Crt animation is a pain in the arse to build, been working on perfecting it with the on and off animation... once done will post

That would be good! I wonder why samsung did not add it on the ICS update!

Isn't it a simple edit inside the framework-res.apk file?

Depending on your build yes...just an edit to the bools.xml. However on other builds one has to edit several other files inside the classes.dex...just depends.

I made this package to replace the boot animation for any 4.03 AOSP ROM's. I tested it on mine (ModAGnex V2) and a few others. Especially the AOKP ROM since I don't like the pink unicorns =) ha ha ha (TeamKang Rom's are great).
Instructions:
Download: HERE
Use clockwork recovery and flash the .zip file.
reboot!
Done (No need to wipe or do anything else.)
Let me know if you have problems.....
About to flash, I'll let you know how it goes.

Its the stock animation. And it should work with any rom that keeps their boot animation in the /system/media/ directory.

hey bro just flashed, and it didnt work, i also clean cache but no go, thanks anyways, hoping u or anyone else post a working zip...
I had this flashed also. I think the animations are indeed changed. Though from touch whiz launcher doesn't do the animation. You can verify by allowing down the animation speeds
Hey u guys.
The animation zip will NOT work without a kernel that supports it. Try Kettle Corn by shabby in original dev. This is because the phone uses .qmg for at animations. I've researched this issue a ton and as of right now you can only do it with a custom kernel that supports it.

I have done all the work needed to port slim bean from ns4g but once i install it and reboot to system it stays at the bootanimation but never boots up. I included the cm10 bootanimation just to be on the safe side. Im hoping a dev can please look at what i did and figure it out for us..
here's the rom i used to port http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2060483 and used cm10 as a base

Most of ns4g porter use ns4g to paste cm10 files
But I uses cm10 to copy and paste from ns4g,
1. Copy systemui, settings and phone apk from ns4g to epic4g
2.delete framework folder and copy with the ns4g ones
3. copy all folder except usr and vendor/hw (not overwrite just add the unexist file on cm10)
4 done
I'm not responsible if there is any damage, it's my own experience, maybe there is step that I forgot , sorry

Man you guys have sucked almost every ROMs in the NS4G forum for ports, now I was left with only MIUI and FlyMe and fxxk, school is opening tomorrow... Gotta try MIUI though I don't quite like it
And hey, when you're porting, what have you exactly done to META-INF folder and /system/build.prop?

I'm pretty sure it will work on odexed roms. I made the script delete the odex files so it should work.
To flash it just odin el26 cwm kernel, wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache, flash. You can select the stock kernel so you don't have to do another flash.
