Hello, wanna share this version of Gallery3D which is not the lousy Samsung stock one. Scroll is smooth in this apk, as well as transition in opening folder.
Download the apk, move it from sdcard to system/app to replace original gallery.apk using root explorer or any root filemanager, then set permissions to read write, read, read.
Try it, it's awesome.
where is it?

FC on stock froyo..
gonna restore my backup apk..
wew..any help?
Not just look. I have a lot of folders and using the stock one is so ****ty because stock gallery always jumps in scrolling. CM made theirs a hell lot faster and it is not even an opinion this is better
its for deodexed roms only...,not to worry,Ive attached update.zip for stock odex ones. Flash it in recovery..[as a bonus i changed the icon to the default one,i think its better]...+1 for me and the thread starter...
ahh...for deodexed only thats why FC on my froyo..

does it work?
on froyo odex?
what if not? what should i do?
can u create a apk file only that can be put at system/app?
so that for easy restoring backup stock apk when i got in trouble..
hehe..btw thanks..
works fine for me...try it out...As always make a back up
i had a backup of my gallery.apk
but ur attached was .zip..
if i messed..dont know what to do..cause my backup was in apk..
keep a backup of the odex too...if you mess up,just replace the apk and odex using root explorer..i created zip so that you don't need to do that permission crap
ahhh...ok gonna try it now..
BTW..im have update.zip in my root of sd card..
it was to be replace the update zip if i try to copy it to my sd card..how was that?..
the one(update.zip) on my sd card was done updating it..can i now delete that files and put the one(update.zip) of yours..?
am confused..just place the update zip in the root of your sdcard and flash it
unfortunately doesnt work..
i had tried it..
hoping someone could do it as apk and odex file to be put at the system/app..
coz in update.zip in recovery doesnt work..
now no gallery app or icon was on my drawer..its gone.
gonna put my back now..
just extract it from the zip..its inside the app folder

And a stupid question, just to make sure - replace the current one in system/app with this downloaded one?
upd: nevermind, i allready did it and HELL YEAH!!!! it's working as expected - icons there after reboot!!! you're awsome, dude!!! thx!!!!
One more update - app icons stay, but game's icon disappear. BUT if put to a folder, they stay. So don't pay attention, it's even better in folder. Thx once again!

I've seen a Paranoid Android ROM for the Xperia Pro in the Dev Section that had FM Radio but HDMI Disabled so it could be possible to get FM Radio working. I don't use HDMI that much, but I use FM Radio quite alot.
Is there a way to get TV output another way other than through the MHL port on the top of the Arc S?

First link is a rom based on stock, next is a rom based on cm7.
Like I said. You need some stock based rom or cm7 for Gio.
Extract zip package for Gio and from this package copy to your downloaded and extracted rom boot.img file, camera, bluetooth app to system/app, modules, hw folders to lib folder and after this pack by winrar to zip edited ace rom.
Now you have fullu working ROM with WP style, It's easy. Just try.

Dammit! You lost me on the "cm7 for Gio"
So let me try to figure it out:
I need to download CM7 for Gio, and download the WP7 Ace ROM, then extract the boot.img, camera and bluetooth and change them with the ones on the Ace ROM, and then compile and update the zip in CWM?

exactly
Yes, if base is cm7.
I see you understand.
I forget about media_profiles.xml in system/etc
and in system/lib you have to copy all files with "cam" in name , for example libarccamera.so etc
a few minutes of work
good luck

it's easy you can do it by yourself
1. Extract zip package
2. Copy from cm7 or stock gio rom ( for example if base is cm7 so you should copy from some cm7 rom) :
camera.apk and bletooth.apk to system/app folder
modules and hw folders to system/lib
media_profiles.xml to system/etc
libarccamera.so and similar files with cam in name to system/lib (4 files i think)
replace boot.img file
replace build.prop file
META-INF\com\google\android replace updater-script file
5 minutes of work
after all pack your folders to zip package and install to your phone

Well if you did a full wipe when flashing the Rom it could be in the /data partition
If you did not do a wipe when installing the rom it means it's in the /system partition, that's all that gets wiped installing a rom

The files (wallpapers) are saved as apk. in:
/sdcard/Android/data/com.htc.launcher/files/LocalTheme
If you make some changes to the theme in themes app and save as new one, then it will be saved in:
/sdcard/Android/data/com.htc.launcher/files/CustomTheme
and here will be showing up as .png file.

It's the place where the files are saved at if you make a new custom skin from a selected photo from the photo album. Also the changes that you make later on this skin will be saved here.
