Here is my version of a custom status bar with more color on the icons and larger battery icons with 1% increments.
I did not create the icons got them from various themes and threads already out there.
Icons Changed:
All battery with varying colors and percent, including charging battery icons.
Silent/Ringer icon now has red line through it.
Bluetooth icons are now purple.
Wifi icons start and red with 1 bar, then 2 bars is blue the purple for 3 and 4.
Vibrate icon is purple.
New image/notify icon is blue.
Eye icon is multi color.
Airplane icon is changed.
Alarm icon is changed/multi color.
Signal icons are 1 bar red, 2 bars yellow, 3 bars blue, 4 bars purple, 5 bars green.
NOTE: this is based on an AT&T leaked LH1 rom. I
I decompiled the stock AT&T rom with apk manager and make the changes myself rather than the quick and dirty just copy in new icons.
If you use this on ANOTHER CARRIER most likely your 3g/4g icons will not work correctly.
Use at your own risk, but make a backup first with cwm backup. I also recommend you manually copy a backup of SystemUI.apk to either SD of external SD, so you can manually restore if need.
It is based on a deodexed version of the rom but should work if you get rid of or rename the systemui.odex when applying but manually application will be necessary if you are odexed as the cwm script only copies the systemui.apk.
There are two versions below, first is the .apk by itself that you can copy into system/app and change permissions to match all other .apk's (rw r r ) and reboot to recovery and clear cache and dalvik cache and reboot.
I did this with root-explorer.
Second method,
is to flash the cwm .zip, also clear cache and dalvik cache (b4 installing patch) and reboot.
You need to be rooted to use these.
Here are some pictures to determine if you even want to use them:

Not exactly a theme but this is my modified systemui and framework-res for more colorfull std status icons like i used to have on my sgs i.
The reason both are modified is that many of the icons have been moved from the framework-res to the new systemui.apk.
You need to be rooted and install normally with adb or root explorer, then reboot.
The framework-res goes in /system/framework
the systemui goes in /system/app
WARNING this is FOR xwke2 ONLY!!!
changes
colorfull and larger signal icons ... 1 bar is red, 2 is yellow 3-4 are green
more colorfull silent and vibrate icons
battery icons with color ie lower level is red, medium is yellow higher are green with percentages.
more colorfull wifi icon with same red,,yellow, green
i didnt draw these icons i got them from an older firmware i had from my SGS 1. Sorry if I don't know who did them and I cannot give you credit.
Also the battery icons are the stock. 5% increments.
Use at your own risk.. But works fine in my phone with ke2 firmware.
Note: framework needs to be unziped.. as it was over 8 meg and it wouldnt let me upload it as an .apk

Super. Thanks.
Can I just ask, did you simply extract, change some png files, then zip, or did you decompile/recompile?
Been trying too make changes to my SystemUI.apk to no avail, using decompile/recompile method (which I believe you need to do when changing any of the xml files)...
Any way to change battery to 1% increments.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
short answer..
1. no i dd not decompile and compile.. yes you need to do this to change the xml files..
2. no i cannot change to 1% increments you need to change by decompiling and recompiling to do this.. much more difficult.. i did try to take someones who had 1% circular battery and add my icons and it didnt work .. the battery never chnges.. have a feeling it was done by the other guy incorrectly.
x2 Super. Thanks. Y(^o^)Y

@lgkhan:
Why don't you use the online kitchen to insert the battery percentage in 1% steps and then make the Icons etc. with the result of the kitchen?
http://uot.dakra.lt/
Tried a few different methods including that one. on my stock non deodexed Rom they don't work. Phone comes up with broken or unknown battery icon. Even after clearing cache.
also kitchen doesnt work on ie8 ... javascript errors.
Super. Thanks.
Hi guys,
i`ve taken Rawat`s mod and changed the color to blue.

In the zip attached you find a zip, containing SystemUI.apk, framework-res.apk, the background ive used to take the pictures, and some custom icons for the app drawer i made some day.
PS: Files are for KE7
have fun
I don't usually like themes, but this looks pretty nice.
used the notification apk's very nice not sure about rest yet will prob do tomorrow
yes very nice well done
looks great!
looks pretty nice
Nice notification bar area
If you're doing somer modding on this, can you make the power icons in the notification pulldown that are not chosen (no blue line beneth them) grey?
So that it becomes easier to see which icons (wifi, gps etc) are enabled/disabled..
Thanks for your work, it is good to see some themes for this device

For VR1.1, you need to use compatible themes. You can make the theme compatible by copying the META-INF folder from the original VR1.1 file (use 7zip) into that of the themed file, and trying it

Tried it, but does not work. No more FCs of all the apps after reboot, but status bar does not appear.

This is a pretty cool themed version of Talk for the reason that it's never been done before..We've made transparent versions in the past but the chat screen was still just inverted due to some smali code but I figured it out!.. I released it in the Fascinate section already and I also did the GB version for non-ICS users... I don't have a GNex so TravP tested it for me and it installed perfectly...For my Inverted Version, I made it have a Holo Theme rather than Blacked Out...
I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOU OR YOUR PHONE
Installation Guide:
FOLLOW PRECISELY
1. http://bit.ly/403TalkNOmanifestEdit Download this zip file and flash it in recovery or rom manager... once the device reboots, check your talk.apk and make sure it's working.. it'll be partially themed. If so, reboot your phone again.
2. Once the phone reboots, download this http://bit.ly/403TalkTransparent for Transparent or this http://bit.ly/403TalkHoloThemed for Holo Themed and flash it in recovery or rom manager.. Once it reboots you should have a fully transparent GTalk.apk or a Holo Themed Gtalk.apk
3. If you lose Talk at any point or just wanna go back to stock, download this http://bit.ly/stock403Talk .. it's the stock Talk.apk and flash it
This install method is the only way I got it to work and credits to TravP for collaborating with me on getting this to install due to the weird GApps issues when we touch the manifest.
*known issues*
Only thing I can find is the notification pop up menu.. it's white with black text. We're still looking into this one...

Is it force closing upon start up or on a certain function?.. try changing permissions on talk.apk.. sometimes it installs r-rx-rx or whatever ... see if that works... if not, i gotta figure out if a lib file is needed for certain roms...

It's transparent everything except chat msg. every msg has white background, and text is white, so I cant read it... Desire V (stock ROM ICS4.0.3)
Okay peeps...
This is an Orange mod for the slickmod supreme ROM. I don't like the Green colors, so I changed most of what I know how to...
And that Includes...
1) Notification Pulldown - The lidroid toggles remain the same green. I don't know how to change those.
2) Icons for signal, wifi, etc... - See attached thumbnail.
3) Battery - I like this one.
4) ICS Animations.
5) Overscroll glow changed to Orange. Menu and Popup glow orange slightly.
6) And lastly, Boot animation. My favorite.
7) UNFORTUNATELY THE 4G ICON STAYS Green. I can't figure that out. ROM Toolbox has the option of flashing an orange one, if you have the app.
8) Plus something else, I can't remember.
REMEMBER: Flash at your own risk.
I do this as a hobby, and cannot provide tech support if something goes wrong. I have tested this on my own device and it works beautifully.
Nandroid Backup first, if you must....
INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS:
1) Nadroid Backup
2) Wipe Cache x 3
3) Wipe Dalvik Cache x 3
4) Install zip.
5) Reboot.
6) Sit back and enjoy. Remember the first boot takes a little while longer since the cache and Dalvik were wiped. Subsequent boots will be shorter, much shorter.

Just extract that apk and copy it to system/framework folder. Fix permissions and reboot.
