Hello guys,
Can you advice me on some bluetooth keyboard and mouse to use with my SGS3? My main objective is to connect it to the TV via MHL cable and to read some e-mails, some you tube, and navigate in the Internet.
Thank you.

This: http://www.amazon.com/Rapoo-Wireless-keyboard-9060-Black/dp/B0072NUWNI
Rapoo's the top brand in China and Taiwan right now. Have a BT keyboard myself and have happily been using it for ages now, no problems connecting etc. The other reason being, obviously, that it's one of the cheapest in the market, lol.
Thanks freecharlesmanson and Terradune.
Terradune, is this rapoo keyboard bluetooth? I need it bluetooth because I'm going to need the usb for an MHL HDMI? On the description i seen only 2.4 ghz. I imagine that it works only with a usb dongle...

It does look like a nice keyboard/mouse but it isn't BT..
It requires a USB port for a dongle (similar to my Logitech Darkfield mouse)

I do not have it yet but it gets to me tomorrow. Reviews look great. I need it for school so i wanted it to able to be very portable. Case is perfect and doubles as a stand.

Looked around to find more info but couldn't find quite what I was looking for. First off, I wanted to confirm that any bluetooth keyboard/mouse should be compatible with the Atrix. Second, (assuming the first was correct...) I wanted to hear if people have tried other keyboards/mice with the Atrix. I'm assuming that the android related keys found on the official motorola keyboard are still available on normal keyboards, just labeled differently?
Thanks in advance!
Do we really need bluetooth? What about a usb hub and wireless kb / mouse? I don't own a bluetooth kb and mouse so dropping $100 on these is almost pointless. Anyone try this method yet:
micro usb ----> usb adapter ----> usb hub -------> usb kb /usb mouse
Either way... basically just trying to find other options for the webtop. I looked around and found out that I was mistaken about the pricing on bluetooth keyboards and mice. Apparently the Motorola keyboard/mouse aren't too ridiculously priced compared to other bluetooth options. I still feel like I could justify a regular keyboard more because I could still use it for a computer or something. Can't help but feel the moto keyboard would go unused aside from the atrix.
I'm one adapter short of testing the hub idea, I'll let you know sometime this week if it works. Right now I'm just using it with the virtual trackpad/kb...
If anyone wants to try this here is a USB gender changer that should allow you to plug a hub into the phone (for a usb keyboard/mouse) using the included micro usb cord. even tough its ~$3.00 I dont care about webtop enough to try it.

Just tried my razer Orochi blue tooft mouse when docked in the laptop dock and it paired right up and works perfect
So if this mouse works i would think any one will work.
Apple bluetooth keyboard and mouse work, if that's the way you roll. The media buttons on the keyboard will even fire up the music player on the phone. Brightness buttons don't do anything though.
It looks like the Atrix's own bluetooth keyboard is quite nice quality and very compact. does anyone have it that can give us a little review of it? I wouldn't mind using it as my main keyboard for my desktop.
Does anyone have the apple BT keyboard running on a windows 7 system? does it work well?
Logitech DiNovo Edge successfully paired with Atrix
I successfully paired my Logitech DiNovo Edge keyboard with my Atrix today and hooked the phone up to my TV via HDMI. Worked perfectly. Loved having the connection mod without needing a dock. Was able to do a lot from the couch
The DiNovo Edge has a built in mouse pad and is very sturdy and high quality. One of my all time favorite keyboard/mouse combo's.
Hope this helps.
I had actually looked at the edge in the past... seems like it would be a good pairing for the Atrix. Might have to give that a try. I just need to justify the cost to myself.

If you don't mind the size it's, imho, perfect. I have a few other BT keyboards I'm going to try to pair when I get time...if I get a chance I'll report back.
Where can you buy the Motorola keyboard?

That's not the right adapter at all... you need a female A -> male micro for one device, or however you want to then convert the other side. I'm waiting on that part then mine goes from that to a mini usb into my hub. might not work but we'll see.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0023FTRUO
Well non-bt doesn't work for me at least. I'm sure we just have to load a driver or something. I tried atrix -> male micro usb -> regual usb female -> male usb -> mini usb -> hub. It should be noted it was a powered usb hub. My mouse plugged into the hub didn't work, so I gave up haha.

Hi there, I found a bluetooth keyboard and mouse laying around so I thought I'd make a video showing some of the ways you can use it via MHL.
Seems youtube compression robbed quite a lot of quality.
Looks like ICS has improved over Gingerbread here, landscape home screen is default and better integration of the scrollwheel.
Nice video really cool feature!

