I have tried with three different builds of Cynogen. I installed CWM just fine, and put the rom on the sd card, but when it come times to use it it starts to install then returns and error saying it's can't verify the signature.
Any idea's?
Do you have the latest CWM? If not download Rom manager from the play store and install CWM from there and you will have the latest and it should install fine.

I received a replacement Inc2. It came with 2.3.4 so i downgraded it and used Revolutionary to obtain s-off and install clockwork. Now when i reboot using power button and volume down, i get the white screen showing Fastboot, recovery, factory reset screen, etc. When i select recovery, i get the revolutionary CWM 4.0.1.4 screen. When I select install zip and select MIUI, this is what it says.
installing:
findings update package....
opening update package...
e: cant open /sdcard/miui.us.vivow...............(this rest of the filename)...(bad)
installation aborted
I have tried several ROMs and also tried to install a backup from my prior INC2 but none of it works
any help is appreciated
That usually means that the file is corrupt, but since you tried it on multiple ROMs, I think you need to update your recovery. Download ROM Manager from the Market, and Flash ClockWorkMod Recovery. Or, you can download the 4EXT Recovery Control app, and get an even better recovery.
Ok downloaded ROM manager and when I start it is gives me the message "you must root your phone for ROM Manager to function. Superuser was not found as "/system/bin/su/system/xbin/su"
I ok thru that but when i attempt to update to 5.0.2.0 is gives me the message " an error has occurred while attempting to run privilege commands"
I had my old Incredible 2 rooted without any issues.
Thanks for your help.
Update. Got it figured out. For some reason the superuser zip did not install. After I did that again, it works. Able to flash my setup from my previous INC 2. Thats for you help.
Hello,
Today I updated my rom manager on my phone and saw there was a new cynanogenmod rom availble for my phone.
I downloaded the ROM with Rommanager and when it rebooted into clockworkmod recovery for install - it stopped displaying the message "Installation aborted".
I have tried downloading both version 7.2 and 7.1 (the one I were using before) manually and installing it by recovery bootloader - then I'm gettin the error message: (bad) Installation abborted.
I'm not able to post the recovery.log, cause of XDA forums restrictions :/
Any suggestions to what I could do, to get my phone working again?
Okay fixed it..
Used adb push instead of just copying the roms to the sdcard.
So i tried installing the new PACman rom v19.0----------> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2050948
when i tried to install the zip from the sdcard it said installation aborted and didnt work.
and my phone stopped working when i want to boot my phone it goes straight to my recovery. its not turning on!!!
So since it was going straight to recovery mode i just tried reinstalling my previous ROM but thats not working either. Its not installing any ROMS but it is installing other zips like gapps or keyboard etc.
PLZ HELP!!!

If you can get to Odin mode download the FI27 Rooted Restore and flash.
That should restore the device back to a safe spot and you can go from there.
Hi guys,
I had just installed CWM and had TWRP befor it. Now im tryng to get back to TWRP because a nandroid backup is with TWRP.

FIXED: Used terminal emulater to flash it
Hi Guys,
This is my first time working with a custom ROM. I have an old S3 which sucks due to Samsung bloatware. So, I wanted to play and install Cyanogenmod on it.
I have a Rogers Samsung Galaxy S3 (Canada) and the model is SGH-I747M. I was following https://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Install_CM_for_d2att to install the recovery image & Release build (https://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=d2att&type=snapshot). I am using a Mac.
Steps I followed:
Installed Heimdall Suite on the Mac
Downloaded CM12 build & Google App and transferred it over to my phone's internal storage
Restared in download mode
Transferred recovery image
Restarted in recovery mode
Wiped/Factory settings
Apply Update -> cmbuild.zip file
It tried to install and then gave me a "Install Failed" error. I was then able to re-boot normally and get into the phone.
Any ideas, suggestions on what did I miss and what can I do? Is it ok to install the CM12 release build for my S3? Or do I need to go with CM11 or lower?
Thanks.
Flash twrp via heimdall to the s3. After flashing, boot into twrp and flash cm12.1 and gapps.

Ok, so I tried what you suggested. I am still getting Install failed error.
The error says:
Can't install this package on top of incompatible data. Please try another package or run a factory reset.
E: Error executing updater binary in zip '/sdcard/d2att.zip'
UPDATE:
Fixed the problem by Formatting through TWRP and flashing CM12 & GApps again. Worked . Thanks for the help.
Glad you succeeded!
