Was taking a look at my battery info this morning, when I noticed something very strange (see attached picture).
As you can see, the battery usage graph is there as normal - but there's no info displayed below it with regards to what apps are consuming the battery. Most annoyingly, there's also no obvious way to check the screen-on time.
Any ideas? Anyone seen this before?
I'm running MiNCO v4 with Franco's latest nightly 246, but flashing back to Milestone 5 didn't help. Neither did wiping cache/dalvik, fixing permissions or reflashing the ROM.
I guess the next step is to do a factory wipe, but I'm reluctant to do so because it's a real pain in the behind.
Try to wipe only the battery stats in recovery
Just had this happened to me on Moto Atrix HD running JB 4.1.1ATT original ROM on T-mobile service, rooted, bootloader unlocked. All aforementioned configurations put in place well before loosing batter stats. The only other "fix" I've seen for this was a ROM restore. Did you have any luck fixing this by factory wipe or other method?
D'oh! The per-application battery stats came back at the next full charge. On thing that can throw this off is that some battery meters report 100% at a point when the android system does not yet consider it full and if you stop charging at that point the stats may not refresh.

I would gohead with the factory wipe. Do the job right the first time I say
Before going through all the trouble of a factory wipe, if you have not done this already:
Charge the phone until the native battery information screen says 100% and "Full" (or something other than"Charging"). In my case the native battery information screen and 3rd party battery stats app would react to the event of battery reaching 100% but, at that point although the battery screen said 100% it also said charging (as in attached pic). At this point the battery is not at maximum charge until battery screen says 100% and Full.
That it may be better for the battery not to reach maximum charge each time is another story.

Hi everyone
Just had a bit of a problem with my Desire HD. I had my alarm set to 7, it came on at 6. Then it wouldnt unlock. I pressed the power button to turn the screen on, the bottom buttons came on but the screen stayed blank. Then I had to take the battery out and put it back in to get back into it. Then I changed the SetCPU settings to go a bit higher when the screen is off because I thought that might have been the issue. They were set at 245MHz min and 500-something maximum when the screen was off. Now I have them set 200MHz higher on each.
Strangely, it also consumed 30% of the battery overnight which is really strange considering I only flashed this latest LeeDroid like 6 hours prior to it and only installed 1 application - Current Widget.
Is there something that can cause all these things to occur? Alarm coming on earlier than usual, huge battery consumption and no display?
I am currently calibrating the battery so could that have caused it? Unlikely I think but possible? By calibrating I mean deleting the battery file, draining it and charging it up again. Currently at 55% battery remaining.
Sorry about the long read
i have some strange issues with the batterij also,
have cleared the battery status (cwm in recovery)
but when i do a full charge on 25% the batterij drains as hell
maybe the battery is broke ?
recalibrate also not working
only standard widgets no apps
anyone any ideas ?
Have you ever tried wipe data/reset to factory in CWM? This is sometimes painful, but the last resort.
The first time I had similar experience was I upgraded from Coredroidroms 6.8 to 7.0 without fully wiping. All hell broke loose. Battery was drained in a record time. Eventually I had to do what was required to wipe all data.
If you flashed Leedroid cleanly but still had problems. Chances were these are hardware-related issues.

I have recently, yesterday, rooted my phone and flashed the The Blu Kuban ROM and absolutely love it! Today while at work I noticed a issue, at like 7 my phone was at about 48% and then it just died right there on the spot. Then later while playing music on the phone it happened once again. Is there anything that could be causing this?
I would attach a picture of my battery usage but I have no posts

In your settings menu under battery, is there a certain app that looks like its using a large percentage of your battery? (The Android System included) or does it all look pretty normal?
You can also try going through the power saving options shown for CM9 (although you are on a different Rom and the settings menu may be a bit different, the same things apply) http://e4gtcm.blogspot.com/p/customization-guide.html?m=1
This might also help, although please note that it isn't officially supported on the Blu Kuban Rom (although it is listed on the list, just says that it isn't officially supported)

There is also a battery calibration app you can use to show accurate battery %. I use it every time i flash a new rom. it wipes the old battery stats. For me, yesterday I flashed M'ICS (before i flashed my battery was at 63%) As soon as it rebooted to the new rom my battery was 75% then down to 35% in a few mins. I fully recharged my phone, opened battery calibration and hit calibrate battery. works every time for me. you can find it in the play store. Also let the Rom and kernel settle in and in a few cycles your battery life should get better. GSam battery monitor works well in tracking what uses your battery. available in the play store as well.

The screen is the biggest user followed by Android OS and Android System coming 2nd and 3rd
I followed the power savings options last night and im not sure if it has helped yet, but I would like to think so.
I also saw Kobridge Tweak Pack but I was worried since the phone isnt fully supported, have you used it and if so have you seen a significant improvement in battery life?