Cool feature but nothing new. Honeycomb has had great mouse and keyboard... and USB gamepad support. I also have this feature on my G2x with CM7 as well on my transformer.
I have a BT thumb keyboard and BT Microsoft 5000 laptop mouse.
G2x - 2.3.7 CM7
Transformer - 3.2 Revolver OC/UV
OP: Very cool. Can any bt keyboard and mouse work with the phone? If not, which ones would you recommend?

Oh I know, I've played with it on a GS2 as well. Just noticed a few improvements for bluetooth peripherals in ICS, that's all.

Don't see any limiting factor, if you just want it as something to play with I'd just get some cheap bluetooth stuff should work fine. If you plan on using it a lot, get whatever you feel most comfortable with, I like logitech peripherals myself especially with their legendary customer service.
Yea they all connect using the same Bluetooth profiles. My BT thumb keyboard can't be any cheaper, China made el-cheapo quality ... but works great.
I've had this setup just out of boredom and curiosity but never had the need to use it in real life.
The thumb keyboard was purchased for its directional keys to use as a bad gamepad. Haven't tried it yet.

Nice video. Have you tried connecting a Sixaxis controller and playing a game?
Will any micro USB MHL adapter work or do you need a specific Galaxy Nexus MHL adapter?
For those who have the Apple Bluetooth keyboard (it is a nice keyboard) the GN currently fails to even see it to try and pair let alone connect. For comparison my Asus Transformer will see the keyboard and pair but fail to connect and my CM7 Blade/Nexus one both paired and connected
I also couldn't get a wiimote to pair natively nor a zeemote JS1 so the bluetooth controller support seems to be very limited.
@rcfcyl:
As MHL is an international standard, any cable will do the trick.

Yup, any should be fine. I bought mine off ebay which was listed for a GS2.
When connected to an external monitor, do apps that have different layouts for phones and tablets (I think the Gmail app does this, on phones it has a single pane, on tablets it has multiple panes) display the tablet layout, or the phone layout?

Just wondering if you tried a PS3 controller yet, paired one with my SGS and it works great.
Hey,
I am looking for a bluetooth mouse that can pair directly to the phone.
I got this one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002Y6CJJ8/ref=oh_o01_s00_i00_details
And although it works great on the PC, it doesn't have any kind of independent pairing without the dongle.
Can anyone link a bluetooth mouse that they can confirm working on the Galaxy Nexus?
I bought the Motorola blue-tooth mouse and keyboard and they work great.
The mouse by itself is $30 but if you buy the keyboard for $40 they give you the mouse for free! (Just be sure to add them both to your cart)
http://www.store.motorola.com/Wirel...JK7GE0?ie=UTF8&prevPageletDesc=DP:Accessories
They had this deal in December and I picked them both up. They work well, just bear in mind there is very limited right click functionality in Android. I had a grand vision of using remote desktop on my phone to access my home PC but quickly came to realize without right click it's kinda difficult.
Hopefully right click support will improve.
I'm using this one and is working great with my GN: http://www.serioux.com/products/keyboards/srx-prc82

Successfully using a Logitech M-RBB93 with 4.0.2 right now. I guess it could be useful for presentations.
I have the Logitech M310 and it will not pair. AM I doing something wrong?
I have this one that I use from logitech: http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Blue...1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1337988329&sr=1-1
It is one that I just had kicking around (I believe I got it as a gift one year) and I dont use it that often but I just sync'd it with my phone no problem and it gets the job done. However if you plan on using the phone a lot as a desktop computer I would suggest that you get a different one since its not very ergonomically suited for long periods of use (IMO although it could be just that since my hands are pretty big it is just uncomfortable for me to use for a long period).
I use a Microsoft Bluetooth 5000 mouse, paired quickly and works well. Got it on sale for $24.99 so I'm happy.

1) Make sure the mouse isn't currently paired with another device.
2) Tap the "connect" button on the mouse to make it discoverable.
Just tested with my Logitech v470 and it works flawlessly.
Razer Orochi mouse seems to work well. Haven't tested it extensively though.

my bluetooth mouse have an usb adapter for the laptop (its called logitech unifying receiver), so i think it's not a standart bluetooth mouse maybe
because there is no way to see the mouse with my gn, or even with the bluetooth on the laptop, only work with the adapter
not a big deal anyway..
What sort of applications will a BT mouse be compatible with? Buying a mouse for a phone seems hardly worth it.

Any and all applications, really. It may not make much sense (to you) for use on the phone's screen, but what about when you make use of the HDMI video output and have your phone displayed on your TV? And, of course, since it is the Bluetooth standard, you're not buying a mouse JUST for a phone. The mouse will work on anything that supports the Bluetooth HID.
Ah yes I had totally forgotten about HDMI output onto the TV. For convenience I suppose a BT mouse would be the best alternative.
I use this mouse with my Nexus GSM, works quite well, I also use it with many other computing items. Paid too much for it but I love the way it looks and how it feels in my hand.

