Came across this torn apart of xperia ion on a chinese forum. I haven't got time to translate chinese into english yet. I will do that when I have time later today.

Excellent! I'll be looking forward to seeing a translation.
Sent from Rooted LT28at with ICS.
Just use Google translate. I will say after seeing this I will for sure not be tearing one of these apart to replace a digitizer. I have had allot of devices apart but this thing looks very complicated.

A real translation would be better than a translator any day.
Looks complicated, but you never know when necessity will strike.

mic replacement
Hi,
How difficult to replace the mic of Xperia ion. My mic has problems. It gives low sound to other end during calls as if I am speaking from far side.

Is it easy to replace it?

Ok, so the the title says most of the problem.
Basically, when I got my wildfire a while back I was quite impressed with the camera, managing to take some fairly nice high quality shots.
BUT!
Ever since I rooted my phone and installed CM7.1.0.1, the camera quality has become "washy". This has not been a problem until now, as I have not had to use my camera. But yesterday I did, and the results were.... poor.
So, what I was wondering is whether or not this camera issue is due to a Hardware fault, or a software fault... should I reflash CM7.1.0.1?
Thanks in advanced.
EDIT: I will try track down some old photo's and give you a comparison of what has happened to quality.
there are some camera upgrades around that i have read but cannot find anymore if anyone could provide some links that would be much appriciated as i have a poor camera too. very dark and dull with not much definition or coulor and mainly out of focus.
and no i'm not just crap at taking photos lol i think.....

From the looks of it, I had a similar problem.
Try polishing the camera with some sort of alcohol or something similar, because the lens has some kind of protective layer and might get scratched over time.
So try to remove it, it worked for me

A shell that includes a support. I think it's a great idea, and I would like to have it, but I don't find anything similar for the Xperia Play...
They're called "kickstands" and I can't seem to find any, there are however universal stands which work on all phones and stick to existing cases. Although, they'll obviously protrude and look out of place.

Thanks for the info.
Geez, iPhone allways gets the best things...
you need the Keeep! ring, makes it easier to game on aswell as using it as a kickstand.
check youtube for keeep! demo

Just wondering how different it is from the HTC's keyboard, which also has swype inbuilt?
I used Xperia Arc I love Sony keyboard ... Unfortunately you have to use it to understand since it's different usage for each person.
I use JB, however, it doesn't work. It force closes.
It works on ICS.
feel like trying..
so in the event it screwed up, how do i revert to stock?

It will not replace HTC Keyboard you'll get an additional Xperia Keyboard just like you like Swype keyboard.
Anyone know if buying this would fix broken/non functional capacitive buttons on the captivate glide? Seems like a simple enough fix, i've honestly only worked on fixing computer my whole life and the occasional ps3 as well. cell phones are something I've never attempted so if anyone could lend a hand that'd be great. I'm sure tearing the phone apart i'd be able to figure out where it goes, i just need to know if that's the right part. would make my wife's day if she could use the buttons again! thanks in advance!

I can't comment if that piece will fix your phone or not, however in the meantime for a workaround::

that actually doesn't work on any of the newer stock ROMs that I've tested on. It was also less than helpful because it leaves a 2 pixel opening for pressing the shutter button on the camera. ha. i can get the nav bar enabled in cm10, but without camera my wife won't let me leave it installed. thanks though!
Hi All,
Anyone found these Back covers for Xperia S yet? If anyone using any of these then please upload a live photo.
I am still looking for these but not yet available in my country.
Let me know about yours.
I found these in the SONY Japanese website.

It seems to block the speaker?
Dont think those covers are for the Xperia S. it had cut outs for the speaker and second mic which aren't in the same place on the XS
I know there's no cut out for Speaker but they are listed as Xperia S accessories in SONY Japan website.
maybe its a mistake? those phone covers shown above are for the xperia v... or they are available for both phones and they just used the xperia v stock image for both. either case I haven't come across them
Those are awesome. Need to find them to buy which isn't gonna be easy.
Sent from hell using Xperia-S(atan)
The phone in the pictures is Xperia Arc S
Dude, I am also looking for this kind of Backcover but they are not available in Bangladesh :'(
