I went over on my data plan last month and I recall T-Mobile my account saying I used 5.3gb out of my 5gb. I just installed the app again and now it says how much I've used out of "unlimited". Anyone else noticed this too?

We technically have unlimited, but it will throttle. Mine says unlimited too and I am on the 5 gig plan.
Sept 5 the 're are going to have unlimited data plan. But you will lose WiFi hour spot and tethering. No throttling either

I usually can use another 500mb before Tmobile stock my 4g, I got 200mb left for two days I can't wait till September 5Th

Oh yes I'm aware that the new truly unlimited plan doesn't roll out until September 5th but I did find it interesting that the notification for the amount of data I can use switched from saying 5gb to saying unlimited. When I went over 5gb it flashed between my overage and the word "upgrade" which linked to a page where I could upgrade to a 10gb plan. So now I wonder what would happen if I reached 5gb again.

So since we have this beast of a phone and unlimited data, what do you use that data for? I use it for streaming music (huge memory saver), social media, facebook, twitter, instagram, and some email and web browsing. I go through about 1 G - 1.5 G a month now. I was on AT&T with a 200 mb plan so I love the freedom. Just wish I had LTE here!
So, how much do you use and on what?
Also, has anyone noticed the phone getting hot if you try to use data in an area with bad connection?
I go on Netflix just about everyday, Facebook, browser, emails, youtube, etc. Have used 20gb so far with 12 days left on this bill cycle. So on average I use probably between 25-30gb a month depending how much I tether with the laptop.
This bill is for my epic on the line. Use that phone as my 4g device since I also don't have lte.

So I guess it's just north then. I'm in south Cali
So Sprint forced my phone, in Delaware, to upgrade the prl just for changes in Cali. -.-

Those were not the only changes and Sprint does not run regional PRLs. People travel these days and take their phones with them.

This does not effect your roaming in Delaware. And most of the time you wouldn't even notice the update. So your not forced.. And its nothing bad... Chill

I'm not mad or anything lol. But Sprint did force/push the prl to my phone. Just popped up and wouldn't let me do anything until it was done. That usually doesn't happen, so just thought it was weird.

That's the point. They always want the latest version the prl on your phone.

I'm only getting two bars in Plano. But it's plenty fast. Can't wait to see when I get full bars.

It looks like they might have rolled it out in Denver/Aurora CO too... Im really hoping this isnt just another test (already seen a few), its been working for more than a few hours, which makes me think it isnt.
I'm thinking a soft launch since it is spotty and unannounced. Maybe official by end of month. Tmobile store guy did say he was told by July is when Lte is deployed here.

Lte has been consistent buy signal is poor.

This. I used to have complete bars and excellent data, and while the lte is great I only have one bar, two at most.
Signal strong at work in Richardson.

A few weeks ago I went overseas on vacation and had no service at all, not even roaming. Only way I had service was when I was at a WiFi hotspot. This is the first time this has happened. Is it the ROM I'm on? Do I have to call Sprint? Some feedback would b help guys, thanks.

That's because you have a CDMA phone and most of the world uses GSM (sim card). Unless you get an international version you are pretty much stuck with no signal overseas.

Had the Samsung Epic when I was overseas and had roaming though. Also have a sim card as well with the phone I'm on now.

T-Mobile truly unlimited plan: $80 a month w/ 7gb of LTE hotspot
MetroPCS truly unlimited plan: $60 a month w/
6gb of LTE hotspot
T-Mobile insurance: $ 5.99 to14.99 a month with a $150 to $200 deductible (covers lost or stolen up to 3 times)
MetroPCS (Does not offer insurance for byod)
Solution: Samsung Protection+ : $129.99 to start with a $79.99 deductible (sorry does not cover lost or stolen)
64gb platinum gold version I paid $499.99 for mine NIB ( Had to do some Internet searching )
From T-Mobile: $899.99 (or you can finance and make monthly payment)
If you do the math you can save a lot of money with METROPCS and enjoy the same Internet speed of T-Mobile and yes since METROPCS is a T-Mobile subsidiary all features will work!!!!!

That seems like a good deal but defiently not same speeds as tmobile, I get 100 mbps download and 37mbps upload.
That's just because the area your in Metro and tmob are the same company
Same company but not the same service, Tmobile will knock Metro down a notch or 2.
