Random question. - Samsung Epic 4G Touch

Hey all! I have a gs2 that I was going to do a factory reset on. If I do this will I lose root on the phone?
It is currently running the leaked stock ff18 build.
Thanks for the help.

Software update: LS970v9. Anyone downloaded this yet?

Hit my phone an hour ago. I'm rooted and unlocked, don't want to risk bricking my phone. Is this JB?

Also, apparently it has installed and will complete upon phone restart. Lol...hopefully I don't have to jump through hoops.

No it's not JB.

K, is it safe to update or will this brick my phone? I'm holding off restarting and I'd like to know if I need to freeze some stuff.

Ty very much friend. Everything is working as it should then. Every once in a while the keyboard will freeze ever so slightly though.

Flash 4.2 keyboard with a cmw zip. The Samsung keyboard was terrible with the update.
Or swift key if you are unrooted.

Can I do that without root or anything?

Not the 4.2 keyboard but swift key you can... There might be an apk for it out there. I've always had root though. Do a search.
