Hello,
My device (HTC ONE XL evita) is successfully rooted, unlocked from htc dev and successfully installed TWRP 2.2.2.0. Just now I downloaded
cm-10-20120827-EXPERIMENTAL-evita.zip , recent nightly build and install through TWRP, all things went well. I clear cache several times already.
But system doesn't load up. It's always stuck at CyangoenMod Boot screen (With animation).
And I tried to install another ROM from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1804223.
But it's still same, stuck at animation boot screen.
Does anyone have a clue how to solve this? Please kindly help me out. I really need it. Thank you.

wrong section champ. You want this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1538
but to be somewhat helpful. Did you flash the boot.img provided with your rom (fastboot flash boot boot.img) and fastboot erase cache?

Is there any other ways? Please kindly help me out. Thank you.

Hey guys, I'm having a little problem getting TWRP recovery working on my DINC2. I'm HTC DEV unlocked with S-ON and rooted. Currently I'm running Miui .30 ROM. I had flashed CWM recovery during the initial rooting operation and now that's the only thing that I can get working. If I go into goo manager and download the recovery, it seems to go OK, but still comes up in CWM recovery 5.02. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong or something else to try?
Thanks in advance,
Eric

Someone may have a better answer than me, but I think your solution may be flashing the recovery image. They can be found at
http://goo.im/devs/OpenRecovery/vivow
And you will probably flash it with fastboot, not CWM. Look in the twrp thread to see if it gives more info before doing anything.

That was the ticket! fastboot flashed the recovery zip file and all is well. Now to figure out the S-OFF stuff.
Thanks again!

Hi XDA,
I decided to install CM 11 on my HTC, and so I unlocked the bootloader, and I then rooted it. I also updated my HBOOT to 1.39. After this I installed CWM and backed up, and attempted to flash the latest CM for the One X. Firstly I had an issue with the status 7 error, but managed to overcome that by updating my CWM (Now running 6.0.4.7 Touch Recovery). At the moment I do not have an OS, and all attempts to flash a new ROM are successful, however when I reboot I am still stuck at a frozen boot screen. ("HTC. Quietly Brilliant"). Even restoring my backup doesn't work.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Apologies if this is in the wrong section.
Thank you

I haven't, no. Is this unzipping the rom and then flashing the .img?
Yeah take out the boot.img indeed and flash it via fastboot

Hello there,
This is my first XDA thread! This is an issue I ran into.
I just installed CM 14.1 on my OP3. I downloaded the latest TWRP from the official website before flashing it.
Here is the problem. After setting up my ROM, like installing all the required apps, I'm not able to boot into recovery. I tried flashing TWRP again, I downloaded the oneplus recovery from your website and I flashed that one too.
I erased recovery partition and installed both of them again (erasing each time). What happens is, after booting into the bootloader, I select recovery to go to the recovery and it stays blank, unless I reset it by holding the buttons.
Please let me know what I can do.
Same happened to me also. But somehow I fixed it by installing TWRP again by using OnrPlus 3 toolkit. Here is the toolkit forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3/development/tool-tool-one-driversunlocktwrpfactory-t3398993. Can't post links. Don't forget to put http:// front of it

Thanks for the reply.
Are you sure what happened to is exactly what happened to you? Because I tried the ToolKit and it is not working. I tried both the versions of the TWRP and Stock recovery.
If you know anything else about this issue that would help me. I'd love to hear it.

Also. Does encryption affect this in anyway, because I did it. I don't want to factory reset my phone because this is my primary phone and I don't have another phone. And I don't want to risk it, at least for a few days.

Thanks LS.xD. You are awesome. I completely messed up my old Moto X and I didn't have a smartphone until now. I hesitated a lot before installing all custom stuff until I gave in. And this problem made me worry a lot.
Thanks a lot.

Hi guys, I searched around the forum before posting this so I apologize but I recently installed a new rom and possibly a wrong kernel with it. Afterwards, if I try to turn it on, it just shows the logo and then turns right off. I can't even go into recovery since it does the same. The only thing I can do is boot it into fastboot but I'm not sure where to go from here. I tried using a guide with no success.
Any words of wisdom?
reflash your recovery via fastboot, then boot into recovery and do a clean install
fastboot flash [recovery].img
I tried reflashing recovery but all it does is show the old rom logo that was used and then shuts down.
Hi,
Read carefully and try this guide:
forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3/how-to/guide-mega-unbrick-guide-hard-bricked-t3405700
which rom did you flash? You need the correct twrp file for your bootloader.
That's the first place I tried. Anytime I hook-up my phone to the PC it shows up as OnePlus Android bootloader interface under Android phone and I can't seem to update the drivers..

Hi! Sorry about my english.

Bootloader is unlocked.
Did the fastboot recovery flash of the modified twrp 3.0.2-1.28

Are you on OOS4? If so try 3.0.2.19 of TWRP or the bluspark version 11 by eng.stk
no, @ stock OOS 3.2.8
ok did the update to oos 4.0 now.
and doestn work...
i have no idea
Try: "fastboot erase recovery" then "fastboot flash recovery recoveryfilename.img".
Otherwise try re-downloading it.
thanks, but no success
when i flash modified twrp, get stuck into booting to twrp.
after rebooting oos4 and reboot to recovery, original recovery is getting started.
Tried everything now for hours. Without getting a working twrp. Has anyone the same problem?

I have the same issue, I'm on OOS4.0.1 and TWRP won't boot, tried the blu sparks one and the one included in the toolkit 3.7
Neither would boot, just stuck at their splash screens. I'm also looking for an answer.
do you have the dm-verity screen too at booting?

I recently posted a guide to solves issues like that. Here it is: https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3/how-to/guide-flashing-oos-v4-0-1-custom-rom-t3537757
I hope it helps.
There is a lot of reading there. So, read it carefully before proceeding any further.
