Rooting the HTC EVO after Official 2.2 update

i know that as of right now there is no way of doing this according to all the sites im just making this thread in hopes of when it is able to be done some one can show me how i know you guys are working hard on it .... hope it come soon

Before somebody rudly flames you Im ganna put it to you nicely. Like somebody already said there is a thread that covers this. And once a root is found, it will be explained in every detail on how to do so. So no worries this thread will probably be shut down, and from now on you can keep posted with the sticky at the top.

Creating another thread doesn't solve the problem
Learn to use the report system. Press the triangle with "!" and choose post moving.
Add a good explanation to wake our lazy moderator. It seems I'm the only one doing it.
This is the one and only solution, creating new threads makes it worse. If you are lazy enough to reply, you are lazy enough to report!!​

[Q] Problems with LiquidSmooth? Possible bugs?

1. I made it so that it should show a bar that would let me change the brightness on the notifications tab. The thing you pull down with the time and your on/off toggles. (I have it turned on but it won't show anymore, I turning it off and rebooting and turning it on but it still won't show.)
2. Apps randomly crashing and it saying "Messenger has stopped working" or whatever.
And videos take forever to load, and sometimes when skipping it says "Gallery has stopped working", before I used LiquidSmooth the battery drained because of the Samsung stuff but now the battery is the same or a bit better but I have problems I didn't have before?

You'd get more help in the thread itself then opening a new one here..

Someone doesn't know the rules , I'm not allowed to post in development threads until I have 10 posts. And I can't post more than a post every 5 minutes because I have to be confirmed by a moderator :|.

PM the dev. Whining because you broke something in the Q&A forum is considered bad manners. Telling experienced users they do not know the rules is also frowned upon.
Try a different rom if the one you are using does not work for your needs. This is not a difficult concept. The are several flawless roms out there. Anything the deviant team (DJ or Evil) has out works great.

Reflash rom dont forget to wipe.. also fix permissions so :

Flash rom
Fix permissions..

Back it up, I'm not whining about anything. I'm just asking a simple question. If you cannot be mannerly and kind about it, I suggest you don't bother posting on the thread. And if he/she knew the rules he/she wouldn't have posted his/her ignorant remark stating to post on the development thread. That surely doesn't show their experienced either.

I was just showing this to my husband and explaining what I think happens....
It's probably people using the app because on the regular webpage the sticky threads are obvious and right at the top when you open the forum but on the app they are hidden in another tab.
I think people would probably stick to a visible thread if there was one....took me a while to figure out the hidden sticky thing...
Oh well. I don't suppose they're going to change the app...

I know... Right?! It's kinda ironic that site full of devs and we can't get a decent mobile app version. Don't get me wrong... It's not horrible but it certainly is lacking in some areas. My guess is someone is being stepped all over in development (meaning various developers with hands in the pot) but I don't know for sure.

Evil1art needs your help

His name is very well known to us all as one of the BEST developers around. Not taking from other devs...but this guy is magic.
It seems XDA has pulled his RT status over a minor infraction....and now he cant post roms, updates, etc.
A petition was started on S4 forums. Go over there and say ur piece. We cant loose this guy.
Im typing this post with NO influence from anyone. I just want to help a guy out that gives us awesome roms, themes, tweaks, etc FOR FREE!!

From wut I read in the thread a dude told Evil that if he didn't apply the mods he wanted into the rom that he wouldn't donate to Evil. Evil told him hes not his rom whore and hopes he chokes. Told him he didn't need his donation

I don't really think its any of our places to pry into that. At least not publicly.... I couldn't see any good coming out of it as too many people would be inclined to take sides and start flaming.

Please spend 2 seconds to google Recognized Developer XDA. It requires the developer to fill out the application and agree to the Code of Conduct. Petitioning the moderators will have a negative result on the decision of the Developer Committee that reviews the application.
Code of Conduct terms are also required for RT and RC status. All RTs and RCs were informed that if they violate the rules and CoC they will lose their title for a defined period. We have rules here for a reason and expect all title holders to set an example of how to follow those rules. Also members are warned before an infraction occurs and are well aware of the rules they are breaking. If they say otherwise they are not stating the whole truth. Just like the RT/RC/RD's Moderators are also bound by these rules and Code of Conduct. Violations of that result in moderators being removed from their position. The rules are there for a reason, to keep some semblance of order on a site with over 5 million members.