I have bought a speedlink Bluetooth mouse. The mouse pairs using 0000 and says connected, but there is no pointer. I have connected a Bluetooth keyboard to the One X and it works perfectly...
does anyone have any suggestions how I can get this working?
Im pretty sure you cannot use a mouse, I may be wrong though.
Because even on a Win7 Tab I attempted many different mice, and NON of them displayed a "pointer", but yet, keyboards as you say worked.
I believe a Bluetooth mouse works on the Galaxy S3 as I have seen you tube videos of it working.... I should have got an S3...the HTC one X does not even do OTG with USB memory stick.... very poor the the cost of this device... thats like buying a PC and the USB slot has no host support... very poor from HTC...

Well, really, it's more like buying a touch screen phone and wondering why it's not a PC.
using a mobile phone as a pc is the future. I have a cradle, everyone will be doing it soon and using a keyboard and mouse... this can be done on a S3...
just wast to move with the times... or am i ahead?
I got it working on my China Phone Star B92M. But now i updated my android, i can still connect the mouse and see the HID icon and if i click the mouse works..... only i see no pointer??
phone updated to jelly bean and still the mouse connects but no pointer...
I gave the mouse to a mate who has an S3 and a Nexus 7 and the mouse works not not the mouse at fault....
any suggestions????
droider seeks enlightenment:
having found an excellent Bluetooth keyboard (Logitech K810) for my shiny new N7 i'm now looking for a wireless mouse, don't really care if it needs a transceiver or not. searching around hasn't yielded any particularly promising leads. (yes, i've heard of the Google machine, no joy)
is this a weird thing to be looking for? do they all work with Android so, duh!, just buy one or is it so odd/marginal/doesn't-work-so-well that i'm barking up the wrong tree?
related to this, how well do the smartphone-as-mouse apps work with a droid tablet? most say "mouse away on your PC" but i'm not seeing much about doing it on the tablet.
microsoft wedge mouse .. but like the majority of bluetooth devices, there is a bug so you'll need to wait for an update from Google to fix .. you'll probably find the same with your keyboard.
yeah, i'd heard there was a bug but so far the keyboard has been good.
so, bug aside, should any old bluetooth mouse be expected to work well? that's kind of what i'd expect but you never know, tech weirdness and all.
I got the Logitech bluetooth trackpad (k651?) and it works like a charm with my k811 bluetooth keyboard. Have them paired to my Macbook, iPad, and Nexus 7 (2013) with no problems.

Fry's had HP x4000b bluetooth mice on sale for $17.99. It pairs and works fine with the Nexus 7 (after adjusting speed).
I have an old MS 5000 BT netbook travel mouse. Works great.
I recently bought a noname keyboard and mouse from ebay, the keyboard works great... the mouse worked once and then was never able to reconnect after hours of unpairing and repairing it just won't ever work again... even tried a factory reset on the tablet no dice.... the same mouse works perfect on my s4 regardless of how many times i unpair it and reconnect
what mice are confirmed working more than once on the nexus 7
I have logitech wireless keyboard and mouse...for my N7(2013) which works really well...I got it from Amazon...and its working really fine..sometimes it creates a problem in connecting and pairing but most of the time it works smoothly and very fine....If you are facing such problems with the mouse then you better consult the customer service support as they could be the right person to sort it out.....

Ditto on that here.
magicaly it seems the mouse decided to finaly pair and connect. still shopping for a fullsize bluetooth keyboard to use my tablet as a desktop connected to my tv
I can use my Logitech K810 keyboard and M555b mouse - both Bluetooth.
Works very well, no hickups.
The K810 also have 3 switches to...switch to 3 different BT devices on the fly. I can connect my Windows 7, iMac and Nexus 7 at work flawlessly.
Well i have this combo of wireless mouse and keyboard from Logitech and its working really fine...but the only thing which is worrying me is the instant disconnect of the keyboard time and time...and not pretty sure about the battery life of the keyboard too....but at the price they are offered are worth of it...and the disconnection problem is there but not most of the time.....
this is the one which I have

hi Jimmy,
Are you using the Logitech Wireless Combo MK320 kb-mouse? How are you connecting it to the N7 - Do you have a unifying nano-receiver connected through a OTG cable?
I am trying to connect the K400 with the OTG cable, it is not working out.
Thanks,
here's wht i hav tried. worked great without any tinkering (root, 3rd party apps etc)-
1. sony ps3 controller.
2. various usb mice.
3. mircosoft wireless mouse (the ones with the usb dongle).
4. logitech wireless keyboard mouse combo.
