Flashing without SD CARD - Samsung Epic 4G Touch

I recently lost my sd card and noticed that some of the older recoveries don't recognize internal sd cards but those are the ones that are recommended for flashing ICS and JB roms. Kernals/recoveries that I can flash to that will still recognize internal sd and are safe for things like cm10 or aokp.
Also I've never flashed a modem separately but was wondering if I do that in recovery/odin mode, or if I need to use the desktop odin.

Buy a new sdcard

I think you just contradicted yourself and not meaning to. Recovery/odin mode are not one in the same.
I have used the Kuban kernel and agats to flash from internal, while in recovery.
You can use odin mode on the phone, with desktop odin, to flash tar files..
Rovar is right, imo; get another sd. Hell, get a 2 gig for 5 bucks for now if its a money issue.

Stuck in CWM I need help!

So last night I was running Starburst Rom and decided that I wanted to theme it, so I downloaded the theme I liked for it, flash it in recover, but when I reboot the system it kept boot looping. So I figured that I needed to format it, so I went back into recovery and used Caulkins Format All zip, flashed it, then flashed the theme again. OUCH this time my phone would just show the yellow triangle and Samsung logo ( start up page). I can still go back to recovery but all my other Roms are gone so I cant even restore my phone or anything! What can I do? I used Heimdall to root, can I go back and re root again? Would I still get the stock rom? HELP
Download a rom onto an sd card and flash it from recovery. Format all wipes your entire system, you use format all to have a clean slate before you flash a new rom. You have no os now.
Edit: You could also flash the stock .tar they just put up in the development section, just make sure you read the instructions first or you could hardbrick.

You don't. You download it to a pc or mac and then transfer it to a micro sd card and then put the card in the phone and flash the Rom from recovery.

Your going to need a computer at some point if you've lost root. You can at least get the phone working again though.

I have a computer, and I can dowload a rom into it, no problem, my issue is that I cant get this on my SD card due to me not being able to mount the phone in recovery. I tried and it wont. So my solution would be to go to a friends house that has an Android, download a ROM into their phone with my SD card then go back to my phone and flash it.
Do you still have a custom recovery or just the Samsung recovery....sorry i should've asked sooner.

I have lots of those, the one on the phone is a 16GB and it has NOTHING on it.
I'd just flash through Odin or Heimdall and start over.

Right I am with you, but my question is, if I flash through Heimdall again will I get the stock rom? I know by using this method I am flashing a kernel, but since I have no OS as you stated because mY dumb *&^% formatted all, would I get the rom back this way?

The link i posted is stock. After thats done you can reroot and go from there. Make sure you uncheck the boxes in the instructions or you'll brick. If those options aren't shown then don't flash it. I don't know macs very well.

Let me research to see if Odin is Mac compatible but I doubt it.

Heres another option I've used myself. As far as I know you have to use Heimdall, its the mac version of Odin but I don't know any of the commands or how to use it.

[Q] How do I use Mobile Odin?

I recently bought the app and I used used it once to flash the EL26 kernel, just to try it out, but I can't seem to find out how to use it other than that.
Any links or assistance would be much appreciated!
TIA!
Anyone can reply you know...its rude to ignore people asking for help.

I just use it to flash el26+cwm kernel. It can also flash modems and some stock roms.
Sent using Tapatalk 2 Beta-5 on AOKP 32 ROM
I haven't used mobile odin a whole lot, but from my understanding, you download the tar file you need, whether its a kernel, modem, or rom, and it scans your external and internal cards for the tar. Click on what you want to odin, again kernel, modem, or rom, and it odins the file. It's just a convenient way to odin without using a computer.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
Also, Mobile Odin doesn't raise flash counts or invoke the yellow triangle.

You can use it to flash modems, but they don't stick sometimes. I've heard there is a way to flash them using it.

I'm glad you told me because I thought I was doing something wrong.
For some ROMS the devs ask you to wipe your phone to install ROMs fresh. I use Calkulins Format All when in recovery.
How does Mobile Odin work if you need to wipe your phone?

ROMS aren't flashed through Odin typically . Odin is used to flash stock.

download mode, odin, ??????????, profit
well right now i have no files on my internal sd card cause i formatted that :S
i think one way i can fix it is if i can restore from external sd card which i can't find a cwm recovery version that supports it at the moment...
Have you tried using TeamWin recovery? I cant confirm if it reads external SD but others have reported that it does.

i flashed twrp through odin and flashed a new rom from external sdcard since i only have a 1gb microsd on hand.
thank you so much!
External sdcard readers and a recovery that reads external (cwm touch 4.8.4.5) ftw. I'm pretty sure twrp does read ext also though.

That link is a full restore to stock FI03. So no. You need ODIN. Cables are cheap. Just go buy another cable

The OP didn't say if they were already rooted by a repacked ROM/KERNEL which would be required to use MOBILE ODIN.
As a side note, the OP should also make sure they understand this thread:
"How not to turn your phone into a paper weight"
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1494114
EDIT: MOBILE ODIN isn't a EMMC BRICK RISK. So if you are rooted, you can mobile odin to that rom. If not, you need a cable to get rooted.

But I should have asked if they were rooted... If they are, you are correct sir. And they can just CWM flash the FI03 modem afterward and still get the modem. It would just be a separate step.

I have rooted, upgraded a few times using one clicks, and even installed Agat's safe recovery. Maybe I should finally read through that thread!
if you want cliff notes... get a cable. odin the cwm I posted. flash. reboot into recovery. flash away safely.
There's a cwm flashable FI03. You can download on phone like i did or use a micro sd to sd or micro sd to usb adapter and download via computer - once downloaded and sa ed to your micro sd you should be able to flash the file from phone...
