Anyway to lengthen the time the stock alarm clock goes off? I use the Samsung multimedia dock and 3rd party alarm apps will not sound thru the phone speakers or I would use one. The stock alarm on my ATT S3 will only go off for around 30 seconds. My wife and I would like to listen to the song I use while we get ready to go running. TIA
Nobody? Crap, guess I am stuck with a 30 sec alarm!
Have you tried adding a longer version of the song. Then selecting it as your alarm sound?

Yes I have. Even tried other songs. Same result. Alarm shuts off after 30 seconds.
I am having the same problem, I have some custom alarms as well that i have on my phone and would like for them to play a little longer to make sure i am up. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I already reinstalled ROM but the alarm problem is still there...
Sometimes it goes on and sometimes not...
I had this problem, too.
Use Klaxon: http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-klaxon.html
Has worked reliably for me and comes with an extra annoying and loud alarm! Also, you can turn the alarm off by turning the phone over.
yea, klaxon works great. had to use it on my g1 due to alarm issues. and now using it again on tp2. what the hell is wrong with these programmers that they can't make a functional alarm app? and they make how much a year????
Using stock ROM (Vodafone) and the in-built alarm clost doesn't always work... not sure why, as it's random.
Anyone else got the same problem, or better still a reason why it's not working?
I am using a custom wav sound, which is large (attached) - but without it the alarm just doesn't wake me up!
The build-in alarm of WM is unreliable since it's birth.
Long, long time ago, when I overslept once more, I bought pTravelAlarm.
A few bucks and your problem is over.
(But there are also free alarms like Klaxon.)
I have not had any problems with the alarm actually going off. However, I have noticed that it will sometimes play not only the alarm sound but also the "reminder" sound. I'm not sure why this is and it doesn't seem to happen every day. I would suggest trying a smaller sound file or maybe set up a test of the alarm and your custom sound during some time when you can observe it. Perhaps you can see if there are any special conditions that make it not go off (other programs running, checking email or something, etc...)
I am having the same problem all of a sudden
It always worked on 6.1 (and some custom ROMs)
It worked on the official 6.5 ROM
I installed Tomtom and alarm stopped working. I removed it and the alarm worked. I installed some other apps (.NET 3.5, email scheduler, timesynctz, flitsnav) and the alarm stopped working. I haven't been able to pin it down on 1 app. I removed them one by one but the problem now persists...
I have had the same problem. Woke up to late and looked at the screen where it said that he couldn't connect to the internet (probably to sync my email). When I pressed ignore, the alarm went off, email came in etc.
Maybe it better to use Klaxon or G alarm...
Code:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Notifications\Sounds]
“Repeat”=dword:00000001
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Notifications\{15F11F90-8A5F-454c-89FC-BA9B7AAB0CAD}]
"Options"=dword:4000001B
Ok, what does that code snipit (registry settings) actuall mean/do???
Same thing here... alarm sometimes fails to go off. I have noticed when it happens that the clock is locked up and is not at the current time. Also the top left of the screen says "messaging" instead of "Start"
I've noticed the messaging deal pop up from time to time for no particular reason... and when it does the clock stops keeping time. I think the fact that the clock stops is the only reason the alarm fails to go off. Any button or screen press will unfreeze the clock.
This is on a TP2 T-Mobile official 6.5 rom. Reflashed several times, and problem always returns. Unsure if it happened on the original shipped rom.
I've had issue and changed to SPB Time, never had an issue there.
Are you sure your phone wasn't locking up in the middle of the night? I have had that happen, the Blank Screen of Death locks me up, the phone just sits idle and alarms don't go off.
has anyone tried the registry settings of HD2Owner? You have to add the new settings? How does it work?
Two days in a row my alarm on my VZW GNex has not woken me up for work. When I look at my phone it says "Clock has stopped Responding."
This is kind of a big deal and rather a large annoyance, because well lets face it, I cannot be late for work everyday, and I use my phone for my alarm.
My trusty old DInc never had a problem setting off the alarm.
Any ideas or thoughts? Anyone else have this problem on their Verizon Galaxy Nexus? Oh and also, my GNex is unlocked and rooted, but on the stock Rom. I want to wait for CM9 to put a Rom on this phone.
No one has any ideas? my alarm worked this morning. but i feel like this would be a random occurrence, and i want to figure out how to make it never happen again.
hell my alarm isn't going off at all figure that one out and i have 3 of them set and yes they are enabled it shows me the next alarm time and is correct
Try going to settings > apps > clock and clearing data/cache.. all I can think of
Or you both might try an alarm app from the market if that doesn't work

Got the same problem.
When I enter to Clock application, switch do Alarm tab and tried to set any alarm, application hung up with ANR message.
Also I figured out, when I entered Settings -> Sounds -> Volumes, it's freezes same way.
Clearing data & cache for Clock application only not fixed problem, I managed, it's Media storage problem (both apps - Clock and Sounds - requires access to media storage to choose ringtone ?) - so I cleared it's data too.
Rebooted phone and voi'la. Clock are now working again. (But all alarms are gone, but that's no tragedy)
Hope this helps
My alarm plays for about 30 seconds then it stops playing on its own. Is this a known issue with thw stock alarm?
Send from my Galaxy S3
Must be because I had the same problem. Sad because I really liked the briefing feature and the gradual increase in volume. Having to use a 3rd party app and it doesn't include those features.
I know. It seems to cut off no matter what Rom I use

Anyone has a fix for this?

I too am having this, but it is after 60 seconds... frustrating, as I need that alarm to play as long as it takes to make me up, not go off after a minute! I've played with all the settings, and nothing changes. I may have to go back to the HTC Raider, which doesn't do that.
Just called Samsung Support on this...
Samsung support were pretty much no help, going the "pull your battery, clear cache & data, try it again" route. It didn't work. When she got to "Do a Factory Reset", I said, "Ummmm......for an alarm clock? Really?" and decided to just go with something from the Play Store.
So, I expect this won't get fixed soon.
What a shame because I kind of liked it. Wayk also seems to do weird things, like completely turn the alarm volume down for some inexplicable reason, so I'm in the market for another "briefing" type alarm clock.
Random question, but for those with a Verizon tablet who have updated to 4.4, does your alarm clock work? I was late to work today when my alarm didn't ring. I tested it tonight thinking a restart would help, but every time it just goes to snooze immediately. Anyone finding this issue?
P.S. Title should be Gpad. Darn autocorrect.
Im having the same problem. I just got the tablet, and it worked for about a day. Now the alarm just snoozes itself immediately.

Weird. My fix for now has just been to install a 3rd party alarm app, but it's very frustrating. If you're having this issue, are you having any issues with YouTube or Netflix? When I try to watch videos, I sometimes get grey distortion in my images. You would know what I mean if you're having the same problem.
