could fix this. Thanks in advance.

I would say odin back to stock. I mean idk if this is a rom issue because I never had this with any touchwiz rom. Yeh bro try odin if u dont know what that means look it up. And I would be upset to if I missed calls so hopefully u can find the root of whats causing that issue
Also what I suggest is, if u want to stay with that rom then do factory reset wipe data/cache dalvic/and format system then reinstall rom.
Or you can just do a regular factory reset.
hope that helps

Random Reboots

So I have been having some random reboots and my phone has been freezing and wont turn off unless I pull the battery. I am completely stock only rooted I have never flashed a rom on this device either. I dont know what could be causing these problems the only root apps I have is super user and wifi there. Anyone have any thoughts please chim in. Thank you.
P.S. I have done 2 factory resets as well

Define "factory reset". If you have truly reset all the software, then it must be hardware, in which case, time to visit a Sprint store.
Reset through recovery wiped everything 3 times

I was using Juice Defender and this was causing my reboot and unstalled it and reflash the MA7 return to stock Rom and my problems have been solved. In my case it was software or some tweak that I did that caused my problem. My phone has not restarted ever since this has been 5 hours.

Issues after update

Has anyone found any problems after the update? I'm all stock, and I've found that my Google maps will stop responding while using nav, and once it's does that the phone has to be restarted before it works again. Also when using nav, if someone calls me, it will stop nav and I have to go back and start again even if I don't answer the phone.
Also YouTube will lock up now and have to be restarted and even have had issues no recording video via camera and issues with playback, all go away after restart.
Any thoughts??

Did you factory reset after the update? I did so even after it wiped everything.

No I didn't. You mean just to default everything or to do a full wipe and restore?

I'm not saying a factory wipe, which is a full wipe of data, will help. It is a recommendation and as good of a place as any to start of you have verified all of your app settings. To do so you can go into settings and factory wipe there or go into recovery mode and do it from there. Just keep in mind this will wipe your internal sd card and installed apps and updates. I doubt putting everything to default would help.

I see they just updated maps again today. Another issue is if someone calls you and you don't answer or ignore, the nav app closes and you have to restart the whole process instead like before where it went right back to nav screen after calls.

Phone freezes after call

So my dad's s3 i747 keeps freezing after making a call and staying on for 10 or more minutes..it doesn't matter if its speaker or not. Phone freezes and you are forced to pull battery and reboot to make it function. Tried changing sim, reset several times, turned proximity sensor off..am wondering if anyone else has this problem and possible solutions..would be much appreciated.

Is it completely stock? Rooted/rom'd?
And this belongs in the question and answer section. Mods will probably move it...

Try clearing the cache and data in the phone apk from the application manager. If that doesn't help, maybe factory data reset and see if that helps..

You read right, if your messages' sound is working and you are sure your speakers are alright then it is probably some application you installed, not like tweeter but an application that is setting your phone to silent.
1. Check if you have any apps that configure settings for you like Tasker or any other third party application that you installed
2. Check "quiet hours" settings which sets your phone to be silent for specific time
You definitely don't need to flash the entire firmware just because of this, at best you'll have to clear data/factory reset through recovery (stock or custom, doesnt matter). This will wipe your messages/contacts/apps so make sure you take backup before doing this.
uninstall antivirus
I had this issue and it was due to antivirus...
Try unistalling ur antivirus and reboot
see if it works.....
Ok will try to uninstall antivirus.

this might happen if u r using "Smart Call Accept" app. cos it has a option that puts your mobile to mute mode. same thing has been happening to me also.
if u r using try uninstalling it.
Sory for late rply...busy in exams.
Nothing helps. Tried everything.
Like wipe data, clearing cache and dalvik cache, nothing seems to work.

If you're speakers are working fine, and you can actually hear the call ringing before the phone goes silent then your phone is fine.
It's one of the apps you are using to alter functions of your phone or one of the settings you tampered with that is creating this problem.
If you can't figure out what you have messed up, simply reflash your ROM/firmware and check if the problem is still there without any of your apps installed.
