I did.. but I have formatted my sd card since then

"fastboot getvar version-main"
should give you something like this " version-main: 1.29.728.12 "
That's the string of numbers you should be looking for to match with the RUU (in my case: RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_ICS_40_hTC_Asia_SEA_WWE_1.29.728.12_Radio_1.1204.105.14_release_261350_signed)
Notice that the tread you posted that you are going to follow begins the first line with "Due to the lack of time, I cannot update this thread as frequently as I want to, so from now on, please refer to the HTC One X - XDA Developers Wiki".
I highly recommend following the wiki, it's gold.

[Q] Flashing new ROM on my Rooted Device -HBoot 0.80

My current Specs
ROM: Leedroid v1.8c
Hboot: 0.80
Radio: 32.43.00.32U_5.09.00.20
Kernal: 2.6.32.15-gfc9c0527 [email protected] #1
As gingerbread ROMS are on the baking, I am planning to upgrade my ROM.
Its been a while since I did my rooting and flashing my ROM.
And with all the things i have to get right I must have forgotten a few.
Am I right in saying I will have to update both my Radio as well as the Kernel before i upgrade to another ROM as my current radio and kernel must be outdated.
If so, do i need to update just radio or kernel and in which order.
Secondly where is Hboot 0.80 standing?
I had to change my Hboot from 83 to 80 as 83 could not be rooted because of security form HTC before. I am not sure that is the case now
Can i still use 0.80 for flashing ROMS?
I can see something juicy called S-off hboot? Is it worth the hassle?
I don't mind the HTC security as long as i can flash new ROMS.
Any advice is welcome
Thank You
Edit: So sorry i thought i was in desire question section. Wrong section. Mod please move it? thank you
You just flash a ROM that takes your fancy - it'll have the kernel and everything in it. You just need to pick a radio to go with it (there will always be a recommended one in the ROM thread)
Just to clarify, I do not need to touch my Hboot ?
No u dont...

UK 3 Stock ROMS

Howdy!
I need a stock rom which will work with my UK 3 phone. I've have six failed rom installs. I can't access the site posted in the NOOB guide for stock roms so I'm stuck. I've tried flashing the other ones posted and they fail to install. (I mostly need a stock rom so I can be safe incase of custom rom issues).

Hello all,
I recently brought a One X from some guy, and It seems it is not running stock rom.
This it what it says

What is this ROM, is it good? What ROM should I use if i Want to put stock HTC rom.
You're using maXimus v2.0. Thread for that ROM is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=24894142
As to whether it's any good, try it out. Try out some others, see what you like. If you want to go back to stock there's plenty of guides floating about: you'll have to find them yourself though because it's a hassle getting links to multiple threads on the Tapatalk app and I've got a cat sleeping peacefully on my stomach that I don't want to wake up so I can't get up to the computer. Sorry.
Also, you've posted this in the wrong place but it'll be moved shortly so don't worry about that.

Wrong place to put it m8.
Anyway, your phone is running a custom rom called maximus V2.0, with stock kernel and based on 2.05xx leak.
First of all you shouldn't be asking questions here. This is the android development section, you should ask your questions on 'One X Q&A'. Please read the rules first.
Your phone is running 'maXimus V2.0' rom. Every ROM is good. Try different roms and decide which one is best for you.
You will find stock roms here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1543604
Flash the appropriate one. But I think you should have your 'Unlock_code.bin' if you want to use custom roms in future.
And a little advise, do not do anything if you don't know what you are doing, why you are doing, and what you will do next

[Q] Is my Desire Rootable??

Background..
I'm not an expert, but I have root 5-7 different founds since the birth of the original HTC EVO.
I bought this HTC Desire from someone and using it on AT&T with no issues.
I believe it's an HD version.
Hardware
Memory 768mb
Display 4.3 inch
Main Camera 8m
But I am trying to root the phone to change the rom and install Titanium backup and more..
I've read a lot of different rooting methods over the past 5 days..
OneClick doesn't support the Desire HD.
Trying Ace Root Tool.. But running into some issues...

Have you read the whole OP at the Ace Root Tool thread?? It tells you what to do if your build is not supported.

There was a guide on xda - Advanced Ace Hack Kit (AAHK) but its not there now, I believe its still available on google somewhere. Thats what I use, mine only had sense 2.1 on it when I got it, and tbh I would think the guides thatvare here should work fine, its not one of the newer models, they came with sense 3 stock

But if you try to use it, it can't download the files it needs.

Advising to use a retired tool is dangerous. the Hack Kit works flawlessly if you know what you are doing. Otherwise you might get stuck and without support you can regret it in the big way. He should use the current supported tools until he is aware of the risk he is taking.

That is just for devices running Sense 3.0. For a Sense 2.1 running Gingerbread 2.3.3 the Hack Kit should work fine with the files included in the folder. However, the risk of getting stuck is big not being aware of what the process involves.
Thanks for the information guys...
And yes, I understand.. Rooting is always a risk....
Sorry about misinterpreting my Build number..
I thought 2.3.3 worked on all these Root hacks.. But I realize now that 2.3.3 is not the build number..
Hoping to figure this out soon.. Now to start searching and doing some more reading..
This worked for me..
I know I was taking a chance.. But I only paid $30.00 for the phone and it didn't seem like a bad idea..
Found the following comment from glevitan ****** Use at your own risk *******
The Hack Kit downgrades the firmware if your OS version is above 2.3.3...and yes, the HTC update is in their site in .exe file...just run it and done!
get it here: http://dl3.htc.com/application/htc_inspire4g_att_RUU_3.20.502.52_US.exe
Worked like a charm...
Than used the Easy Ace Root Tool to seal the deal...
Now to comb the ROM's to see what I want...

[Q] Where to Begin from Viper 4.0.1...

Hey folks, not new here but forgot a lot of the stuffs I learned long ago from not upgrading in a while. I pretty much stopped upgrading stuffs since i installed Viper One 4.0.1. I want to get back to the top with the freshest Viper One Rom but it looks like there's a lot of hoops for me to hop through now. Here's where i'm at currently:
Software Information:
Android Version: 4.4.2
HTC Sense Version 5.5
Software Number: Viper One 5.0.0
HTC SDK API Level: 5.68
Kernal Version: 3.4.10
Baseband Version: 1.12.41.1112_2
Build Number: 4.19.401.8
Hboot Information:
S-On
Hboot: 1.54.000
Radio: 1.12.41.1112_2
Recovery: TWRP v2.6.3.4
Looking to move up to current viper one i see i need stuff like current firmware, which requires S-Off, which looks very tricky. A simple list of stuff that needs to be done would be nice, lnks are more then welcomed...
BTW, I just flashed viper one 5.0.0 not knowing whether it'll work but looks like it is?

To gain s-off you'll need to use Sunshine by Jcase. Sunshine has a license fee of $25 To use sunshine you will need to be on a stock rom.
if you want to go s-off and are okay with paying the $25.
Back up your current phone nandroid and sd contents to a pc or mac
RUU back to 100% stock (this will wipe everything off the devices. make sure you backed everything up)
run sunshine
pay $25
achieve s-off
install custom recovery
install viper one 7.0.2
profit.
