First, thanks to criptix for joining me tonight, being prepared and following instructions. He was a great help and hopefully these images can help make some noise around here. I will add the system image as soon as it's finished uploading. The system image is stock, fresh factory reset, with root.
Boot.img
Recovery.img
System Image ZV8
There will be a CWM flashable .zip available soon also, so you can fix yer junk if need be. Nothing fancy, but you can feel free to kang, theme or whatever you can do.
Check out my GitHub for some helpful tools and scripts should you choose to try your hand at making kernels.
Cheers and out!
Do you possibly have a ZV8 image unrooted and completely stock? I would like to include in my tool the option to un root. Thanks for your hard work.
great, we needed and still need some more noise
will try it out after finals. good work

No. But it's on my todo list and maybe we can write a script to unroot in the meantime. If I write it in bash can you transliterate into shell?
Great resource, thanks!
this is moving right along! I have a nexus s and when I upgrade it seems it will be an easy transition to a rooted, possibly rommed device!
ZV9 just dropped in the rdf page. If jelly bean pops up I would expect to see more people buy the phone and more developers coming our way. WIN WIN!

Just making sure it was not a typo. Depending on how complex your bash is, i might be able to help you out. Or i could write one in shell that erases system and replaces it with an unrooted stock image.

we neeed someone to capture in before they install it. it will be in the cache. then upload the update
Any idea of what's included with this update? Probably the same changes as MA4, other than the fact that this one is actually official (OTA).
I JUST got this update too - I'm rooted & obviously want to stay that way, heh. What is new in this update?
Edit: Just pulled the update from cache - 157.6 megs, named ac3e74a5a71c.update_SPH-L710_LJ7_to_MA6.zip.

Thanks very much man I'll let the video makers know so they can get their guides up
Here is the official google client link:
MA6 Update Link
I've looked high and low to no avail. Usually there's a list compiled by one of the more brainy folks of apps that we can remove without losing functionality. Does one exist? Now that I'm rooted and unlocked I'd like to know what I can trash. Debloat that is... thanks in advance.
I've posted in the proper section, so please no trolls or flamers. :banghead:

I've never seen a list but I believe the imperium ROM has a zip of all tha apks that were removed. It might be first post but im pretty sure its somewhere in the thread. ROM toolbox has worked good for me removing Google books and Google magazines as well as some sprint apps.
It is safe to remove:
Backup
Video Editor
Voice command
Voice recorder
LG tags
Notebook
Tasks
SmartShare
That is what I have removed with no issues.
Thanks guys. I never looked in the Rom thread cause I was never interested in flashing stock roms lol I mainly wanna get rid of the apps that wake up and run in the background. Google+ talk Sprint stuff etc...

Save yourself some time and wait for the JB update to Imperium. To give you and idea, I removed over 400 things from the ICS version. I would make a debloat script for it but with that many items and apk swaps it's faster to simply flash it and install what you want. In short, barebones builds are my thing and kind of what I'm known for.

so if were to take him 3hrs to go through and delete what is not necessary for his liking, does that mean imperium could be released sooner than that? then he would save some time. j/k, im just bad with patience. i really liked your ics rom and i know im not the only one. thanks for all your efforts

ZVB is 4.1.2. If your phone updated to zvb then you were on zv9. And you should update to zvb before root and unlock.
1000's have used FreeGee and not had issues since zvb came out in March.
I just used FreeGee again yesterday to unlock ZVC, so it works just fine.
On phone now, but give me a minute and I'll post a couple links here.

So, it seems that a few people around XDA have the G3 Vigor, such as myself. But the issue is, none of the root methods currently support this device. That being said, I'd like to know how to go about possibly finding an exploit(if need be) and using it to root this thing. I've searched plenty, but haven't found a good solid place to start. I'm not afraid to Mrs with some code, and any help would be greatly appreciated.
Found the exploit
So, I know where I need to attack to get root access. But I'm still unsure of how to go about doing it. Any ideas?

No root access yet. Been watching the Stump Root method to see if they add this phone and no updates yet. I just got this phone although is a slightly different version of the LG 3, looks like it has a different way to access root. Let's wait and see if anything pops up soon. If you found a way to exploit it, let the dev of the Stump Root method know.
