Sorry for the simple questions but did you pull the battery? Are you sure your battery is is not dead?
Do you have access to recovery?
If no flash a firmware with fastboot.

You should still be able to get into fastboot menu and recovery though through holding volume up and down and then the power button.....
Anyway, glad you back up again.
Was your phone hot? It's possible that safety throttle stuff shut down the phone and waited till it cooled off? I honestly don't know how the throttle craps works.

Dunno I looked at the app and honestly I don't like it.. it feels bad.

I have a rooted Incr2 Verizon, with stock gingerbread 2.3.3 and a host of apps, including ROM Manager Pro and Titanium Backup Pro.
Boot time from pushing the button to the start screen is 125 seconds! Fastboot is even turned on.
Any idea what might be going on that takes the phone over two minutes to boot? Once up and running, everything is fine.

From a cold boot (battery pulled), that seems to be about what I see. Fastboot allows it to boot faster as it doesn't start from scratch so reboots are usually a lot faster.
There's not much you can do to speed it up other than have less bloat started when you boot.
I don't think 125 seconds is bad. You phone is a computer, is it not? how long does it take for your PC to boot?
I wouldn't be to concerned. I'm running AOSP (miui) & mine booted in 58secs.

Anyone ever get this problem. I noticed after rooting that my screen buttons are freezing every now and again I pretty much have to take my battery out to restart it. My volume and power buttons pneumonia the side still work though. Any thoughts?
Thanks

Make sure you are properly rooted.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...GwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5qb2V5a3JpbS5yb290Y2hlY2siXQ..
If you are, try flashing another rom, or doing a complete system wipe.
That just told me i was rooted, not that my root might be corrupt? Idk. Thanks tho

My dad had this problem with his SGH-T989. Boot into recovery and wipe Dalvik/Cache. That fixed it with his.
Today I installed the hyperdrive rom and it installed and when it rebooted it shut off and will not turn on at all. When I connect it to the computer it makes a sound. I tried to put it into recovery mode but nothing's happens cause it won't even boot up at all.:crying::crying:Someone PLEASE HELP ME! Is there anything I can do???????
Does it boot up in download mode or not ?
Sent from my Nexus S using xda premium
Try holding power until you feel it vibrate. Maybe 10 seconds or so. If that doesnt help, pull the battery and put it back. Then try booting to recovery and factory reset / wipe data.

I called T-Mobile they will send me another replacement. I told them I just won't turn on. It's still covered. Which is good. Just gotta pay $5 for processing fee. What a relief it will be here tomorrow..
So this is exactly what I did before the problem started happening. I was on version 7/15 and I went to the recovery and flashed the 6/10 version and cleared dalvik and cache and then fix permissions. When I booted up, it acted normal for a few seconds and then it started happening. It would start freezing and then get that and shut off. I flashed 7/15 again and the problem still occurred. I cleared ktweaker data too...
Please help, I didn't backup my room (it's on my pc and I'm on vacation) I'm using my brothers phone.
I had to wipe everything and start over. Flashing ROM and everything.

It's not the phone. It's ROM and kernel related.

I think it sounds exactly like what was happening to me. I will try to do what you did and remove my SD card next time it happens. I only seem to get that issue when im updating the kernel on Touchwiz ROMS, and on first boot it works ok for like 5 minutes and then the crazy lag, freezing then reboot loops start. From there every boot gets the freezing and lag within a minute of booting up and its either completely freezing up or rebooting itself over and over. The only way i figured i could get over it was doing a full wipe and re install my ROM and everything all over again on a clean install if i wanted to update the kernel. Definately going to try pulling the SD Card and see if that solves my issues next time it happens.

Did you debloat at all? Like delete system apps? I feel there are system level apps that i deleted and the ROM is trying to utilize them but it can't so it reboots. Cause if you look at the last_kmsg there aren't any kernel panics in it.

Yeah that's exactly what happened to me! When my phone would freeze, it would get extremely hot and just stay on the screen/or the screen would turn off and I couldn't turn it back on
Not sure what the SD card has to do with anything but I removed it before I booted back up! If it happens again to you, then good luck I hope it fixes it!

I only disabled them, but that was a long time ago
I even disabled ktweaker last night and cleared the data to see if it would work and it didn't, so I'm not exactly sure what made it reboot
Sent from my SGH-M919 using xda app-developers app
So last night I went to check my phone and it was off so I figured it had gone off on its own but upon trying to turn it on again I found that nothing was working. I plugged it in and got no response. Took out the battery, tried to boot to download mode, or reboot and have tried just about everything to be found online. I left it plugged in all night and nothing. I called samsung and their suggestion was to hold the power button pressed down for a few seconds so after that extremely well thought out suggestion didn't work they said that I'll have to take it in on monday as their service places here are closed during the weekends.
my problem is that I haven't backed up my info and I can't afford to lose it and they said that they will wipe it once they get their hands on it. I don't have a second battery to test but I just plugged it into my computer and it was recognized as a USB device. Nothing more, not what it is and doesn't show up anywhere and nothing has happened on the phone but at least it was recognized.
This is the most messed up issue I have every encountered and it happened entirely on its own. Im all stock and am running purely simple apps like viber and whatsapp and seriesguide and family guy. Its the most mild mannered phone and has the most messed up issue. Its like someone sucked the electricity from it. Please give me some ideas
