Hey All!
Can anyone tell me, if i installed Cyanogen Mod 10, would i be able to install Sense Apps over the top?
Thanks
no it won't work
Ok, thought as much, in that case, can anyone make suggestions for replacements?
The ones that i'm going to miss are things like:
World Clock
Calender
Contacts with Facebook/Twitter Integration
Any help would be really appreciated!
Thanks!

for calender and contacts you can use Android Pro Widgets:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rdr.widgets.core&feature=search_result
For World Clock, u can use any of these 3:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=tm.app.worldClock&feature=search_result
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.satok.gweather&feature=search_result
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pixatel.apps.Clock&feature=search_result

I heard from several of my friends who own Acer / HTC devices that there's supposed to be a native google calendar widget. However, on my i9000 I can't find it under either Android Widgets or Samsung widgets.
I downloaded a calendar widget from the market, but it doesn't look as good as the "native" one my friend showed me. Any idea where one could obtain that particular widget?
i couldnt find one either, the samsung widgets overall are very poor compared to sense UI, some of the apps are quite nice, but need more widgets.

i find this quite annoying too.. I'm now using smooth calendar from the market.
Did samsung block some of the native android widgets? or just not include? would we be able to install them without root?
I'm gonna bump this one. I really dislike the non-stock versions I find out there. I just want the stock google one. Please, someone help?
bump,
I would also like a calendar widget. Stock widgets are always better quality than custom ones

Hey peeps, can you anyone advice me for a cool messaging app? If I could reply to my messages on it, that would be amazing but its not necessary. Anything in mind? BTW I am running cyanogenmod 6 so i dont have sense (cant use that widget).
hey guys, i am running ava-froyoZ23ro. wit ADWex and for some reason i am missing several of the widgets from the "choose widget list".
does anyone have any suggestions on how to get more of the widget choices back?
Depends which widgets you're trying to use. Since widgets can only be used on htc sense, and that's why you may not see them when using adw.
On a side note, there are many widgets in the market that are made to look and function like sense-based widgets

Make sure that you didn't move the apps that power the widgets to the SD card. Widgets do not work or populate the list from the SD card and can't be used.
Hi Folks,
I own a Wildfire S with the new Update and new Lockscreen (Ring-method).Thats fine so far. But the Lockscreen looks very empty. Is there a way to get more infos like weather, Appointments, mails or something else on the Lockscreen without rooting or any other deeper Hack?
And by the way: I find the Android-Homescreen is not used cleverly. There is to much space between the Apps or Widgets. Is there a way to get them closer, so more widgets and apps can be applied on the Homescreen?
Thx so far for your replies

First questions answer is no, can't be done.
Second is download something like ADW.Launcher from the android market Google Play Store (man I hate that name) and set the rows and columns to 5x5.
Sent from my HTC Wildfire S using xda premium
How did you get the new lockscreen with the ring?

It doesn't matter if the Calender is installed, Apex or Nova won't recognize it as a usable option and I have not been able to find any calendars that you can theme to use in the same way....I am not sure what in the APK makes it not recognizable by the launcher. It's Gay
