[GUIDE] Changing lockscreen and clock font?? - T-Mobile, Samsung Galaxy SIII

Is there ever going to be a guide to change change it? I assume the S3 is different to do this. I tried a few attemps and nothing.

I never wanted too change it but I'll look. what rom are you running

I hated the lockscreen too so I just installed Holo Locker and couldn't be happier.

FYI, you shouldn't be using a [GUIDE] tag when there is not a guide present.

Yup Holo Locker does the trick. Swipe right to unlock, swipe left for camera, plus it has a nice look.

Widgetlocker themes

Hi, can anyone tell me how i am supposed to use a theme for widgetlocker at all please?
I downloaded 3 files and chose the option of install and add, but there is only my phone lock showing, no icons to choose from and no wallpaper that was supposed to come with it.
I have no idea where the file has saved to or anything, and well being new to all of this android stuff i m a bit confused....
thanks for any help you can give me.

Lots of themes
Google is your Friend.
Hope this helps.

Long press on a slider, or press menu then add slider and you can choose theme. It doesn't change the theme as soon as you install.

How do you assign the lock homie wsllpaper? I copied the the theme to correct location & naming convention is right but canae see paper? Do you have to save wallpaper to download folder and assign from there or am i losing the plot?

the wallpapers separate you can download this attachment
that was just a screenshot of my lockscreen on my phone
theres an option in widget locker settings under look & feel where you can select a wallpaper tick alternative wallpaper and select whatever you want
Is there any way you can make a theme just like this without the lock icon in the middle? Thanks.
Hi
Quick question RE: Widget locker
I've only ever used this biefly on my old Desire.....this was some time back so my memory is a little hazy
i seem to remember that on occasions that it would either flash up the standard HTC lock screen or require me to unlock one then the other.....or something similar to this
Does this lockscreen work without the above issues (or indeed, any issues) on the S2 ?
is there any lag or any other nasties ??
Cheers

Works fine on mine so far. always showing the widgetlocker except after a fresh reboot. slight lag on the slider at times. my only concern was battery life but it doesn't seem to affect much.

Now have Cyanogen 7.03 with Questions

Want to say love the new look.i have few questions.
01.How do you change color of status bar the wifi, battery icon all to match the theme
02.is there a way to add more drawers at the bottom like launcher pro.they have 3.next to my battery in status bar i switched it to a number but theres also a horizontal line next to it,i want to get rid of it.it wasnt there initially so wonder if i made a change
1&3 you will have to change with something like meta-morph. Unfortunately the way Android is setup this does not theme the same way as everything else.
As far as the dock, try settings-adwsettings, or just use launcherpro if you like that.

[Q] Change pattern lock look?

I really want to edit my lockscreen with a custom look, but still want security on my phone. So how can I change how to dots on the pattern look? Or am I able to have the slider then the pattern lock, without widgetlocker?
P.S I'm rooted with a Nexus 4 (4.2.2) running Xylon_mako-official-2.4-beta2
Oh, sorry I put this in the wrong thread. Oops

You can use zipthemer from the market for this. Just find the images you want to use and use that app to replace then. Are you just wanting to change the color of the circles for pattern lock? If so i have some colors i could upload...

I would prefer a more radical change to the lockscreen but the colours are still good. So yes please. That would be very helpful
What would be a "Radical" change? Layout changes are pretty much out since the only thing you can easily do is change the images themselves, so that leaves either color changes or putting new/random/crazy ones instead.
Basically find/make the images you want, then replace them via zipthemer, or manually inserting them into the apk with 7zip, if you want to start to get your hands dirty.
The main ones are the 9 grid points, the dark circle under your finger, the light green and red circles, and the red/green direction arrows.
I like the setting that removes the dots completely. Jellybro has it, probably most roms do.

Custom icons ?

So before LinOS I had a old ROM for my Samsung galaxy s4(can't remember the name) that I could without a launcher what so ever change my boot animation and icon via my settings. But it doesn't seems to be there in LinOS I wanted to change my icon with LinOS (latest nightly ) but I can't without using a launcher. that bother me a little bit, since I want to stay with all the perks and fluidity of LinOS.
Yes I know I can change my icon individually (I read that on a forums) but it take times and not really practical for a "on the go" type of guy. Anyone know if I didn't look up correctly ? Thank you!

Well, do you if there is a way without using any launcher / replacing every icon manually to have a custom icons pack ? thank you.

There probably is a way which uses root and changes the icons. Not sure if there is an app developed for it.

I think you canĀ“t do it without a launcher.
You can get good results with a simple launcher like Nova, for example.

HTC Themes / Maker Pro madness

After numerous tries, I finally figured out HTC themes and Maker Pro to simply change dialer color and lock screen clock. I must be really dumb because this seemed so difficult.
There is nothing intuitive about changing lock screen clock or dialer when you want to use what you find in another HTC custom theme or even your own. I finally found a clue in an older HTC 10 thread.
If anyone knows of a short tutorial, let me know as I would like to reference it here. Maybe Google will squash this train wreck of a theming app for pure Android.
FYI, I am using Flick Launcher beta which I like but it doesn't change dialer or lock screen. If other launchers will change stock dialer color and lock screen clock, let me know.

FYI, I am using the ported Google dialer found in XDA. Very good replacement.
