Weird issue with capitalizing the letter "i" ..... - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III

I have a weird issue. Sometimes when I am typing out words, the letter "i" will capitalize itself In the mIddle of a word. LOL there It just dId It to all of these words I just typed! See the "mIddle" "It" and "dId" I can't get it to go lower case no matter what I try. It doesn't happen all the time, as you can see the rest of this post is going ok. It's only random. It's not really a big deal, it's just really weird! Anyone else have this issue? I've already tried turning off auto-capitalize in the keyboard settings, but that didn't work.

Ha! Im getting that same issue too. Thought was the only one. It's weird.

Yup get it here too on occasion. I go back and try to fix it and rewrite several times when it happens to no avail.

Yeah, it's so weird! I've owned many android phones and this is a first. Not complaining, I love my S3, but it's just really....weird. Lol. Glad to know I'm not the only one though.

I never had this happen to me...but that might be because I switched to the jellybean keyboard as soon as the phone came out of the box (in my opinion, the TouchJiz keyboard sucks!).

Same issue here. (Sometimes)
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda app-developers app

I had the same issue once after upgrading to the LG8, but after I turned off the phone and back on, it has worked fine ever since.

So I figured out that it only happens when I have to go back and add/edit something in the middle of a sentence or paragraph that I already typed out.
Sent from my seksi SGS3 using Tapatalk 2

I had same issue with the stock keyboard. Only happened when I went back to edit. Pretty sure it's a bug. Went ahead and downloaded swype.

Anyone know a way to get out of this problem? It's starting to become an issue.

Touch screen issues

This only happens when I'm trying to type a text message or play a game that requires the use of a touch pad (like zenonia 3 and 4). The touch screen just refuses to respond properly and is causing me to be annoyed. Anyone know how to resolve this issue so I don't have to go back to Verizon and get a replacement?
NOTE: I've already tried to pull out the battery, format the phone, and the sd card. None of them worked.

On aosp roms I had the same issue.. just randomly would not respond. My soft keys would still and anything but the keyboard.. I don't know why. What I would do is turn my screen off and back on and it would start normal again.. then I just went back to sense and no issues

Ok, then I think it's probably an issue with the digitizer. I would take it to Verizon and see if you can get a replacement.

I was afraid you would probably say that, but I'm probably gonna do that around march or april. Unrooting my phone is gonna be a pain and redoing the process over, but I have little choice in the matter. Thanks.

camera flash activating when shutting down

Hello,
Today when I restarted my phone, it got stuck on the "Goodbye" screen for longer than normal, then flashed the camera 3 times before shutting off. What is going on? Anyone have a similar issue? I am on stock, rooted.
Thanks
Happens to everyone, it is normal.

It may be an android thing. I remember my HD2 used to do this from time to time. I never found out why it does that though...
This happens to me quite often. Sometimes it just stay lit until the phone is completely off. It's just weird

Is it really worth it to replace my phone for this? It has only happened once over 5 months. How much did it happen to you? Does it signal something wrong with the phone if it has just happened once?
If it doesn't mean that something is wrong with my phone, I wouldn't really want to go through the hassle of a return :\
It happens to me and my brother randomly. Not a big deal

Do they replace with a brand new unopened box or a refurbished unit?
Lol really? ..jeez some of you complain about everything and anything.
LOVE the uninformed comments about how you should get your phone replaced if it does this or this is a sign of your t989 waving goodbye.
And then people wonder why the whole process of getting a replacement phone keeps getting worse.

Anyone can replicate this. While your phone is on, hold power/Vol up/Vol down all at the same time for about 10 seconds. That forces a reboot and your camera will flash until you let go.

Keyboard Issues

Hi, I have done a fair bit of searching and it appears I could be the only one with this issue. My phone has been perfect except for the keyboard, specifically the letters on the lower right side of the Keyboard like M L K and the Delete or back button. I can press and nothing happens. After about 2 or 3 times the key will eventually work. Doesn't happen all the time, just enough to be annoying. So... anyone else having this issue? I am using the gingerbread keyboard, however it doesn't matter as it happens on the stock one as well. And whats up with samsung not having auto-complete lol Thanks
Anyone? Well i guess its good no one else is having an issue hahaha

iSheep have different mentality. At least where I work... "But... wait... how... Wait a minute, I can jailbreak and do the same, just watch me"
I am not holding my breath.
I work at JCPenney's and with former apple bigwig now running the show here, its amazing how many problems I encounter daily with CR-apple devices...
I just want to pull Ron Johnson aside and tell him to invest in XDA Devs to manage competent android devices... been waiting months for any new app, and the ones we do have have are in serious need of updating(months overdue)... to think how fast devs get things accomplished for practically nothing on XDA, while apple devs under contract with JCP take months to get anything done is a travesty

First, be sure to have both apps opened. Then, on one of the apps touch on the typing area, to bring up the keyboard. Write at least one letter, and it should be able to float around. I tried to make it float without writing a single letter and it won't. Maybe it's just me, but it worked as described.
Cheers.

I wouldn't be surprised if a jailbroken iPhone could do that. And it'd be worth more in 2 years - and it'd still be getting software updates too, which I'm almost positive our Note 2s won't be getting in more than a year. >>
However, one thing the Note 2 can do that the iPhone will never be able to do is use a stylus like the s-pen. Sure, you can use a stylus, but it's like drawing with preschool crayons.
Just thought I'd be the voice of reason here lol

I don't have a note 2. I have an iPod touch and an Atrix 4G.
Apps on the iPhone can't resize. There is no framework for it. Even if it were possible the screen is too small.
Also I haven't seen any alternative keyboards.
The iPhone has a solid, simple, smart experience, however it does not have the potential of Android. An iPhone looks nicer, works seamlessly but isn't as capable as an Android phone.

[Q] Screen Sensitivity

Alright, I just had my Note 2 replaced under warranty due to overheating a shutting down (Best Buy refurb phone replaced it) and I'm running into more issues with the replacement phone than the original. For example, I use Swype to text/type, but when I try and type the word "down" for example, it will seemingly not follow my finger across the screen properly as it breaks it into two words "f2f upper" and the word "assignment" registers as "ahoy highly rent". Now, I have tried other swype-type programs, including the samsung keyboard (default) and it does the exact same things on there which leads me to believe it has to be a phone issue.
Anyone ever had a similar experience and if so how did you resolve the issue.
It happened once or twice to me so I just killed my ram to free up space. Then it started working right. Try doing that, sounds like your running low on ram so its getting glitchy.
