What app does everyone recommend for the s3, voltage control doesn't seem like it'll work very good but want to know what everyone else is using.

I've heard good things about setcpu but voltage control works really well for me, though i don't really mess with voltage settings. The clock throttling works great.
OK I'm using VC and also have used setcpu but wasn't sure if there was one that's best used with the s3. Thanks for your responses

It's awesome.
I've been having issues that the Max freq goes up to 1.8 if I have set at 1.5 on its own.

I believe system tuner has a tab labeled voltages, you can go in and lower them. Just a word of caution tho, take it easy when you undervolt, doing so to much can cause serious issues. Dont set the settings to stick on boot until your sure your phone can handle it.

I know it creates problems with CM9. Not sure if it also applies to other ICS builds or leaks.

Ya I was using setcpu on stock-rooted EL29. I also found out ICS has a feature that works like setcpu, so ya don't use it on ICS cause it will bugout and crash.
Helpful tip --
If you are looking for another app that save up little more battery life you could check out "JuiceDefender"

What is the best govenor to set if you're trying to save the most battery life?

Use conservative. It scales up the CPU slower, so you'll end up saving more battery in the long run. I've only noticed very minimal lag between the two.
Anyone else have good advice for it?

Is there a app that can make widgets that are set to certain freqs? Like one with ondemand 192-1.5 and another performance 1.5? That is click and change instead of going into app or performance settings.
Damn that would be sweet... I'm also curious.

What I did is have setcpu added profiles to it for the speed I wanted then ran tasker and setup widgets that I can check to increase my speed when I want or decrease it too

yes exzatly, iam at 192-1.5 onDemand (or badass if im using kko) but when i play Deadzone i pretty much max it out to where it doest reboot. performance 1.6 or 1.7.
There is one in the play store called quick CPU control.. There is a free and a pro version.. You can create profiles and corresponding widgets.. Ivtried the free version and when I use one of the widgets then check my CPU it shows that nothing has changed.. So I have no idea if it's even working.. But u should try it.

Have you tried reducing the animation in the developer option? Overclocking is not recommended if you only want to reduce lock screen lag. Try changing the animation to ×0.5 that should help

Try cm 10.1 and redpill kernel if u want to test how beast device is with oc my device managed to score +5200 points in 3dmark with 1,8 ghz cpu/800mhz gpu, it just needs huge undervolt to get temperature stay in control.

Best tip?
Don't.
on a quad core @1.6 GHz I suggest to underclock.
Wanted to actually keep the touchwiz based rom (omega) so I can still use the spen features, do you happen to know any other ROMS that are touchwiz based & have settings to overclocking?

Your Best option for over clocking try this kernel
2 GHZ....
http://www.note2forum.com/forum/int...7-thor-thor-kernel-n7100-n7105-shv-e250s.html
But overclocking alone won't get your phone any faster...
try freezing unnecessary apps etc.,
