If you aren't running a custom Rom. Try kies to force the update

Forget OTA, just use KIES. Just don;t forget to enable USB debugging.

i saw on youtube a guy had a lg..... runing 2.2 and was able to take a screenshot using the power button and home i think ...
is there a specific app etc in lg or samsung phones which allow you to do this ?
if i were to sideload this component would it work or is something like framework needed ?
what equalizer apps are there for 2.2 which raise the sound ? when i downgraded i noticed some of the apps eg cloud skipper said it was a 2.3 feature or something ...
thank you !!
Re: Equalizer app and android SDK
Why do you need androidSDK's for?
If you need a screenshot app, just use aScreenshot
For equalizers, install Poweramp from the market
Hope i could help!
I am running Odin rom and running the version 4.03 of ICS. I seen on another board a download to get the new google music player. I download it and installed it and I can no longer connect to the internet with 3g. I am only able to connect to Wifi. I tried deleting the app out. I called up sprint and worked with them for 45 mins did profile, firmware and prl updates and still no luck.
Hi, my old HTC Sensation running Ginger Bread supports Flash videos in web-sites, my new Galaxy Nexus (and also my Samsung Tab 2) does not
Is there a solution? I looked in the Play store for Flash Player but couldn't find anything.
One reason I refused to go with the Apple crowd is Flash support, and now Google have gone that way too?????

Adobe Flash player is not supported for newer android versions than 4.0.4 but you can download flash player from internet and then install it and you have working flash player on 4.2, 4.2.1

It's not in Play store because it is not supported for newer than Android ICS 4.0.4
So that's why you have to download it from internet:
put it to your Galaxy Nexus via USB Cable or download it via Galaxy Nexus's browser then install File Manager e.g. ES File Manager, open it: and scroll down and press Flash-Player.apk and the press install

Thank you forum, once I learnt from you that I could do this via a PC download, copy/paste to phone and install from their I was able to do it fine,
will now do the same on my Galaxy Tab 2 10.1
A few months ago the 4.2.2 sw was pushed to my wifi only note 8.0 tablet and now the xfinity tv player ap no longer comes up as compatible which bugs the hell out of me since it still works on the 4.1 versions even with the newest version of the app. It also works on other 4.2.2 running devices! So Ive been trying to find a newer working apk file to use so I can sideload it somehow. My device is unrooted and I'd prefer to keep it that way even though im sure this would be easlier if I rooted it.
I have a Note 4 and a One plus one. I have been trying to download movies that I have purchased and I keep getting the error "couldn't fetch license error 1".
It doesnt allow to me download or even watch the movie on either my Note 4 or my One plus.
I can watch them on my laptop and I even tried it on my Ipad 2 and it works fine.
Both the phones are rooted and at this time I have no plans to unroot, I really only wanted to have the movies for my flight tomorrow.
So has anyone else come across this error?
Stock rooted?
Google Play Movies will stream and should playback from download also if you're on the stock-ish ROMs, even with permissive kernel like Beastmode. I'm on MM deodexed PD1 and only had to delete /system/vendor/lib/liboemcrypto.so Same was true since OJ6 update in Lollipop.
You can rename the .so but it doesn't seem to have any purpose but to inhibit rooted playback? I had renamed it, factory reset and updated Google Play Movies and the file had somehow got restored to original name and blocked streaming. Dunno what happened but renamed again and streaming is playing again.

This was the problem /system/vendor/lib/liboemcrypto.so
I'm using the MM deodxed DPD1 rom. I didn't see anything in the thread about root being an issue with play movies and it's only movies, the book, apps and music is not effected.
I changed the name on that file and I am able to stream.
I figured it had to be something with root do to it trying to check the license.
I appreciate the response Samep. You to as well Ianmb.
