Somebody please help me. I'm on the latest slim bean build and I am having trouble with gapps. I have cleared the data and enable/disabled the play store. It started after I tried to change the dpi to 240 in the interface section in the slim bean settings. The stock dpi was 160. Now whenever I open the play store it crashes and an infinite loop of "play store has crashed" popups keep coming. I tried flashing the multi dpi fix for the play store, but the problem still occurs.

Is there a way to get the games that aren't showing up on our play store? For ex Angry Birds Star Wars & Stella?

Maybe they don't show up in play store because they are not compattable with the g3? For example tomtom also not visible in play store!
I thought there was a exposed module to remedy that

There is, it's called "Play Store Fixes."
If you change your DPI, Play Store sees all the apps that you could download as being incompatible with the G3, because it's not the stock DPI.
So, download that module, change the setting in it to 640 (default in it is 240) and reboot. Play Store apps are back for your grabbing.
This does not work. At all.

Well, don't expect much help if all you say is "This does not work. At all." and not give any specifics such as if you did change DPI, rooted, Xposed installed, etc.
You don't even say if it's just those few apps that don't show or other non-game apps that don't show up.
I posted. I tried. I left.
Hi, I'm tired from reinstalling Google Play Store (GPS) in my rooted AFTV, because inmediately after reboot, GPS auto update self and break (auto update Google Play Services And Youtube too). Youtube break too when auto update. My question is, how to install a GPS apk compatible with AFT that DON'T auto update ? Or how to disable auto update for GPS ?

The problem is with Google Play Services. If you are rooted:
Install the Xposed Framework if you don't already have it installed.
Remove Google Play Services.
Download, install, and enable the Xposed Framework module called "This App Will Run Without Google Play Services" here: http://repo.xposed.info/module/xeed.xposed.dngmod
Thanks, I'll try and report here. I have AFT rooted + Xposed installed
Well, in http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/modules/mod-app-run-google-play-services-1-0-t3054115 report that Youtube don't work without Play Services.
I will have to try another solution
Turn of auto updating in the Amazon store and it will fix your problem. Turn off auto updates and reboot. To do it just choose an app to install from the Fire TV launcher and you can access the setting to turn off auto updates from there.

This doesn't work for preventing Google Play Services from auto-updating.
You can turn off auto-update inside Google Play Store and also within Amazon's settings, but Google Play Services will still auto-update.
There's another thread on this topic:

Why are you running the non-Fire TV version of YouTube?
I have Amazon update service disabled. I'm using YouTube for Android Tv apk installed from Google Play Store. Amazon store don't have YouTube.

I can assure you there's a YouTube app specifically for the Fire TV. I don't know why you can't download it from your Fire TV. Did you replace the Amazon Appstore?
I attached the YouTube apk from my Fire TV. You can sideload it and see if it works for you.

Thanks, I'll try using this version. I don't replace Amazon Appstore, but searching for "Youtube" only show third software.
Well, I installed your version of youtube, this version is the same version that was installed previously in my AFTV, with the same error:
When begin to play a video, youtube close inmediately !!!!

Then something is very wrong with your Fire TV that has nothing to do with the google play store.
I can confirm that the play store for me automatically updates after my first close of the store. I have to keep on reinstalling the older play store version, since the newer one always displays a white screen. I am using one of the xposed modules to change my device disguise to a nexus tablet. It just seems to break every single time it autoupdates.
I can open the sidebar, but the screen is just white and I cannot search.

Hi, for resolve this problem I installed Xprivacy , install Google Play Store + Google Play Services (old versions from this forum), configure my account in Play Store, inmediately shutdown my wifi router, open Xprivacy and disable Internet item security for Google Play Services. Now, Play Services can't auto update, and Play Store run OK without breaking !!!! I recommend install a usb mouse to AFTV, because Xposed/XPrivacy Interfaces aren't optimized for AFTV

Do we have a consensus on if this fix is working for most people? Btw--i don't know why but when I first got the white screen in play store (maybe 5 weeks ago) all I did was remove play services and and its continued to work ever since. I'm just curious about the above mod and being proactive in case it stops working.

What you did is fine as long as there are no apps that require Google Play Services like the "Watch ABC" app.

It's a Xposed module, check http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/modules/xprivacy-ultimate-android-privacy-app-t2320783
I managed to "freeze" my store and play services using the immutable flag route (chattr command). Created 2 files "com.android.vending-2.apk" and "com.google.android.gms-2.apk" in /data/app/ folder for store and play services respectively (I "froze" the play store as well as version 5.3.6 works fine for me).
I wrote a little script (remove the ".txt" at the end from the file name) to turn on and off the immutable property of these files. It is a pretty through complete overkill (LOL) as you can just do that with 2 lines of code, but I wanted to learn a bit about scripting, so went the whole hog with functions, arrays, making sure the dummy files are zero bytes, checking existing flag, how to return values from functions, error handling, verbose debug statements. I am attaching it if anyone wants to take a peek or wants some base scripting code to do other stuff on top of it. Its documented reasonably. You can run it by default. If you want to turn OFF the flag (for taking updates), you pass "ULOCK" as a command line parameter for the script. Its documented in the script... Please don't run it without understanding it first, though it does not do anything destructive except change flags. You will need to create the 2 files (or 1 file or 4 files if you want to lock all Google apks) manually in the /data/app/ folder.
One artifact of using this method that I have noticed. The FTV will periodically throw up an error message:
"Not Enough Space
Additional space is required to install this app. You can free up space by removing installed apps or connecting a USB drive. Recommended drives can be found at www.amazon.com/firetvstorage."
You will get 2 options to choose from: Install Later and Manage Installed Apps. You need to click on "Install Later". Its a wrong error message about space, but it has to do with the inability of Google (and FTV) to replace those dummy apks as they are locked.
Google will download newer version to /data/data/com.android.providers.downloads/cache/ folder, but it will sit there as it cannot overwrite the dummy apks.
Hello
I have a problem for example I use bank app and when I click on something is redirect me to v apps and it's don't work
I would love to switch default apps to normal one like play store or chrome
Same with any apps in Chinese....
For me Play Store was installed, and work with V-app perfectly when one has a update that the other doesn't have it tells me.
Search in V-app Google Play Store
Hello, I tried different technique yesterday found on the web, but none of them worked.
I would like to force the installation of the Google play store on my daughter's phone, I tried different apps like App gallery included, or aptoid, but we meet some problems on some applications like Gacha life that my daughter uses a lot.
The problem is that the game closes directly. (the version found on Aptoid)
So you have a solution to force google play store?

You can use Gspace that was deleted from AppGallery.
