Help PORTing Alien ROM from SKYROCKET

Not many roms are coming out can someone atleast port them over from skyrocket id like to have the alien rom working how it should i hope i put this in the wright place to so every one will see

I will work on it a little later today.

You should do some of the newer ones. I've flashed the aosp themed one and the venom and they are quick and data seems to not lag as much when using 4g.

If you have the rotation issue, use a t989 kernel instead of a skyrocket kernel.

FYI
If you don't know what section this goes in I believe it has been mentioned somewhere, "Read Me 1st" to put them in the General Section and the Mod will move it. Read before posting.

Flash in recovery then reboot let it finish booting, then go into recovery and flash one of our kernels.

I think my phone is getting froyo at this very minute as I type. I switched back to stock DL17 because I was having issues with the cooked roms. I just decided to push check for updates.... To my surprise it FINALLY started to really update. WILL UPDATE POST AS SOON AS I KNOW!!!! This is WWWAAAAYYYY overdue if it is.

FROYO!!!!
Just got that update from Verizon. Its official they finally gave us froyo. We are super behind in Android releases.

I saw this mentioned over at a, last night. So, here is my question: are all of your stats the same as the leak? (firmware, baseband, build, and kernel)? If not, I may revert, and root with soc, then do a system dump and deodex it. That way we'll have a true stock to work from.

We need to extract the update.zip! It's located in the fota folder! I'll do it when I get home if no one else has then yet I'm stuck on EC07 until then

what do u mean? i just restored back to ec07 cause i have phone data i need to copy .
i had to reflash test4 to get back in recovery. i nandroided ec09. and will restore later this evening. i got alotta errands with me moving this weekend.

ciscogee, can you link up a good dl17? The one I have is 7z extension. Md5 is invalid when I remove the extension, and trying to flash the individual files in heimdall keeps bricking me.

Im Crazy excited lol. They was thinking about us..... I think lol

You should join me I'm pretty clueless as well. but I want to figure this out...
I also have a GSIII so I'm spoiled really all I know how to do is basic debugging and getting logs for devs to fix bugs.

Ya i got a GSII Skyrocket and captivate glide ive been testing different roms just to see if i could get better at some stuff. I like to figure things out and this is one of the things that im really interested in .

I just wanted to make sure because I and several others flashed his first edition of this rom and hard bricked. That would mean he did not even flash that first rom on his own phone before releasing it to the poor unsuspecting victims. Now I have to go down to T-mobile and waste a lot of time and money because he released something without even flashing it. So don't give me crap about not reading his friggin profile and stfu.

I think its the update script causing the problems if i had to guess i looked at it and i don't think it needs to mount the partition that you have in it. I have disected alot of files and don't remember seeing this partition being mounted like this to install apps. Just a guess though I am not a professional developer so I could be wrong.

Eh I tried. Maybe it just not gonna work... Maybe some else can port it.

OK. Progress report. Found the conflicting libs causing no-boot. Removed them for now, but that will cause a fc most likely. Its probably due to hardware. I'm going to merge the lib files later but just want to test the zip without them.

Maybe it'll work with the new leaked version of 4.12?
Would it be possible in any way to port the GS3 camera app to the 4.12 leak and use the zip on that?
I would try myself, but i have no knowledge on deving at all.

Yes. That was one of my plans. Thus mod should work better on the leak. I'll use all my porting knowledge to get it to work.

I just flashed [CAM-MOD] ["Note 2 Camera"] 24.09. 30Mbit/192kbit/Hardkey-Vol.UP/SLOW/FAST-MOTION to my Omega 44.3 ROM an now its not getting past the boot screen.
Is there a way to undo me flashing the zip file?

You're talking about the S3 ROM while this is the S2 thread, but to fix it just reflash the Omega ROM
