Keyboard issues - Xperia Play Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey xda
I don't know if anyone else has this issue or even cares but I use perfect keyboard and my keyboard won't click. None of the installed keyboards have clicks and they're set to make noises but there's none. Hopefully someone knows a fix.

I can see them and reply in them, you might need to wipe app data.

You guys can just hit the refresh button on the bottom of the screen too if you don't want to re configure the entire application
just saying...
OMG this worked!

Getting S Voice on the Epic Touch.

I tried it but my system app folder only has 14 megs if space and the file is 30 megs. So, anyone know how to change the size of the folder?

Not that I know of, I don't think its possible. You'll have to delete some stuff to make room. Things like the wallpaper APK's if you don't use. The touchwiz social things, stock widgets etc. There is plenty you can remove that you probably never use.

I didn't even put it in the system folder. Installed as a normal app and all works

Same same, and it works great just don't try to change the "Hi Galaxy" line. If you did that, then uninstall and re-install.
I hope there's more cool apps from the gs3 that I can benefit from. Installed and worked for me the first time

i kind of have to agree. its pretty much the same as voice commands already except there is a voice that talks back. however, the talking voice only works on occassions for me on top of it FC and/or lagging. and i've tried every install method possible, it just doesnt seem to like my phone. plus i've noticed it drains the heck out of my battery.

It was wise marketing/defensive move by Samsung. Now a sales person can say if you only want an iPhone because of SIRI you can check out the galaxy s3 as it has more extensive voice commands over other Android phones.

Looks pretty nice..I have it on the JB leak
Trying it out, as of right now I still prefer swype beta, but getting used to it.

I find the swiping predictions to be SLIGHTLY more accurate (and how cool is the blue text overlay??) But the main improvement is that regular typing is completely viable at the same time!
Also changing and editing your sentences is less headache inducing
You guys are welcome! I was so happy when i got it working on my M as i was really getting effing sick of swype. Its predictions are so terrible a lot of times

Can someone test something for me? Is this keyboard filtering curse words?? It won't remember ****ing, ****, etc...

BTW one of the languages in the settings is emoticons....how do you get them to work??

Ultimately just find another way to say something with a little bit more articulation. Profanity is evidence of a weak mind expressing itself with force.

BTW the trick to get around this is to go into input settings and put the words into "personal dictionary".... works like a charm after that

Not only does it filter truck driver's curse words, but it also keeps you safe from terrible words like "nude" or "naked" (maybe you meant Magged, Bagged, Narked, Baled, Baffled, Balls (!), Haled, Nagged, Mashed, Balled, Badged, Balked or Basked).
You get "cabins" for "vagina", "pernod" for "penis" (whatever that is), and "chung" for you-know-what (doesn't it sound kinky?). You get "sick" for "****" (get well soon, Richard!), though it does offer "****'s" and "Rick" as alternatives.
In Spanish it is similarly ridiculous, and even more irritating, because we spaniards DO swear like truck drivers in any kind of speech.
It cannot be turned off by any means I have discovered.

[Q] Does anyone else have this problem with the capacitive buttons?

Is it just me or ever since Ive rooted (Ive only been on CM9 and PA since I have had this phone for not too long), that sometimes when waking up the phone, there is a very annoying delay until the capacitive buttons light up and can be used?
Thanks!

It happened to me on CM9 and PA (ICS and JB). It was a little more frequent on CM9 i believe.
It happens to me on ICS and only when I'm connected to wifi. On 3G or 4G they come on fine. Everybody knows this phone has wifi staying connected issues since ICS, I bet the two are related.

Volume is limited on all Jellybean ROMs.

Hey everyone! I've noticed a problem with every Jellybean ROM I have flashed. Basically, with headphones, the volume is only about 1/2 as loud as any other ROM that isn't Jellybean. Anyone else have this problem, or a solution? Thanks!
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
Its a known bug . You can use Vodoo from the play store or try the FK09 leak. The volume bug seems fixed on it but watch out it will wipe your internal sd so make a backup of important files on your pc or external sd.
Edit:volume+ sux

Download Voodoo Louder in the app market...If your phone is rooted it optimizes the kernal and I know it was just updated for jellybean support...
Try the latest Codename

Codename aka CNA is a jellybean rom in the Dev section. Op stated that the volume bug is fixed. Sweet rom too I was running it till I get my S3. Give it a try.

I use Volume+ and works well. Requires a restart before it kicks in after you set it for JB ROMs. Ignore the devs warning that it doesn't work for JB. Best $1.99 I've spent in awhile.

I was a volume+ user till I tried vodoo. Never will use anything else again.

I tried Volume plus and could not get it to work, it just like distorted the audio. I got Vodoo and it makes it super loud if I want and does not distort the song! I love vodoo
