Do you guys flashed the right stock boot.img & recovery.img before the OTA ?
I was on stock kernel so I didn't flash the stock kernel also I flashed the right recovery which was Asia 2.09.707.2 which my software number is

already did that...but still failed to update
Which recovery that you use ? The right recovery is the recovery that comes with the last RUU/OTA.
The red triangle with exclamation mark is a stock recovery. Usually pressing volume+ and power will bring the menu where you can choose the update.zip.
But updating the OTA should not break at this point. I still feel the recovery used is not correct.
And when updating OTA and it reboots fills half of the bar then shows a warning usually refer to a wrong boot.img
EDIT : Here are the stock boot.img & recovery.img if you are updating from 2.09.707.1 to 2.22.707.2

Why ??
The red triangle with exclamation mark is a stock recovery:
Volume+ +power - go to recovery menu
Volume- +power - go to hboot / bootloader menu
When NOT at the red triangle with exclamation mark :
Volume+ +power - will brick your device
Volume- +power - go to hboot / bootloader menu
Volume- +power (more that 5 sec after the screen off) - will brick your device
What's the relation of this with the exclamation mark and triangle also I'm still on stock kernel but no prob ill reflash the stock one (it doesn't matter right??)
watch you backs
and keep your noses clean

don't worry about that red triangle. I just explaining things... no relation with your OTA updating process.
you shouldn't get that when the stock recovery is the correct one.
one thing to note, after the OTA installation is complete, the device will be hang at the green arrow for more than 10 mins as the OTA will patch a lot of files as this 2.09 or lower to 2.22 is a big update.

Hi...I'm new to this forum...so before asking my question...
Recently just S-Off my HTC Wildfire S A510e "Marvel"...just install CWM ad after Flashing CWM, turn off phone to go into recovery to do install CWM....just when I enter Bootloader...go down to go onto Recovery when I press the power button to select it...the phone goes to the White HTC Screen....and my screen goes black after that....and the 4 navigation keys are light up...
So does it means that the phone entered Recovery Mode and how do I solve that problem with that black screen....??

Try relocking (using rezo609's all in one tool) then try flash CWM using the same tool. If it works then test it but if it doesn't flash try reunlock using the tool and flash again. Let me know the results

Hey guys
After flashing cm7 ,(during the process i got an error which said "no space left on device"), every time that I try to start my device It'ill just stuck at boot screen.what can I do ?
ps:can't get to recovery.
Before flash while you're at CWM do wipe data, wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache and reflash cm.
I cannot Access recovery mode.!
ps:When ever I press sound down key + power It turns on(but not lcd)and charge led gets green(sth like falsh mode)
If you still can't get to Recovery after many tries, I'd advice you flash RUU... If you are S-OFF great, if not, no problem. When you are done, you can get your Root back with SimpleOneClick (My fav).

I mean software bricked, the device can end up in loop which is unrecoverable.
Like when radio flashing is interrupted.

HtC Wildfire ...its s-off ... also rooted ...
yea when i chang the factory rom to custom rom ... after instal the rom and in recovery say : no space left on device ... and after rebooting have this problem...
Your mobile is stuck in boot loop always without entering Recovery.
It is rooted but you cannot enter Recovery.
I hope somebody has a solution to your problem since you had rooted it and it has CWM Recovery earlier.
I am not sure if somebody got out of this problem, will reply if I get to know a method.
If the phone gets past the splash screen and gets to the bootanimation, you can use ADB to go into the Recovery.
Use the command
"adb reboot recovery"

How do i resolve this?
So i can use:

download.clockworkmod.com/gapps/gapps-gb-20110828-signed.zip

I assume it has something to do with my SD card, is that correct?

I should probably have mentioned before that i got this from my work already in this state.
I'm using android for the first time!
I assume the recovery file would have been on the sd card? if so its not there now.
Edit 1:
I've check over some other forums & they mention needing to create a gold card!
I don't have the gold card & when i try to make one it cant identify the CID.
Am i wasting my time with it & is this an already bricked phone?
Edit 2:
After playing around with buzz downgrade i finally recovered it! now back to a working phone!
Time to root it if possible.

The fallen android IS recovery. It just isn't showing you the menu until you push volume up.
