My touch screen will not respond if I have my phone plugged into the audio of my tv. I have a 3.5 mm headphone jack to L/R RCA. If the tv is off, but still plugged in, the phone responds normally, as soon as I turn the tv on the touch screen stops responding.
Has anyone else had this issue? Anyone know of a workaround? I didn't have the issue on my buddies home theater receiver using the same cable...
When you have the phone connected try not to touch the cable going to the tv, this may help. I have noticed sometimes when my phone is connected to a computer if I touch the cord the screen will not respond.
The tv has some weird feedback or something. It works fine with any other stereo.

Hello,
I got my Galaxy Nexus (GSM, Android 4.0.4 Stock, rooted) hooked up to my LCD Monitor via the Samsung MHL adaptor (HDMI port). My Plan was to use ist as a take-with-you-pc, so i got a Bluetooth Mouse and an BT Keyboard as well.
When i use the Browser or a text editor everything is working fine BUT if i watch a video on youtube(app) or a streaming site (Flash Player/HTML5) in full screen, it shows me the controls (pause, fast forward, search, back, home, ...) only the Phone and not on my LCD.
I am completly unable to control the Phone with my BT mouse, because i cant see the pointer on the LCD (it works on the phones screen)
Even if i pause the Video/open menue/... i cant do anything witch my BT devices besides clicking blind witch a chance of hitting the right button.
When i watch a video using the MX Player in Software mode, everything works.
It seems the "Issue" (probably by design) only occures via hardware decoding.
Is there any Fix for that?
I apologize for language mistakes...
I haven't tried it on 4.0.4, but this was the issue I reported to Google.
http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=24784
But I'm glad to know that MX Player in software mode works. I'll check that out later on. Thanks!
I have sent the mouse and the HDMI cable back to the dealer (you can do this in Germany :-D ) and ordered a long cable. If you want to use MHL, I recommend you don't buy a mouse but a long cable.
So i bought a HDMI Cable for my Arc S and connected everything
its working fine and shows the screen on the tv, but when i open the
3D Gallery it goes into the 3D mode and says, i have to control with
the tv remote from now on.The problem is when i press something
on the remote i cant control anything on the phone and cant
watch my 3d panorama pics. I have a LG-LW45 Series TV
anyone who can control the gallery with the remote?
There should be a setting somewhere in TV's menu for allowing control of phone using remote. You need to turn it on!
the feature advertised by lg should be simplink,
but when i press the simplink button on the remote it doesnt seem to
find any controllable devices
Buy a Sony Bravia TV?
Simplink is just like SCART used to do, switch to the right channel when a device (dvd player) is turned on and it should be able to control the device, but that probably only works with LG devices.
What you need to control your arc is CEC (Consumer Electronics Control)
LG describe simplink as "hdmi- cec", good luck!

Hi I was wondering if anyone tried to use the Kindle Fire as a main head unit in the car.
I saw many uses the Nexus 7 but I was wondering if I will be able to perform the project with the new $50 Kindle Fire.
I need to know the followings if they are possible in Kindle Fire 7":
1. OTG Y cable - 1 side for charging 1 side to be connected to USB HUB, to be able to run from the USB HUB memory card, DVB dongle, USB sound card, BT A2DP (from receiving phone calls from the cellphone)
2. to be able to power on/deep sleep once it receive power from the charger (to be able to go to deep sleep when car is turns off and to boot automatically with car ignition)
3. Audio out from USB port
in addition I would like to know how bright is the screen.
thanks,
Moshe.
