Hi. I have some albums on my phone I would like to delete and cannot figure it out, even with google. They are the instant upload and then another with the same instant upload circle thing in the bottom left corner. I'd really like them gone and don't want it to happen anymore. Can anyone help? I was having the same issue and the only thing I was able to do was change the view. I am using the stock gallery and if you touch the menu button, select "view by" and then select "content in device." I hope this helps some.

There's an option in the camera settings to save to external SD. (Assuming you're on stock Samsung ROM).

No problem. Any TouchWiz based ROM should have the stock camera and it should be there. CM10/AOKP ROMs do not have this option yet.
I need some rooting info. I haven't yet done anything to my phone as of yet. I understand there is a way to root without tripping the counter and if you do a way to reset the counter. My first question is there a way to reset the modified tag or will it revert when returned to stock? And second one is will flashing stock back onto the phone for warranty purposes or whatever trip the counter? I'm sure these have both been addressed and I am still searching.

Flashing back to stock will not trip the meter. An app on the market, Triangle away will reset your meter (use it right before flashing stock, while the phone is still rooted). There is a no trip method to root, using Odin, in the development sub forum stickies.

I think I'm about ready to take the plunge on rooting this new phone.

Theres a little pink bunny beating on a big bass drum. The faster he beats the more electricity your battery puts out. When he gets tired you plug your phone up so he can rest. Yesterday I deleted a large amount of pictures, many appear to have been the silly emoticons available on Facebook messenger.
Can anyone advise how to repair this? I do not want free games and tried deleting this but no joy.

To each their own.... I never delete... Not enough space used up to worry about... And can always unfreeze for whatever reason. ?
And I personally never tell people to delete system apps... Just freeze, in case they have issues, or delete the wrong thing, or want to take an ota later and the missing app stops them.
But that's just me. ?

I've never thought of it that way, because f*ck OTAs. They new stuff comes quicker here.

I don't disagree! I've never taken an ota on anything but my N7 the first day I got it. Lol
But I've seen enough "help I accidentally deleted my phone app" or whatever posts... And really most system apps take very little space.
I'm always standing just to safe side of the line. ?

Not jacked too hard. I'd call this one solved.
Has anyone come up with a good reliable way to swap between IME depending whether the S-pen is inserted or not without root? I want to use SwiftKey or Samsung while the S-pen is away and Google handwriting when it's out. I was really hoping Samsung might have added something to deal with this but apparently not, I don't want to root yet so the root solutions are off the table, otherwise this would be easy.
I have a way using note buddy and taskr I'll find it and post the steps here....

I think that method also requires root to work properly, but I may be wrong.

Hello. I wanted the pre-loaded HD photos and videos of Sony Xperia X, not the wallpapers and lockscreens, but the ones which are visible in Album.
I got new phone and I just checked the Album quickly, and then I did Factory Reset, I assumed that those media files won't be deleted, my bad! But now I need them. I checked online and couldn't find. Can someone please upload it or give me any links to download it? I remember that there were 2 videos for sure and some 7-8 photos.
And are there any pre-loaded music files too?

I don't know how did i get it but it wasn't there before.After purchasing device then 2nd day it i noticed .
Did u test it on full brightness though? & on black display.

No i just got this devie some days ago .Everything stock not even upgraded to nougat .Even I browse through pics in gallery which are horizontal the light is still pretty much visible there.

I just ran diagnostics full brightness. nothing. Only a slight a bit brighter than the rest line on top which is almost non visible to my eye.

Im a real big stock android fan, and so i also really like it to have softkeys.
Now, i will be upgrading to the Lineage OS for our device when it comes out of the alpha, but i would really like to have a navbar with that.
Can anyone make another thread to show us how to do it? You can just reply to this message too.
But just make kind of a tutorial, do i have to root, or not?

If you want to get a real navbar you will need root. There are some apps that allow the navbar with just a click like this one https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fatedevgroup.softkeyenabler or you could do it the hard way by editing the build.prop but there's a higher chance of messing something up.
Just go to /system/build.prop file and add "qemu.hw.mainkeys=1" without the quotes.. Every phone has a built in Nav bars

Thanks, I haven't tried this app before, but I did try a similar app. They're all right, but the only problem is they cover a part of the screen. They are not part of the system. And that's what I'm after. But thanks anyways man!

Watch closely on where he goes. And there are different tutorialson youtube. One of em will work for you depending on the version.
