Has any one got a hint about any development for our beloved G2 for 4.1 jelly bean sense 4 cant wait to have that on my g2 :fingers-crossed::laugh: or even a stable jelly bean rom pls let me know wanna pull out the smallest bit of fun FUN from my G2................ant body
I don't think there are Sense versions of Jellybean right now. Jellybean is still in alpha stages by the looks of it. If you want to try, go here
If you want a stable ICS build, go here. This version has almost everything working with Sense 4.0 on Android 4.0.3 ICS with just afew bugs. Very stable IMO as I'm using it on my DZ as well.

I currently have the MIUI rom from http://miuiandroid.com, currently version 2.3.16, with Android version 2.3.7
I used to have proxusers version of MIUI, which uses Android version Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.3. This was a couple of months ago and the version I had wasn't stable at all, several things didn't work properly and it became so frustrating I went back to the Gingerbread version of MIUI.
I was wondering what roms are very stable at the moment? I am looking to install a new rom but not too sure what to go for, in the rom section I used to see just Sense and MIUI roms, but now there seems to be more. Are there any stables Android version 4.0.3 roms?
There are many easy to use ROM
IceColdSandwich by Lord Clockan is very stable. Best at the moment.
Sent from my Desire HD using xda premium

I agree, you should flash ICS. I get amazing battery life and performance with that ROM.
if you still want GB i recommend RCMIX 3D Runny 4.0 or Virtuous Affinity 2.05, both with Sense 3.5. if you wanna go with ICS, as they say in the posts above, go for IceColdSandwich, but that's a Stock ICS ROM, no Sense. As for Sense 4 ROMS posted on the forum, i recommend patience until they're fully finished (thats for Sense 4.0 Lite) or wait for the full Sense 4, whenever that will come out ported and stable
Android revolution 6.3.2 seems the most stable for me, 7.0.3 is almost as stable but has some camera issues it seems.
Sorry if is a stupid question, but it´s posible to take CM10 base and add all sense 4 stuff to make a Jellybeam Rom with HTC Sense 4?
It´s this so complicated, and we need to wait until HTC release some leak ROM with JB and Sense 4.0 or 4.1 to one of his mid-range terminal with non HD screen?.
Currently using Nik Project X v4.1 that works pretty well, but want to have JB without loosing Sense.
Thanks for all.
I think it's not possibly for this monent, because HTC Sense 4 applications (Camera.apk, and others) are compiled using ICS frameworks.
For example, when I try to install Camera.apk from 4.0.4 ICS to 4.0.3 (via adb install), it gives an error, that shows difference in FW version.
This belongs in Q & A, not development bubba
Looking to go ASOP. Stock android has come along way since ICS. Looking for some Jelly Bean if it's stable if not i'll settle with a ICS rom.
What's the best?

Samsung hasn't made any Jelly Bean for our galaxy W. It means, we cannot upgrade it via KIES. The only thing you can do is flashing custom ROMs like CM9. It should give you the ICS. CM10 is still in development which is Jelly Bean. It is not fully working yet so be patient for jelly bean.
Thats true.
Usually samsung just release 1 firmware update for their device. Max 2. I mean update for android version not just update for baseband or value pack.
So dont expect more from samsung.
Its understannable, since they too often release new device.

It's so stable and the performance is even better than stock. The only thing you cannot use in CM9 is FM radio... Other than that works perfectly. You will love it, I bet it.
I've been hit and miss, most suck. So what are the best ones to port from?
For sense or aosp-based?

Desire S works good for both, so does Desire HD. I've tried to port one sense ROM from HTC Incredible S (A Full Sense 4.1 ROM) but it hangs on a screen with "Process system is not responding responding. Would you like to close it?" with touch not working. AOSP roms work good to port from inc. s though. Almost any HTC msm7x30 device will work, and possibly some from other manufacturers. Desire and Nexus One are okay for AOSP-based but you can encounter issues related to legacy things.

Yeah well I want to make a 4.2.2 rom. Better to try and build from source? If not what should I use as a base? cm10?

Shpongle has troubles with porting other 4.2.2 ROMs and using it as a base. Better to build from source.
Does anyone have a stock AOSP from source I can turn into my own ROM? hahahahahah

In order to port a rom u need a SAME version as BASE
sent from my katana
waiting for kernel to test it
It will never work even with kernel.. If you want to port 4.0,you need a 4.0 rom as base. 4.1, 4.1 as base. So for 4.3 we need a 4.3 base which we don't have. You probably used shpongle as base which is 4.2 so it would never work
