I have this strange problem of not able to Initialize Whatsapp application on any AOSP roms.. i have tried many AOSP roms but issue remains same..
however same whatsapp works fine on any AOKP roms..
- Once i tried chaning the Radio somehow it worked.. but after that i flashed a different AOSP rom and it hasnt worked since then..
- I have tried all possible ways of flashing these, super wipe, factory reset... almost everything
- sometimes even USB tethering doesnt work on AOSP roms...
any idea what might me the issue, pls help.

No. Don't you think we would have had it a long time back then, if it were so simple? SFM is just that. Its based on the HTC Salsa Stock ROM, (The first release was based on the Wildfire S ROM, which had even more things not working) and you can see the results for yourself.
One more question... i installed jokersdroid 4.2 rom long ago, and i didnt have data connection. So i changed my rom to wildpuzzle, then cm etc. (everything was fine with data conn.) And now i flashed this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=906557 (rooted), and the same problem appears... i tried to flash different radios, but still no change, i still cant activate my data connection. I really like stock roms, so i wanna keep this one... can you help me on this?

The custom ROMs include your operators APN by default (i.e. it's pre-configured). This is not the case in the Stock ROM (Since its untouched), so, you will have to add the APNs yourself, after which, I am pretty sure mobile data should work.

Honestly, I don't think this is ROM related, but, network issues. Were you getting such issues when you were on the Stock ROM (At that time when data wasn't working for you?).
Anyway, seems like the 2.34 Safe Flash RUU is causing you all sorts of problems (Which shouldn't really, because both WildPuzzle and JokerDroid use this very ROM as its base), so you might as well switch and install the WWE 2.22.405.1 Safe Flash RUU from here

i solved the problem with the signav and data conn... it seems it was all about nfinity kernel... strange...

I have flashed different roms like a thousand thimes now in the past couple of years.
But lately i wanted to flash back to cm 7.2 and so i did.
Did full whipes multiple times even the efs whipe and the g2 super whipes.
But somehow im having wifi issues.
Ill try to explain:
Wifi will connect and get correct ip adres.
Opening the internet browser and typing a url will work but it takes a lot of time (like it has problems connecting to a website)
Trying to setup a google account will also generate errors.
Before flasing to cm 7.2 i was on a sense rom (Rooted)
I tried different cm 7.2 and different cm 7.2. spinoffs but im still having te same issue.
Also tried a sense rom now and same issue persist...
Any help would be appreciated.
I have a htc vision and currently i have the vision glite 2.01 rom on it.
I'm lost.. what can i do?

I have big problem with Wifi, Bluetooth & GPS on my phone.
10 days ago, my phone work very great with ViperX 3.3.3 (stock kernel of the ROM). But, when i trying download the Maps offline via Wifi Network (5% downloaded), wifi automatic turn-off, i try turn on it in the Settings, it show 'error' message (Bluetooth & GPS also not work, cant turn on it). While Mobile network work fine.
I was flash more ROM another (stock kernel), & custom kernel (include module), with full wipe & erase cache. But still not fix it
Is this a hardware issue? Can i fix it for myself? HTC's service in my country is bad i dont want send my phone for them.

However, is a kernel issue and i don't think this is an hardware issue.
But is strange...
I tried more rom ViperX, ARHD, Balde, MIUI, ... (all full wipe, erase cache & stock kernel), i also tried flash a custom kernel (include module) when stock kernel dont fix my problem, but still not fixed!
And, i think if it is a kernel issue, i have that problem when my phone boot a first. As i said, i have problem when my phone using normal (with wifi, bluetooth, gps on), after i downloaded a Map offline 5%, all is down

And mobile network, 3G work fine. If is kernel issue, mobile network fail too, i think so!
Usually, the error message of wifi, is a problem with kernel because i had this error yesterday with my rom for evo 3D.
I reflashed the kernel and all works fine.
So, it's really strange that may be an hardware issue, did you try to flash a CM based rom? Or AOKP?
And did you try to open maps app?
I tried this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2013506, but still not work. Why do you think CM based rom or AOKP can fix this problem? i have not tried it!

I had a perfectly working Galaxy Nexus running CM10.x, which I updated to a CM11 nightly. This worked great for a week or so and then the camera and gallery started FCing. After several resets, restores, newer/older nightly installs, nothing changed. Tried all possible combinations of new/old Gapps, but still no luck. I tried different ROMs - PA, stock 4.3 and some others, but nope. I even tried Ubuntu Touch and even that couldn't access the camera. This is when I was pretty convinced that the camera module itself must have died.
My questions:
What killed the camera? Is it possible that a bad ROM could have done it?
Is it possible to fix this via software?
I can try and get it repaired locally, but I just want to know if anything can be done at home.

A ROM wouldnt just kill the camera over time. It would have not worked right after the ROM was installed. So I doubt it was a ROM. I would do a full reset. Not just a normal factory reset but flash the factory image and see if it fixes it. If it doesn't then most likely it's a hardware issue.

I've used the phone for over a year without any issues with several kernels and ROMs before and the camera worked just fine.
Yes, I've done a complete clean up - I wiped the whole phone and memory (using the fastboot -w option) and installed different ROMs and even a different OS (Ubuntu Touch), but the camera issue persists.
I believe it's hardware issue, but I just wanted to know if anyone's faced a similar problem.

Yup. I believe that's the exact post I referred to when I did it.
It even lost root during this process (of course) and I had to do it again - something I hadn't done in almost two years.
Since it was a spare phone, there wasn't any useful data on it. I backed up a few pictures and completely wiped it clean. No luck.
I'll add that the issue is only with the camera. Some apps FC, some apps (such as Camera+) give a message saying it was unable to connect to the camera or something. I believe the Gallery also FCs because it uses the camera at some point. All other apps work perfectly fine.

Usually if the phone has any issues at all, that process fixes them. And if it doesn't, then there is usually something wrong with the hardware. I wouldn't think the problem was brought on by installing a ROM or kernel though.
I think it's related to the kernel that you're using

hi guys,
my problem is a little difficult to describe.
After flashing a custom ROM (RR, CM, Vanir, Slim, LiquidSmooth...) KitKat or Lollipop , everything seems to work normal, but after unlocking display the brightness is about 5-10%, It is very difficult to see something on the display. The only way is to reboot into recovery and restore a nandroid.
This issue appears with installed mods just like xposed modules and other stuff, BUT it also appears without them (completely fresh install - ROM and GAPPS).
Curiously no problem with stock ROMs like KitSlim, Dstriker, PrivacyGuard and RockZ1K.
This is very ANNOYING!
Anybody the same issue or an idea how to solve it???
