Hi!
I would like to know if it's possible to change the region/languages on a One X without opening the Bootloader at HTCdev etcetera.
As it is now, I have a version with German, Turkish etc on it. I'd like to convert it to Scandinavian region/languages. Possible or not?
Thanks!
Try going through the HTC Setup application, might have something.
Download an app called morelocale2. Might work for you.

Wow! This actually works! Thanks alot! :good:
Hmm... is there somehow any way to change the location in the "Customization Setting Provider"-file/executable/config?
No more "Customization Setting Provider" in the Jelly bean update
is there another way to change language ?
thanks

worked on my HTC-One from Ireland, using it in Finland. Was able to switch to Finnish since i didn't want to use a side-loaded app while there's means within the rom, abit handy for me. Thanks for the tip, though 'Customization Setting Provider' is not listed as above, but i found it using Rom-Toolbox app manager. Thanx.

Awesome, thanks! Unfortunately, it says the settings don't hold through reboot?

Yeah, most of those apps on the market require you to buy the paid version to have it stick. If you find a setting that you are happy with though, you can modify your build.prop in /system to make the change permanent (until you change it again anyway).
Edit: Process described in this thread.
Hey, all.
I was just browsing the web when I found an app- Market Unlocker
If you're not living in USA, you probably don't have access to some pretty cool apps like Vevo etc.
This app converts the market app of your country to Android market of USA (or any other country for that matter) and back with just one click.
Using this app you can even access Amazon appstore (not sure, haven't tested yet)
I cannot post any links as I got the .apk from a friend
(Google will help you there)
I am in no way related to this app, and do not hold responsibility for damage that may come to your device using it.
Full credit to developer.
I just shared it cause I liked it pretty much and thought you guys would as well.
If you did, just spare a second and press that thanks button.
Peace.
works thanks

I dont have this restriction but I sure would like to know if there is a fix for the incompatibility restriction. Some apps arent buyable/installable even though they actually work (great) on our ace. Even more apps will be restricted just by changing the DPI.

Unfortunately, I dont have an answer for that question.
I just know that there are some pretty major restrictions imposed internationally which makes universal apps not-so-common.
I just hate the fact that there are different android markets for different countries, specially when great apps are denied to us.
As for the dpi, some apps crash when they're run at a different dpi...

I skipped the initial set up of Google Now when I upgraded my HTC One X to Jelly Bean. Now I do not get an option to activate Google Now Cards on my phone. I have tried uninstalling updates to Google Search app and updating again from the Play store. I have also changed all my security and privacy settings for Google Now to work. But I do not see any option to switch on Google Now again. I live in UAE. Can anyone help.

I've just released a location based reminders app. It's called Geobells. It works similarly to Google Now, but (in my testing) is significantly more accurate. In addition, it offers more features such as reminding you when you leave a place or at any place of a certain type (for example, any grocery store instead of just one). If you're still looking for a location reminder app, you should try it out. Click to view on the Google Play store

I'm pretty sure that the app works on your devices, so I think it's because of where you live. What country are you in? I've made the app not available to some countries because a) Sometimes ads don't work with them and b) There aren't that many English speakers in the country (therefore I don't make it available because no one would be able to use it).
Anyways, if you tell me your country, I can add it to the list of available countries, and then you should see it on the store within a few hours.
Oh and btw, the reason you see the full version is because I haven't gotten around to selecting specific countries for it (lol)
Thanks!

I've just added Portugal to the list of countries. You should see it on the Play Store in a few hours. Keep in mind that the app is only English language supported and you have to use English (shouldn't be a problem, you seem to know English well)
