If you're sick of Gingerbread (like CM7), there are plenty of stable and feature-ful Ice Cream Sandwich (including CM9) ROMs to try in the development forums. Aside from CM, there are also AOKP and AOSP ROMs to try. There are 4 decently stable JellyBean (including CM10) ROMs in the development forums as well, including 2 AOKP JellyBean ROMs. I strongly advise that you start by searching in the development forums yourself.
Additionally, I'm pretty sure you're posting in the wrong forum; this belongs in Q&A, not Development.

Is there any particular through which i can find all these roms for DHD?
Secondly, in most of the roms either the bluetooth is broken or the camera is buggy and I use both of these features so that's the reason why I asked for a stable rom like the cm7 because it is completely working and aa stable rom

There is a sticky at the very top of the forum that indexes all the available ROMs and links to them; doesn't get much simpler than that.
I have had no problems with either bluetooth or camera on any ICS ROMs since I first rooted my phone a month ago. JB ROMs recently got both working with minor bugs. READ the threads; they update. Each ROM OP usually includes an updated feature list. Then read at least the last 10 pages or so of the thread.

Back up your current ROM with nandroid and flash it. "Stable" and "good battery life" mean different things to everyone; I felt it was plenty stable, but see for yourself. If you don't like it, just put your backup back.

Most of the roms seem to have retained Sense 4. And the Sense roms seem to be updated more frequently.
I like the new Sense but want to try something different. I'm coming from Android Revolution which I like very much.
Want a ROM with lots of improvements to optimize performance, smoothness and speed, based on the latest ICS version, with bone-stock APKs and no bloatware.
Suggestions? What are my best couple options even....?
I'd recommend LeDrOiD and Android Revolution HD, both are updated frequently. But since HTC have not released any new software lately, there isn't much for the developers to do.
Both ROM can have Sense removed, LeDrOiD is easier in this regard.
It seems kernel is currently the hot development area.
Edit, posted irreverent info.
Thanks! I was asking about ROMS not Launchers though.
Ideally I would like a sense-less ROM that came with the stock ICS launcher (even over Apex or Nova).

try JDROID rom then or check the rom thread and see if they give the sense-less option in aroma installer..most roms now do that anyway. or just use rom-cleaner no-sense version and it does the business for you anyway

I can't claim to have given it a thorough testing, but the CM9 build available on the MoDaCo forums seemed pretty stable to me.

just by reading the changelog for me there was a few options there missing..plus the closed source attitude kinda put me off that rom anyway of Trips..the guys in the development section here are doing a far great work and are alot more helpful...so i would wait on those guys to get it up and running
I thought camera and wifi hotspot weren't working on CM9 - I use both every day.
Camera worked for me. Hotspot I didn't try, but it's the only thing listed as not working on Trip's build of CM9

Fair enough, and I don't disagree much. In Trips defense, he seems to have a rather large following singing his praises.
I only installed it for testing out GPS. I've gone back to ARHD with my own tweaks to trimming Sense.

No one is saying anything bad about him, just the guys here are open with the code that makes anyone able to help, stuff gets done faster.
Back on topic, with leedroid, pkmn and arhd(I think) you can remove sense and all its widgets and run any launcher you like.

Hey.. I've lurked around the site for a few months now and feel I have a decent grasp on flashing Roms. I'm currently running CM 7.2, but was curious if there are any ICS Roms here that are as stable?
What do the masses here recommend? I've briefly ran LC's ICS Rom, but had a couple issues with rebooting while writing emails so I went back to CM 7.
Thanks

Much like yourself I'd been using BackIce for a few months and loved it;
but now I've changed to aospX and it is a worthy replacement.
I tried IceCold and it wasn't for me, just not fluid or light enough.
Definately try aospX. It's stable and mature being so close to aosp.

I noticed. But that doesn't give you the right to bend the rules. Use your creativity.
If you want to help, help answering user questions instead of creating a thread that has been closed all too often. And that way you can get your ten posts.

