Multiasking is much smoother if you use some form of swapping, a custom Sense rom that supports a swap partition on your SD card would be your best bet outside of using some apps like SuperCharger and other tweaks.
At the very least it would least keep some of the apps from crashing as they are pulled from cache and back into memory when needing to be used.
Personally I don't see the huge appeal with Sense, but I guess it's more of a personal preference than anything else.

You by chance using anything like an App Killer or SuperCharger etc?
PS: Sense 3.5 and earlier is Gingerbread right? (seems more likely to get that kind of free ram on a GB rom than it does on an ICS one).

TW UX Launcher/Theme?

I'm wondering if there are any TW Launchers or themes out there that I can install for CM10 based roms, I like the homescreen transition and app drawer on the TW. Anyone know of any?
I don't know how to post links, but I just came to the s3 from the s2 skyrocket. If you go into the apps in the skyrocket forums, you will find a post for the tw launcher. I used it on codename when I first got my s3 and it worked great.

[Q] GeoTagging Stock Camera

Hello,
I am currently running TouchWiz on my Galaxy S3 I have tried different roms such as Liquid Smooth. I love
the experience and the stability however I miss the Stock Camera app and therefor back on TouchWiz.
The one thing that I miss the most is GeoTagging my photos with the stock Camera App. Does anyone know
if there is a hidden feature or another App in the market place that will allow me to do this.
Or is it possible to port over the TouchWiz camera to a custom rom?
Thank You,
Kristopher
I'm using black jelly and it has a GPS tagging option.

I just realized I misunderstood. Its not possible to port the TW camera over. And there is (or should be) a GPS tagging option in CM10 if I remember correctly.

But it shouldn't need any cm10.1 files in order to work, right ? Just switch out a could of files to port it.

hey have you tried it with the kernel yet and did it boot? i think the cm files are in the device tree which will not allow the rom to boot with the kernel

Yes. Too much cm pieces. Cm blocks a really great kernel and you have enough cm stuff to make the pure aosp not boot. Like someone said please use Samsung files not cm.

Is NFC working with this build? I see the option there in the settings but it is "greyed out" and I cannot check or uncheck it.

Booted fine for me. Used camera one time, started to freeze, now it says "cannot connect to camera" when I click on it. Loving this ROM, just gotta have that camera fixed to have me on board for good.

[Q] Disable CPU rendering???

Does anyone have any ideas about this? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1877183
most ics+ roms already use gpu for rendering, im not sure about gb though.
i do know that in "the classic" gb sense rom in the original dev section you can enable or disable gpu rendering.
Theres a line that you can add to the build.prop to do this

Um, can I just ask, is this good or bad? Do I want this? How will my life get better?
If it's good in some situations and not others, then which ones are which?
Why isn't this already part of the stock ROM configuration? There has to be a catch.
Sent from my PC36100 using xda app-developers app
I know almost all custom roms use it and there are no issues. As far as stock goes I don't use them so I can't say.