Hi,
I'm running stock JB 4.1.1 (flashed the GSM version when it came out) on my gnex and as of recently, my phone doesn't charge over 72%. My battery history doesn't make any sense, it gives me the history of the last 20+ days, which is a bit useless. My battery life isn't bad, I get a full day of normal use. Just the stats are messed up.
Anybody ever experienced something similar or has a hint the problem is?
thx

If your phone is rooted you can do the battery recalibration from Cyanogenmods wiki (you don't need CM to do this):
1) Charge the device to full battery; let it keep charging until the battery says it is fully charged. Do not just wait until the light is green, it isn't always fully charged, causing a lot of inaccuracies. (You can check by going to: Settings » About device » Status » Battery Level = Full.)
2) Boot to recovery mode and delete the battery stats (in the advanced menu of clockworkmod's custom recovery). Keep charger plugged in.
3) Reboot the device immediately after wiping the battery stats and wait for [your system] to boot completely to the desktop. Once your entire boot is done and you have full access to the device, go ahead and pull the charger and continue with this troubleshooter.
4) Do not charge the device until after draining the battery completely, resulting in it automatically shutting off. Recharge the device completely and then use as you normally would.
Does this sound like what you are looking for or are you after something else?
Hi, i'm running Paranoid Android 2.52 and since the last 5 days or so I've me experiencing the two following situations: the battery is fully charged, i start using the phone and it discharges normally, but when I load a heavier app it just shuts down suddenly with a low battery warning. the other situation is when i connect the phone to the wall charger after this issue, it starts charging normally but then it just jumps right to 100% with the same speed that it went down. Already checked the usage statistics but cant seem to find whats causing this, the battery just goes down abruptly.
Thoughts, anyone?
Try a different rom.. I recommend a Gingerbread rom with a kernel that supports battery calibration like Oxygen Rom. If there is no improvement after using the rom, calibrate the battery with this guide. http://forum.oxygen.im/viewtopic.php?id=723
If there is no difference, your battery is probably shot.
I've tried wiping the battery stats several times, re-flashing the rom, scripts and gapps, calibrating the battery and flashing rooted stock desire rom.
Is this method any diferent? I want to avoid moving to another rom if I can, i have tried several and i really like my current one.
EDIT: okey, I did as you suggested, flashed oxygen and followed the calibration steps. I was quite hard as the phone shut down as soon as the voltage level drop bellow 3201, but i managed. I experimented for a while on oxygen and the battery acted just the same as before. i have now reverted to jb, this time on AOKP v2.1. Is my battery ready for a replacement?
My battery life is considerably worse on jellybean aosp roms (I tried both the 4.1 and 4.2 version) than it was with stock ICS, and stock jellybean with sense, I'm sure that the battery lasted at least twice as much than it does now. I'm getting around 7-8 hours with a screen time of 2 - 2.5 hours at maxiumum, screen brightness at 50%, location turned off. It's clearly a software problem since the battery life with stock rom is so much better. Something must be wrong since everyone is reporting great battery life with the latest jellybean aosp rom.

I think you maybe hurrying to a conclusion.
After you flash the flash the ROM, wipe battery stats in cwm. Then let the ROM settle ( atleast 2 charge cycles ) .
Then see if you have the same battery problem

I'm on ice cold jelly 2.2 with the XML kernel #141repacked for the ROM. I get a steady 3 hours screen on time. Give that combo a try. Also the first few days the kernel and ROM have to settle so don't be too quick to judge it.

Thank you so much! I have deleted the battery stats file in cwm and it is immediately obvious that the battery life has improved.I can't believe how easy the fix was.
Sorry for the replies, but: the battery stats wipe is useless...
The file that you've removed is a file which contains the statics of battery.
It has nothing to do with the battery life, Google has confirmed this.
In fact, in TWRP and 4EXT recovery this wipe there isn't.
However, i think you have to calibrate your battery with some charge cycles

Guich, what i talked about was not fixing battery, just fixing the readings.
Example : especially on AOSP roms, if u put on charge, after some time green LED shows (meaning charge full) BUT battery bar is stuck at a lower level ( Example 76 ) .
And the bar doesnt move forward even after you keep it on charge even longer.
So i tried a battery stats wipe in cwm and then when i booted back, it properly showed 100%.
So what i recommended was to delete previous stats ( of different ROM which were carried into this one).
So now the phone starts monitoring battery anew (with no cache).
Sorry if you misunderstood me.

I think this fact is random.
In fact, all aosp rom that i tried didn't have this problem
And, teorically, this file was delete when you made a full wipe.
In fact in TWRP recovery there isn't the wipe for the battery

Battery stats file should be deleted each full charge, though I have noticed my phone crash (my fault messing about with UV) and then my batter jump from 8% to 45% which is quite a jump lol

I'm familiar with CWM, but I cannot find it in advanced menu.
Is it because after I upgrading my HumberOS CM10.1 to AOSP 3.15?
I did a wipe clean. Everything. Fresh install.
It happened after I finished upgrading to AOSP ROM 3.15. My battery shows nothing even I charged it for a whole night.
Only 2% batt left while I'm typing this message. I have to connect my SGT7 to charger but nothing happened. It shows that it's charging but too bad, its not.
I've never encounter this problem before. It would be nice & I would be grateful if you sir can help me through this problem.
Thanks for replying.