I just rooted my DINC and have it S-OFF running TWRP recovery. I am interested in what everyone feels is the best Jellybean ROM for the DINC2 or if it is going to be best to just run ICS.
Jellybean has bugs in it that make me go to ICS. Stick with ICS. If you are looking for some ROMs.... Check out Aeroevan's ROMs. Or MIUI, UKB, etc... Just look around the DINC2 development forum

I've been running Aeroevan's CM10 for a while now, and I don't feel like it really has any significant disadvantages to ICS. It certainly feels like it runs smoother to me. It is also getting active development, and to me that counts for a lot.
I'm currently running Mimicry which is ICS, was on Aerovan's Unofficial CM10 before that. I absolutely loved CM10 and it was easily the smoothest ROM I've run on my Incredible 2, even smoother than Mimicry with the V6 Supercharge (which doesn't seem to do anything, at least in my experience). CM10 doesn't have FFC or Camcorder working though, and there's a sound issue where audio will only come out of the phone speaker (not the one on the back) until you plug headphones in and unplug. Only reason why I'm back on ICS.
Isn't there a rule against best ROM threads now? Even if there isn't, there's already about 20 in this forum, no need to open new ones for every possible situation.

The development forum is full of roms, it is best policy to sift through responses and replies in those threads and see what you will get and what you won't get from other experiences. But I will chime in and after having run this for the past 3 days, I am pleasantly pleased.

Hi,
I noticed the last thread about stable roms was in November, and I am new to picking roms as my last phone I just used CM.
I am wanting to know what the most stable/recommended ICS rom is, and the same for Jelly Bean if any exist?
Phone hasn't been rooted or anything yet, so hopefully something with a clear guide also.
My opinion, the most stable jelly bean is VJ CM10.1 | Jelly Bean 4.2.1 - v4.5
cheers
It says its pre alpha? Are all the Jelly Bean ones quite new?
If this your first time, try some uncomplicated roms first. Like froyo roms.

CM7.2 would be a good place to start.

I've done complicated roms before, its just I want a rock solid stable rom, but would prefer ICS or Jelly Bean over GB for the performance and looks. But at the minute Cm7.2 is my safety net if I can't find anything that is definitely stable before then.
There's really only one 4.0 ROM for Desire with working everything on XDA and that is the modded Qiss Rom here:

I don't see how anyone could have a problem with asking advice. Most roms either included a non updated not working list, or don't have one at all. The last thread of this type was in November. I don't see any harm, but w/e really, I have my answer now anyway.

I remember seeing one much more recently, and the mod post asking that any further "which Rom is the best" type threads reported"
Sent from my HTC Desire using Tapatalk 2
The reason why the moderation team generally dislike best rom threads is because everyone uses their phones in a different way so what rom works well for one may not be the same for others. They're to many variables to say one rom is hands down the BEST rom. Last a lot of times these threads turn into flame wars between fan boys of different devs.
Your best experience is going to come from trying a few roms out and deciding for yourself what works best for you. Enjoy the journey instead of just trying to get to the end.
Since you also stated you have already gotten your answer this will most likely fall on deaf ears.

"Glitch Free" is a relative term. All 4.2.x Roms have some glitches, but there are many glitches that I overlook because they don't affect me.
That being said, the best way to find out which Rom you want to use is to try them out! The three that I always cycle through are:
LiquidSmooth (this is my base, I flash others to compare it to this)
Slim Bean
Carbon Rom
Now there are other ones that people have said good things about, including (but not limited to):
Deviant Xone
PAC Rom
Hope this helps, even though I basically just replicated the front page of the Original Android Sub-forum.

You can't really have a "best" ROM. The effectiveness of a ROM depends on the user. Every user has different needs. If you're looking for the most stable ROM out there, your best bet is staying on stock touchwiz. If you're looking to try out AOSP, you'll have to flash a couple of ROMs. I run Slim Bean build 3. The newest build is on Linux 3.4 and I have found bad battery life. Build 3 was released only a couple weeks ago. Using dkp kernel and Slim build 3, I have found these to be my "best" setup. I am finding very little bugs and I have great battery life and performance. You'll have to flash a few ROMs and kernels before you find out what works best for you. Have fun flashing! Good luck mate

If you're asking for a "best" ANYTHING, you should think twice before posting. As said, this is all relative. It depends on your usage, your definition of "stability", and what you consider to make something "good".
When I say the "best" I mean exactly what I said. What is the best to you and there are many ROMs that are very stable. But what's the most stable version of that ROM.
