Repo sync around 2 pm today and cherry picked in the new boot animation for CM10
Aug 22nd-new boot nightly
My personal opinion is that I prefer this over cid anyday!
Or you could just flash the boot animation in the theme forum

can anyone help me with this small but really bugging problem.
i've been using Tbalden's CM9 and currently CM10, everytimes there is a new update, i'll flash it. now im on CM10 preview 4, but i still get this CM9 boot animation, any help guys
I think that there is no new boot animation done yet. Think they just use the old one for now. I also have CM9 boot animation in CM X and I have never had CM9 Rom in my HOX.
Think that new boot animation is not very high on priorities list...
Yes CMX has the same boot animation of CM9. I think that a new animation will arrive with the stable version... hoping soon because JB is another word respect ICS =)

here in post #693 is new boot animations if someone likes to use them. Enjoy!
I know JB is pretty much new to our device and I'm loving my JB experience so far. But just out of curiosity is it possible to set boot audio for a JB rom (specifically Whitehawx AOKP JB ROM)? I used old ICS method to change boot animation but the old ICS method doesn't seem to work the same for boot audio. Thanx in advance

Hey guys
I'm not having much luck with the AOKP JB build 2 for the toro plus
the thread over on RW is here http://rootzwiki.com/forum/499-sprint-galaxy-nexus-development/
I tried installing the Rom but I get stuck on the Google Splash screen
I did a full wipe before I flashed the rom
CM10 AOKP Build 1 and other JB roms work fine.
Anyone on Toroplus have luck with this one?
On my At&T Galaxy S3 I have installed this kernel
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2226290
- I have installed this kernel on both CyanogenMod 10.1 M3 and AOKP MR1 Milestone 1 to see which ROM works for this kernel.
-I wiped cache and dalvik
-The kernel doesn't seem to work on both ROMS
-Is it normal for the screen to be black after the Samsung Galaxy SIII screen?
-If so how long do I have to wait for it boot up?
-I would also appreciate it if you send me links to kernels, or a list of kernels that work with either CyanogenMod 10.1 M3 or AOKP MR1 Milestone 1
-I would like it if the kernel could overclock my S3's CPU and GPU.
-I really appreciate any help, thanks!
use this with the aokp 4.2.2 milestone: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1916103&d=1367068269
when you flash a kernel, it needs to be compatible with the rom version you are running. to avoid this soft brick down the road, grab a release of the kernel that is close in release date to your rom's release date. this will better pair the two. if your rom is running the packaged kernel, say version 3.4.41, then the custom kernel you want to flash should be 3.4.41 or earlier.

This kernel is Ktoonsez only kernel version that will work with AOKP M1. The newer ones are compiled from new sources that break the display. ie the black screen with sounds and buttons. Flash AOKP M1 then flash the kernel (wipe dalvik/cache and fix permissions right after the kernel installs) then flash GAPPS. This will give you what you want. Always flash in that order if dirty flashing. I am currently running AOKP nightlys and they are stable and give me no issue. also using the most current ktoonsez kernel. The kernel can be tuned with an app that is installed when you flash the kernel.
