A awesome guy from sprint nexus made a flashable led package for me. I asked if I could share with the world and I will.
Make a NanDroid
I recently flashed two ROMs and tried the mod
I received a bootloop "frozen" technically..
I used this on Paranoid Android Jelly Bean
It does work but I believe it will on work on certain ROMs
This Mod lights up your LED's Via Charging or Charged
I got the original author's permission to post. Please credit garyd9 with the authorship. Without whom, we would not have the hack to fix the charging LED.
Hoang81 made the flashable zip for us.
So please thank these two guys.

Don't worry it works on VZW and I'm sure other carriers besides Sprint.

Fixed? It was never broken, nor was it ever designed to flash while the phone is charging.
I use lightflow for this. Does this do a solid light or blinking?

Glad that this stuff works for others. All this modification does is to add support for the BATTERY "virtual" LED at a lower level. AOSP (within framework.jar) already has support for using that LED if it exists. (And that code runs regardless of if the virtual LED is supported or not.)
Take care

You can change the percentage it changes/shuts off at with lightflow. I have mine orange until 97% and then turn green.

Do we have specifics of which ROMs this works on? JbSourcery and CNA don't work and I think AOKP, Paranoid Android does work.

If you left the LED solid for 10 hours a day it would last almost 14 years. So I'm gonna go with no.

Admire the effort taking for this but when I use it on 4.0.1 AR it tends to screw up and I lose my notification bar and softkeys. Good thing I have a backup of System.apk. Usually a deodexed SystemUI shouldn't have this issue. Am I missing something?

Is it all mashed together so that you can't slide to pick an option? If so then it has to do with the inverted GApps. All you need to do is take a Phone.apk (just any normal non-inverted one) from another rom and place it in /system/app and that should fix the problem.

That makes me nervous about this rom working for me or not. Does it also show you as roaming? I had that problem with ICS where I could only use 3 or 4 different roms and the rest would show that I was roaming. Never could find out why and only a couple other people even had the problem. Luckily once Jelly Bean came along I haven't had any issues *knock on wood*

I always wanted my gnex to be able to flash when receiving phone calls with the camera flash like the iPhone has as one of its built in options.I tried like a dozen play store apps that do the same thing but none of them work for my galaxy nexus, does anyone know of one that actually works or a custom rom that has this feature.I know the gnex has the notification pulse light at front but camera flash would be better to also have.
That would consume more battery than you think, also I doubt that's a sensible idea. Last thing you need is a lighthouse when someone decides to call you at 4am in the morning. Vibration was invented to counter that.

You would only turn it on as you wanted, like when out at night in loud places where is hard to hear ect, vibration only works if you have phone close to body, light doesn't make a noise like vibration can yet you can still see a call come through.

Lol, my wife has the led flash ring option on her iPhone 5, I just wanted to try an get it on my gnex but your right probably wouldn't be too practical.
I used to have flashME installed and it worked on my G-Nex GSM. I think I had 4.1 or 4.2 at the time, so I don't know if it is 4.3 compatible or not. Definitely gets your attention!
