Could you get me a download link? Or something?... Please

Did you flash the ROM & then flash gapps (in that order)?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2

Yes, I flashed cm10 then I flashed GAPPS then rebooted... I have the gapps-jb-20120726. And I have no google now and still thinks is ics. The cm version is 4.1.1 I don't understand wtf I'm doing wrong.

Same here
I am having the exact same problem. I cannot access Google Now.

I just checked my gapps package (same package as the one that the other guy mentioned) and it the QuickSearchBox.apk is indeed there. Any other suggestions? Thanks!

[Q] Google Play Store not working

Hi all,
Long time reader and first time poster.
I've just rooted my phone and installed JellyBean - JELLYTIME for DHD/Inspire4g - R30. I must say I'm well impressed
The only issue is the google play app does not seem to work. I have tried to unistall and reinstall it, use wifi only, delete app cache, use the website to download a app - all have failed.
Another issue I have noticed is when the screen is locked, and you drag the padlock to the camera or the google search, they do not open.
Could someone please advise as to how these can be fixed?

Perhaps you can try the latest version of Gapps 12/12/12 from goo.im - failure could be due to DPI compatibility issues.
Hi...thanks for the reply. I have installed gapps as suggested. But I still can not access my account or Google play store. Google play loads up and says
Error while retrieving information from server. [RH-01]
Also another error comes up about the keyboard since installing gapps.
It reads:
Unfortunately android keyboard (AOSP) has stopped working

Try the gapps that is posted at R30 thread. I just flash R30 yesterday using the gapps give by RB, the play store works perfectly. No force close issues

About the lockscreen thing. Just go to settings> lockscreen> slider shortcuts> then edit the camera. Just pick the camera app then change the camera icon to stock. I just found out this bug when i saw your post and try to do it, the camera shortcut is not really working so i edit it afterwards. Hope this helps

Jelly Thunder Question

I have the Jelly Thunder ROM running right now. I was just wondering if you can load Apex or Nova launcher onto this as well.
I tried searching the Jelly Thunder thread and nothing seemed to be mentioned and I can't post in that thread since I'm below 10 posts.

I went into the build and changed the wording Nexus to Note 2. and that shows fine in my settings about the phone, but in reality it is saying it is a Nexus. Please help.. You need to change your build properties to be SAMSUNG-SGH-I317. You can use ROM Manager to do this. Select Performance then build.prop Editor. Look for ro.product.model. touch it and then change the property value and select OK. That should do it.
I have always been puzzled at why these guys who make this ROM don't have that as a default value. They post in the OP that you need to change this but I don't understand why it isn't the default. They get ticked off if you ask them about this but could stop all the questinos if they would just fix it in the build???
Make sure you reboot for the change to take affect.

I made this change, and did a full reboot, but everytime I try to install the new Dropbox update I get the error:
Package file was not signed correctly. Uninstall the previous copy of the app and try again.
I'm not able to uninstall Dropbox via the normal App Manager uninstall process, is there something else I have to do?

Thread has been closed. You can google for the link.I found it but I won't post since the thread has been closed by mods because the link was not updated.
Doesn't look like any more dev has been done on it since RC4. Only saying that because that's the last version I've found. (In five minutes of searching)
I could be wrong.

I actually have it uploaded. If ya want it. Pm me & I'll send you the link!!
But the only thing is that it's not the latest base and no one is going to be working on it. But it works great! You'll just have to upgrade your modem and such!

Interesting. I downloaded it but haven't installed because it was so old. Just backed up my apps so what the hell. It's been 48 hours since last flash
EDIT: very nice. Loading Crossbreeder on to see if this flies. Too bad work crapped out on it. Then again from what I've seen on it, it pretty stable, granted it's only been 15 minutes but looks like a keeper.
+1 yes it's very stable. Themed nicely without having to do any mods too it!
Yeah I ran it for like 6 months, then they came out with they're other version.. Daphines rc1, something like that... Development for that also stopped:what:

[Q] Nexus i9250 GSM google apps problem

Hello guys, I'm kinda new here. I have a small problem which I hope you guys have the answer to. Here it is, on my nexus i9250 GSM, if I flash the gapps package and the custom ROM package separately(as some ROMs don't have gapps integrated), I get an error every time I try to use the voice search and voice typing, and I had to forced close the application, and the error persist unless I turn off the voice type from the android keyboard settings. If I don't disable the feature, then I couldn't use the message application. On the other hand, with gapps integrated ROMs like MAGURO AOSP R11, I have no problem at all. Can anyone help? I'm a little desperate here.

which gapps are you using? what firmware are you on?
Some ROMs will require their own gapps package, others will work fine with goo.im gapps (and here there's gapps for 4.1.x, and for 4.2.x).

I'm truly sorry it took me so long to reply, it was a hectic day. I'm using JB 4.2.1 and the ROM I'm using is AOSP Maguro R8. I'm new to this ROM flashing and all, so excuse me if I didn't answer your question properly. You quoted, "Some ROMs will require their own gapps package..". I felt the same way and I tried looking around for other gapps but every different attempt felt like I was downloading the same file over and over. I followed every instructions posted, downloaded both ROM and gapps from a link given on the same page. "gapps-jb-20121212-signed" is the package I got each time. File name and file size are all similar in every download. So, now I think that I'm the problem.

Those Google apps are old. The package I use is from goo.im and it's dated 3/8. Those are probably 4.1 gapps.

Android 4.4 Launcher & Updated Google Apks

Figured I'd share what's been posted elsewhere on XDA re: the new 4.4 launcher and misc. apks.
Installed and confirmed working on unrooted VZW HTC One with no FC's of note.

I've tried twice to install and at first everything works just fine then I start getting FC on Google Now running NOS 2.0. Going to try cm10.2 and try it that way.
edit - Got it working after adding the lib file and changing the language a few times.

Have you installed the lib file into the lib directory? I have it working on NOS. I had the same problem but I changed the lib file from rw-rw-r-r to
rw-r-r-r now it works like a charm. I used root browser. Give it a shot!
EDIT: Ooops I missed your edit. Changing the language worked as a temporary fix for me for awhile, changing the lib files permissions fixed in permanently.
Everything is working except the ability to start voice search by saying OK Google. Is it working for everyone else? Works on my N7

You do have to flash the new Google Service which is in one of the 3 APK's in the above download link. If you don't flash that if will prompt you to update each time launching GN.
