Is there any way to force reset the battery usage stats? I'd like to run some battery drain tests on my device and don't want to have to charge it back up between every test. I'm running a rooted stock UVLH2 rom.

Hi, i'm running Paranoid Android 2.52 and since the last 5 days or so I've me experiencing the two following situations: the battery is fully charged, i start using the phone and it discharges normally, but when I load a heavier app it just shuts down suddenly with a low battery warning. the other situation is when i connect the phone to the wall charger after this issue, it starts charging normally but then it just jumps right to 100% with the same speed that it went down. Already checked the usage statistics but cant seem to find whats causing this, the battery just goes down abruptly.
Thoughts, anyone?
Try a different rom.. I recommend a Gingerbread rom with a kernel that supports battery calibration like Oxygen Rom. If there is no improvement after using the rom, calibrate the battery with this guide. http://forum.oxygen.im/viewtopic.php?id=723
If there is no difference, your battery is probably shot.
I've tried wiping the battery stats several times, re-flashing the rom, scripts and gapps, calibrating the battery and flashing rooted stock desire rom.
Is this method any diferent? I want to avoid moving to another rom if I can, i have tried several and i really like my current one.
EDIT: okey, I did as you suggested, flashed oxygen and followed the calibration steps. I was quite hard as the phone shut down as soon as the voltage level drop bellow 3201, but i managed. I experimented for a while on oxygen and the battery acted just the same as before. i have now reverted to jb, this time on AOKP v2.1. Is my battery ready for a replacement?
Anybody else having battery drain since Lollipop? Running stock/S-0ff non rooted. Noticed it eating battery faster so I did the factory reset and restored with htc backup, got better for a few days, now it seems to be eating battery again. Usually I can stream music all day through my bluetooth speaker and go home with over 50%, lately by 10am I'm down to 60-70%.
I've noticed as well. I've had to start using the battery saver app to help.
I ended up doing a full reset again and did not restore with htc backup. seems to be better. Android system was draining pretty heavily in percentage but only had about 20 minutes of actual run time according to the system.
I'm back to easily a full day from charge after turning off location services. I scaled that back a bit and am using appops to turn off location services in particular apps as well, after that and removing my T-Mobile account my battery life is back what it was. That being said this phone hands down is the best battery life on any phone I've ever owned.
Is the a way to fix the battery drain on wifi for the mmb29q update? I tried flashing back to stock, clearing cache. I using elementalx 5.08.
It should recalibrate itself after a few full dis/charge cycles. If you can't wait, then save 20% right now
I restored my phone to stock marshmallow and I'm having a battery drain:cryingroblem, what can you help me with developers
?
I'm no developer. But what I can say, is that you haven't provided nearly enough info:
1) How did you restore to stock specifically, RUU or otherwise?
2) What are you restoring to stock from? A custom ROM? MM or otherwise? And you had normal battery behavior with that ROM?
3) How long have you been using the phone, after restoring to stock? The battery meter needs to "settle in" after you've done RUU or flashed the stock ROM. Meaning at least one power cycle from full charge, and drain to 10-20% to set the battery meter "high" and "low" flags.
4) You might try an app to see what is causing the most battery drain (some folks have mentioned Watchdog app, although I haven't used it personally). If we don't know what is causing the battery drain, all we can do is guess.
usually I don't charge my battery more than 70-80% and in settings the battery stats won't reset if I don't charge 100%. is there any way to reset it manually or if it is possible to make it reset as soon as I disconnect the charger? I know bbs and stuff like that but I want the android battery stats do this also.. using oos 3.2.8 with xposed
